Yummy! A go to for any time we want to eat out! Love that there’s a gate around the outdoor eating area and a huge garage door type wall that they open up when the weathers nice. They have a great happy hour with appetizers so we can eat early for ½ off and walk down to the Lincoln. Everything here is great and surprisingly flavorful and diverse for Downtown Belleville. In the best way possible I’m saying the menu is great and is a restaurant I would drive to downtown St. Louis to visit with the bonus of it being 5 mins from home!

Love The Tavern, On Main. Reminds me of some of my favorite places up in Northern Michigan. Friendly Staff, Great Food (love the crunchy grooper). The place is always clean, and that does count. Nice job guys

Not a fan. Went in tonight to celebrate a friend having a baby. The tab came out incorrect with me being charged for items we did not order. The manager wouldn’t even listen to me. He less than professional and refused to look over the bill with me. I paid the bill but wot be back.

«Oh No!» They changed their Brady Wings! First of all, they are sooooo much smaller; Second, no sauce on them!!! I have bragged, and bragged to my husband how awesome they are and «Meh!»

tavern on main is at a great location in downtown Belleville, with an excellent patio out front. I’ve been her several times and at first didn’t really like the food, but would tolerate it because of the location and outdoor eating. I’m a vegetarian so they don’t have many options for me. At this point I would give them maybe 3 stars. Mainly based on their location.
But, then I went during lunch while they were having their lunch buffet. I was nervous being a vegetarian and it didn’t look like they had too much for me. Thankfully I asked the server and they happily brought out a vegetarian pizza and salad for me. And the soups were delicious. I was very happy with their accommodations and service. Our server was excellent and our glasses were always filled. It was so good I went the next day!
At the lunch buffet…
I had a vegetarian Italian salad, which is so good. Butternut squash soup, which was basically more of a cheddar soup, but nonetheless delicious and had great flavor. I also has the corn chowder which was also good. There pizza is very good, thin crust which is exactly what I like. There pasta was just ok. Just regular pre made bow tie pasta with a variety of sauces. Don’t forget that they have brownies too, which are not the best, but after a buffet you’re probably too full for dessert anyway. All for 9 bucks, not bad!
I will give this place 5 stars when they add more quality vegetarian dishes to the menu.

This time was the worst experiencet so far. We are regulars here and most of the time the food is decent. yesterday went there for dinner with 3 others. We had to wait more than 40 mins to get our salad and soup which was weird that it wasn’t even busy and when the soup finally came it was in a cup which i ordered bowl. sigh…didn’t wanna wait anymore so i just took the cup size. and the servers kept kicking on the kitchen door for the whole time we were there so of course it was very noisy and at the end it was just annoying. ordered seafood pasta with the 3 bad clams out of 5. scallops were over cooked and the noodle was over coocked also. maaaaaan…

Excellent. The sweet Italian salad was actually very subtly sweet… Paired with excellent blackened chicken made for a lovely evening on the patio.
Prices are also pretty good by gastropub standards.
Worth a look.

Delicious food and a lot of fun! Heather was our server and she was fantastic… will definately make the trip to come back!

I’ve been here a couple of times now and am overall disappointed. It’s a nice brewpub atmosphere and it’s located in a neat older part of Belleville, but the food and especially the service were lackluster, especially this last visit. Our server said initial hellos and took drink orders, and then literally disappeared for 25 minutes. Not cool. Once we were able to place our orders and finally get our food, the experience was underwhelming. The pizza my friends ordered was not cooked well in the middle and very soggy. My caesar side salad was extremely mushy. We ordered quesadillas as an appetizer and they were very soggy and super greasy as well. The salmon plate was fairly tasty, but by the time I got it, I was pretty miffed at the terrible service. It will be a while before I try this place again.

The food is far better than I anticipated!
It gets quite crowded, but everyone I’ve chatted with seemed like decent folks. I’d recommend getting a drink and shrimp & grits app on the sidewalk patio.

Food was in the hallway, selections were a little lite. I suppose it was just ok.
May have to go back to see what dinner is like, because lunch kind of missed the mark.
