The coffee and baristas here are poor. An Americano never has the slightest bit of crema for example. The poor quality of coffee here is particularly stunning and disappointing when you consider that this is apparently the same Fonté which has a stellar coffee experience in downtown Seattle.

3.5 stars but I’m okay rounding up for this place :) I came here because I was planning to make a stop at Specialty’s Bakery while at the mall, but to my surprise Beecher’s is here now instead. I will miss the other but this place has a nice little variety of quick quality food items(cheesy things too of course), along with salads, sandwiches, and a soup choice. Oh, and their lattes are good too by the way. Seating is limited but they do have a stand up bar if nothing else is available. The service was fast, so I was glad to see the line move in a timely fashion, and food was ready quickly as well. It’s nice to be able to take a break to eat and then get back to shopping… They are friendly here, and seem to enjoy their jobs(always a plus). I’ll be back because I liked the quick stop with some healthy choices(some comfort food items too). This time I had the beet and blue cheese salad with a soy latte… However, I noticed someone else’s order of a grilled cheese that looked amazing. I have to come back for that! :)The prices are good, at under $ 10 for menu items, except for a crab dish I noticed. The portions are great and satisfying, and as mentioned, they are friendly making this a great and convenient little stop.

Yay finally a place to eat in Bellevue mall! Unfortunately the food here is over priced and not very good. Mac and cheese tasted funky like it had been sitting around all day long, tomato soup was watery and the grilled cheese was super burnt. I will say the stuff in the refrigerator cases looks delicious and I will probably opt for that next time. 18 $ way too high for the quality food.

The cheese is incredible! But the food is ok. The grilled cheese sandwich was unimpressive, too much cheese, not the right kind for a sandwich and the bread was nothing special. Tomato soup also ok. Had a higher expectation.

I love Beecher’s, and was sooo happy that they opened one in Bellevue. It’s one of the best places to eat at in Bell Square, but, seating is really limited hence the four stars instead of five. The food, by far, is five-star worthy. It’s called World’s Best Mac and Cheese because it really is. I’m not even a huge mac and cheese fan, but I will eat Beecher’s Mac and Cheese any day. Also, their hot sandwiches are very good, especially the ones with Beecher’s cheese!(My favorite is the Turkey and Cheese with tomato.) There are to-go items like salads, sandwiches and cheese plates, but in order to look at the to-go items, you have to basically hop in line to see them because the fridge is right by where the line forms, which can cause some confusion with people who were already in line and people who just want to look at the refrigerated items. The space is definitely limited here. And every time I have been here the tables and seats nearby are always filled with families, so I end up eating at the bar-top table, which can also get packed. At least this location is much closer to me than the Pike Place Market one, which may be a good or bad thing…

I tried the Smoked Turkey grilled sandwich as well as their mac and cheese. Sharing the two items actually makes for a pretty rich lunch(or at least a very heavy snack).
The sandwich was just alright and could definitely use more meat and tomato. It was very cheesy, but the turkey was sliced pretty thin. I barely noticed it except for its slight smoky flavor and tasted mainly the bread and cheese. I did enjoy how although toasted, the bread is not brushed with oil/butter so it’s not all greasy on the outside. The mac and cheese was okay but didn’t find it special enough to be called«world’s best». The sauce was not smooth as expected and seemed pasty /somewhat gritty. It was also quite salty. The price is very steep at $ 5.50 for an 8 oz. cup. They do have one of the most extensive grab and go sections I have seen for a café which is filled with sandwiches /wraps, salads, cheese curds, cheese plates, etc. Ellenos yogurt is also featured. To the right, there are cheese samples available in addition to their large cheese display.

The food is great, but take some cheese home. They have wonderful cheeses and the cheese monger explained to me that you have around 4 hours before they should be refrigerated. He then gave me some cheese on the house to take home. If you don’t know much about cheese they will let you sample anything and talk you through the cheeses.

I haven’t been to Bellevue Square in awhile so I was surprised to find Beechers here. I hadn’t had lunch yet so I thought now would be a good time to try their world’s best Mac and cheese. I never got a chance at Pike’s Place because it was always freaking busy. I got the 8oz which was $ 5.50. It was okay, but kind of had a bitter aftertaste. I should have got the grilled cheese sandwich. They have a variety of green salads as well as pasta. They also had sandwiches, wraps, my favorite, Ellenos yogurts, cheese plates, grilled sandwiches, cheese curds and a variety of cheese wedges. The line was long but went fast. They do not have chairs for you to sit and eat but they had tables you can stand and eat off of. No worries though since there are tables with chairs near the elevator. I will try one of their grilled sammies next time.

The Specialty café used to be here, so I was shocked to see that Beecher’s Cheese now stand in its place. I’m not going to lie I do miss what Specialty used to offer. However I did try their signature Mac and cheese, I was shocked how much the stuffed into the cup. It was filled all the way up until you can barely close it.

As I was in Bellevue Square, I wanted to get a cookie for a snack and thought I would go to Specialty Bakery, oh wait… its a Beecher’s Cheese now. So I guess Ill be ordering a grilled cheese and a mac & cheese cup. As always, it is delicious!!! Mac & Cheese is very good, awesome they serve it with penne pasta, their signature cheese is super tasty along with their jack cheeses. Same thing with their grilled cheese sandwich, I believe it’s the same cheeses. It’s super toasty and hot, super melty and ooozing from all the right spots. Sandwich is pretty good size for sharing so it was enough to hold us over for about an hour. Set up for the line may be a bit confusing, you can order your coffee drink while you are waiting in line before you pay because you approach the barista before you get to the cashier to place your food order, but your coffee is over here, but your food is over there… wait are you only getting a grab & go item because you can pay over here, if not you will have to stay in the regular line… Huh? Whuuu? Anyways, Beecher’s Cheese is pretty awesome and tasty! Staff there was pretty nice, the manager guy will periodically make a PSA announcement about themselves, so stay tuned for that.

I’ve been original pike place store and Seatac airport store many times and I’d enjoyed everytime. But this Bellevue shop is disappointing. Not very friendly staff and what supposed to be the world best is not the best mac and cheese. They were not fresh and mushy. I hope owner or manager fix it to make it better.

I was initially disappointed to see that Beecher’s had taken over the corner spot of Bellevue Square’s central hub from Specialty’s Café. Don’t get me wrong, I’m a fan of Beecher’s. I send local visitors to their Pike Place Market store often. I also buy their cheese frequently and usually pick up Christmas gifts there for people who are tough to buy for. But as a lunch counter I just felt that Specialty’s just had a bit more to offer. Certainly a larger menu. But while Beecher’s menu isn’t as comprehensive, everything on it is pretty darn good. From wraps to salads, soup, and of course their Mac n’ Cheese, Beecher’s delivers. The Pike Place store is still the better attraction, but this location at Bell-Square makes a good place to stop for a tasty bite.

I’d heard so many good things about the original location at Pike’s Place and figured since this location was closer they should be just as good so I was very anxious to give them a try. I went here a little before noon on a weekday and there were only a few people in line, I was expecting some long line but hey that was better for me. While they had lots of cheeses you could purchase as well as pre-made sandwiches, cold pasta salads and of course their cheese curds, the menu was short but some of the offerings really stood out. They had various egg & cheese breakfast sandwiches, tomato flagship soup, grilled sandwiches such as the dungeness crab or smoked ham and last but not least their«World’s Best Mac & Cheese. I knew I wanted to try this World’s Best Mac & Cheese to see if it really lived up to the hype as well as their cheese curds. I got the small size of mac & cheese which happened to be smaller than I expected and a bit pricey at $ 6 or so. It was very appealing, looked and smelled awesome but I was disappointed with the taste. The cheese sauce was very creamy and had a bit of spice to it but it wasn’t super cheesy like I’d expected, it was really lacking. The noodles were also on the mushy side but I still hoped with each bite it would get better but it did not. At that point I kind of wished I would’ve tried the original location maybe I would have gotten different results. Although the mac & cheese was a big let down, the squeaky cheese curds did not disappoint. They were so yummy and satisfying, so much so that I bought 2 packs of cheese curds. While most would prefer them fried or on top of poutine they were just as good eaten by themselves. I’m very glad that I tried this place out because I was curious about the mac n cheese and of course wanted the cheese curds, I just wish this place wasn’t so pricey and I had a better experience. If you are in the area and you’re a cheese lover I would still recommend coming here. Just keep in mind they are a bit pricey and they are located inside the Bellevue Square mall.

I was so excited to see Beecher’s take over the old Specialty’s in the mall. Before eating my Mac n cheese, I tried a cheese sample that was yum yum yum. I’m a big cheese lover. I’m currently pregnant and glad to see a cooked cheese that I could eat(versus all the others I can’t eat now ;() Back to the Mac, I really enjoyed it. I thought it tasted exactly like the sample cheese I just ate. Of course the pasta will be soft since it sits in the warmer, so I’m not really disappointed by it like others. The cost is very high but I’m not surprised since their cheese is pricey too, though such a good cheese to eat.

I’m a big fan of Beecher’s cheese so I decided to give their new breakfast sandwiches a try. I ordered the cheese and egg sandwich -/priced at $ 7.50 I was expecting something pretty terrific. Unfortunately it was a bug disappointment. It the egg is a scrambled into a thin slice mixed with herbs. After a couple of bites the flavor becomes odd. There is hardly any cheese which should really be the star There is no way this is worth $ 7.50. A breakfast sandwich at Starbucks is more filling and a better value.

Went there late in the evening on a weekday and got our food almost immediately since there wasn’t a long line. They offer plenty of deli foods, salads, sandwiches, ellenos yogurt, along the area where you line up to order. The Mac and cheese wasn’t satisfying and a bit overpriced for the 8oz size you get. It was salty and a bit sickening towards the bottom of the cup. The sandwich also felt greasy and not very fresh. Not too impressed; hope the Mac and cheese improves! Wasn’t able to try their actual cheese products, unfortunately. Perhaps these rank higher in the taste category than the hot foods.

The mac and cheese served today was not up to par. I purchased an 8 oz(I believe) container for $ 5.50 and was left completely disappointed. I’ve had Beecher’s Mac and cheese downtown by the market and what I ate today left me craving for something else. The noodles were smothered in flavorful cheese sauce(yum) but we’re soft and almost mushy(yuck). I’ve made Beecher’s recipe for mac and cheese at home with much better results. Even the frozen portions at Met Market are better. I hope the recipe is fine tuned at this location which has great potential for the Bellevue lunch crowd.

Quick service, wide selection of cheeses, and great location! The line was really long, but we got our food within 10 minutes. Although sitting area is very limited, they have tables that you can stand as eat at, which I don’t mind.

Cheese Curds seem to be an anomaly outside my native Canada. People in many parts of the US live blissful lives without knowing the wonders of «squeaky cheese». I’d taken to ordering them from various places in Wisconsin and paying huge shipping fees to have them shipped to the West Coast. So it’s with great joy I discovered Beecher’s in Pike Place — unfortunately it happens to be in Pike Place. So to get my cheese curd fix, I have to deal with shady parking lots with byzantine rules, and fight a mass of tourists just to get some cheese curds. So it’s with bated breath that I awaited a local Beecher’s just a couple blocks from my apartment. Sure, you can’t view the cheese being made at this location, but you also don’t pay $ 20 for parking and traffic on the other side of the lake, so I’ll take it. The cheese curds are great, suitable for use in Poutine or other fine dishes. I also like their Jamaican Cheddar Cheese, goes great on crackers, salads or just gorging on by itself. Their flavored cheese curds are great, but a pretty expensive snack. I have a hard time justifying $ 8 for something any self-respecting Canadian can polish off in 30 seconds flat. If you like cheese, or are curious why Canadians keep talking about cheese curds, then swing by Beecher’s next time you’re at Bellevue Square.
