Rut’s Moving & Delivery Service

These movers were assigned to us for a 4 day packout for a military move. The first 3 days were good but on the fourth day things got kind of crazy. The day started with 6 guys but 2 left after only a few hours. It was going kind of slow with the 4 guys packing our crates for Hawaii so they called for help. Later in the day 4 other guys arrived. A couple of them walked around and really seemed to be checking things out, going upstairs where they really didn’t need to go and looking through my garage sale stuff that was out in the garage.
I had a few people stop by and purchase some items I had listed on Craigslist. I threw the money from those sales into my purse, put it into the master bathroom, door closed with the master bedroom door closed. There was nothing left in the bedroom for them to take so I had no reason to think anyone would go in there, but they did. Someone went into my purse and took $ 115. I discovered the theft right after they left at 10pm so I immediately drove to their location to ask about it. One of the movers had to take me to another location where they store the crates which they were suppose to seal with signed stickers. When we arrived at the other location, everyone denied taking the money, of course. I asked to see that my crates were sealed since they said they would do it at the warehouse because the stickers might blow off the crates on the way there. My stickers were sitting on a table and the crates were already stacked 2 high. I asked that they take them all out and put the stickers on in front of me because I did not now feel comfortable with their service since one of them robbed me. Our stuff won’t arrive til August so I’ll repost after it arrives, hopefully all in one piece! I did file a police report and reported them to the base.

Please look at my attached pictures. This moving company is an absolute joke and nothing but a headache. We have massive damage to literally all of our furniture. They do not use any bubble wrap. They only use paper and tape! My expensive headboard went into the loading crate naked! No packaging at all! Our sectional is cracked in half due to improper loading. The list goes on and on. I will update this upon completion of our claim. We have thousands and thousands of dollars in damages! Save yourself the money and headache and find a company that cares!
