We visit here once a year when we visit family in the local area. Their donuts are to die for! We especially like the chocolate frosted French Crullers — they are delicious! My second favorite are the old fashioned sour cream donuts. The bread is fresh and tasty as well. It’s hard to find donuts close to home that compare to these!

We love G & Gs – go there regularly. I love the long johns and the sour cream donuts. Everything is fresh and they are always helpful and cheerful. Their prices are super reasonable. The first time we found them, they had *just* closed for the day. The owner was outside sweeping the sidewalk and invited us in when he learned that we wanted donuts. Then he just gave us donuts(didn’t have us pay) because they were considered day-old already. What a sweet gesture! He made a customer for life that day. Love small businesses…

Maybe because I was looking for Paczki’s. What I received was a jelly doughnut. I was very disappointed. Moreover, not the kind of jelly doughnuts I care for. I didn’t see anything that would make me return to this bakery. I drove to The Bake Shoppe on Savage Road and they saved the day.

On a quest for the ultimate fall treat, I found a pumpkin roll here. Enticed by its creamy cheese filled goodness and the pumkinny spicey cake, it was heaven at first bite. GGs also has great donuts, breads and muffins. Cash only and be sure to order holiday treats early!

The donuts are always fresh from that morning with the friendly owners there to dish them out to you. The prices are reasonable considering the time that goes into them. They have day old donuts for those on a budget and don’t forget the french loaf for dinner. I think this place has better donuts than dom’s in ypsi however, it does have some business drawbacks like not being open on sunday which seems like a bad idea for a bakery and the lack of signs. This place could use some more marketing for how good it is. I say, make some flyers and send them within a 2 mile radius and watch people pore in. Try the apple filled… it’s ridiculously good.

Discovered this place by accident. It is yummy! Everything is homemade everyday. locally owned. It is hard to find, I’m really hoping that it catches on, since I like it so much but don’t get to visit often.

This place is not well marked and it is a bit hard to find unless you know the area. It is not far off the intersection of Willis and Rawsonville Rd, in the little plaza with the Benito’s Pizza, across from the Red Rooster. They are a brand new and locally owned bakery. We stopped in after hearing about it from a neighbor, who really is in love with the donuts. The outside is not in the least impressive. Walking in, the smell is incredible in here though. You are greeted with friendly smiles and a long pastry case filled with goodies. We decided to get a half dozen, James chose yeast raised, filled donuts and I went with cake style. I think the cake were the better option but the yeast were nice. The chocolate covered peanut cake donut was my fave choice but the chocolate coconut was really good too. I wish they offered the coconut toasted as another option, I think it would add a dimension. I would also do mini cake donuts or donut holes for people like me who crave variety but can’t eat many actual donuts. James’ picks were good but not as great. I liked the cream filling a lot and the frosting of course was nice too but his frosting melted off his later in the day and mine stayed on the cake nicely. His lemon was also a bit too much for me but I am not generally a fan of lemon donuts, he liked it well enough. James also found pepperoni bread in here. He devoured it with some of our leftover marinara and said it was very happy. Everything was a bargain, we got six donuts and pepperoni bread for five bucks and felt good about it. We will be back to sample their fritters as I have been told I missed out and we will also try some fresh baked loaves of bread. They feature cakes, pies, cinnamon rolls and french curls too. Definitely worth a whirl.
