My family and I visited The Wine Tap on a Wednesday evening. We were greeted by the hostess who sat ha outside in the front. After we were seated, another couple was seated next to us. Two waitresses came out multiple times, greeting the other table. We were completely ignored for about 10 minutes. It’s like we were invisible. After 10 minutes I stopped the hostess and let her know we hadn’t been greeted or approached by anyone. Shortly after the same girl who ignored us came to the table to greet us. It took us quite some time to get our drinks. I got the gourmet burger and it was awesome for the price. My husband had got a spicy flatbread pizza. We are pretty accustomed to spicy foods, however, this flatbread was way too spicy for the average person. Overall, the service was horrible and the food was okay. I’m not sure if I’d be back since we didn’t feel very welcomed.

Excellent food and a fun atmosphere. Wine tasting is a must. We had the bacon wrapped dates as an app — awesome! Out of the way, by a lake, with covered and outdoor seating. Definitely one to revisit!

The pizza is some of the best I have ever had. Superb beer selection with lots of rare imports. Nice atmosphere with a back patio and outdoor seating on main street.

The wine selection was wonderful. We had the meat and cheese for appetizer and the flatbread for dinner. Very pleased with the overall experience!

Love it! Very charming atmosphere and the service was wonderful. Wide selection of wines and they will let you sample before you buy(as long as the bottle is already opened). A little pricy but worth it. The vegetarian flatbread was amazing! Definitely try it out!

This is my kind of place. When you think charming old downtown main street with wine bar tucked into an old brick townhouse — that’s exactly what you get at Wine Tap. The folks here were great, especially Kelly, who was behind the bar. We went with baked Brie(ask for it well done to ensure cheese is hot all the way through) and the wild mushroom bruschetta. Both very tasty, but we should’ve added some of the meats. Kelly suggested a Pinot Grigio and a Chardonnay — both perfectly chilled and on point. They have daily specials, and I’m looking forward to trying the $ 4 gourmet burgers offered on Wednesdays! Without a doubt I’ll be back.

Food is not my favorite in town but if you’re looking for an excellent wine selection in the Belleville area… Here you go. Great setting and atmosphere. I’ve never had a complaint about their service. Not a wine drinker? Check out their craft beer menu.

The food and the service at The WIne Tap is constantly good. They have some really delicious martinis and wines. I have not had anything here that I did not like as far as food is concerned. They have even made me a brie lover when I have never liked it… ever! They have converted me, but I think I will stick with eating it only here. It can be a little loud, so I’d not choose it for a first date, but we really enjoy it for a girls’ night out!

The baked Brie is delicious, and the bacon wrapped jalapeño dates are a must try! Wood fire pizza oven for very authentic pizza

We met some friends at the Wine Tap last Saturday night, had some pizza and a couple glasses of wine. My first impression was this place is very cool for Belleville. It’s a nice date spot, for sure and it’s doing a good business. Our friends wanted to sit in the patio area, which has a retractable roof(how cool is that). Not much ambience there, though. Wrought iron pub tables and plain wooded walls that kind of looked like plywood. Anything, graffiti or whatever, would be an improvement to plain plywood. Sorry, it my inner interior designer. I’m watching too much HGTV. The front/bar area was well decorated and quite nice, though. If you’re an ambience snob like me, sit up front. Anyway, we ordered a Marguerite pizza and an Alsation pizza(smoked bacon, Vermont crème fraiche, & caramelized onions with grated parmesan). Oh, I forgot, they were«flatbreads» not«pizzas» just to be clear. If there is a difference, I don’t know it. These were wood-fired pizzas to my eye. They were both good, if not spectacular. The bacon was very sweet, which my wife didn’t like at all, and the Marguerite had IMO too much cheese. In December it might not be a bad idea to hide the tomatoes, though… The wine list is huge, they also have 80 beers. No complaints there. Our server made a couple of great wine suggestions, but disappeared for what seemed like an hour. We sat with empty glasses at least 20 minutes and the second round took forever to come out. We liked the Wine Tap and would go back. I wish it was closer to home, really. My neighborhood could use a place like this.

Went here for a group and it was nice we had the upstairs to ourselves mostly. The drink menu was overwhelming, but in a good way. I had the blackberry margarita and the moscato, they were both good! I ordered the vegetarian pizza which used hummus as the tomato sauce. I had never seen something like that but it was awesome! They were nice enough to comp us the birthday cakes too!

It had been awhile since I had been to the Wine Tap. They have decided to offer Wednesday night gourmet burgers, burgers are not usually on their menu. It was offered with a side of homemade potato salad. This was a chunky version and was made with red potatoes. It was delicious but the serving was kinda small. The burger was thick and juicy. I ordered the brick oven chicken, spinach, feta pizza. It was delicious. My friend was shocked and pleased with the craft beer menu. He is a big beer guy and he did not know where to start. I ordered the new version of Moscato. Very pleasant to the palate and complimented my pizza nicely. I think the Wine Tap is a little pricey but the food is good. We were able to sit outside and enjoyed a nice evening.

This was one of my favorite restaurants a year or so ago. I was told that it is under new ownership, and there have been a few changes to the menu. We tried one of the new flatbreads with lobster on it – awful. The lobster tasted like very poor quality. The martinis are good, but overpriced. I love the back covered patio, but the service out there is slow. Usually wait a good half hour for flatbreads. I’ll be searching for a new place to have date nights.

Second time here. The wife and I really enjoy it. Very nice atmosphere. Especially the patio area. Very extensive selection of beer and wines. I think this place is very underrated because both times that we’ve been here it’s never overly crowded.

We trekked about an hour to meet friends here and it was worth the drive. Sure, we could have gone somewhere closer but this place came highly recommended. I think you’ve got to get the baked brie if you find yourself there. Deliciousness! Good pastry/bread crust with a small wheel of brie inside. Add honey, nuts and dried fruit and it becomes amazing. The only suggestion I have to the owners is to possibly find a cracker offering which is as unique as the rest of the dish. They seemed a bit mismatched to me. Our server was from Wiesbaden, DE and did a fantastic job of taking care of our party without interrupting or intruding. She got a big tip and much appreciation from me. The courtyard was a great choice but I was a bit confused by their decision to make all but one table a high top. A mix would have been better as some prefer to be able to rest their feet on the ground instead of a chair rung. A minor point but we were there for several hours and it became more annoying to me as time went by,

Met some friends here to celebrate a birthday. We were the first to arrive — we were greeted warmly and the staff went out of their way to accommodate us in terms of where we wanted to sit. They have a really nice heated courtyard so we chose to sit out there. I am a cold person… one of these people who is cold if its less than 75 degrees. I was skeptical about sitting out there, but it really was warm enough for me to be comfortable. There are ample space heaters which they can(and will) move around to make sure everyone is comfortable. We were just meeting for drinks mostly, but we did order a couple of appetizers. Bacon wrapped dates and the baked brie. The baked brie was delicious — a round of cheese, raisins, cranberries, and honey wrapped in pastry dough and baked until golden brown. I’m getting hungry right now just thinking about it! The bacon wrapped dates were good but not great. These are things I usually order if they are offered and these paled in comparison to others I have tried(ahem…Modesto) They have a nice selection of wine but I am not a wine person so I couldn’t speak to it. They also have a wide range of beers and cocktails. I had a(okay, 2) dirty Tanqueray martinis and they were delicious — well made with just enough dirty for my taste. Another favorite in the group was the White Russian, which kind of tastes like bad-ass chocolate milk to me. Our waitress was amazing! She had great recommendations for us and knew when to turn up and when to leave us alone to enjoy ourselves. Overall great place but too far from my ‘hood for me to frequent.

Baked Brie and Malbec. My two loves. Ok… I’ll expand the review. This swanky little spot is one of my favorite spots in all of St. Louis(and I’ve lived all over St. Louis… the County, St. Charles, and the Metro East). If you want to make this girl happy you could take me here almost every date. There are many martinis and mixed drinks that are good, a great wine choice, food is superb. Wines by the Glass I recommend: Not the Trapiche. One word. Awful.(worst after taste ever) I love the Broquel Malbec and Solane Santi Valpolicella. Both are a fuller boddied wine and delicious! I’ve ordered two bottles here. Both were super oaky which I don’t tend to fall to, but they were very good. Food: Baked Brie as I mentioned above. The cranberries put it over the top. The pistachio flatbread: Pistachios, rosemary, parmesan and onions. I love onions. I know I’m the world’s worst date. The Pear Brushetta: I don’t even like pears. When my girlfriend ordered it I was thinking gross. I find myself ordering it over and over again. It has the same orange blossom honey as the brie with pears and also with gorgonzola cheese. Sharp and sweet flavoring. The service here is always great no matter how big your party is. The bathrooms are always super clean. Sit on the patio, enjoy the stars. If it starts to rain they will close the roof for you. Perfect!

I visit this restaurant at least 2 times per month and am always impressed. Their customer service is fantastic, wine selection vast and food absolutely delicious. I highly recommend their baked brie. My husband cannot seem to order anything else.
