Overpriced. Not authentic. The staff is always distant and have been extremely rude in the past. Not worth it. Try any of the other pizzerias in the neighborhood.

Yeah, you guys won’t be getting my card anymore. Very upsetting when my card calls me and then your employee gets locked up for taking numbers. Idk I’m lost for word. Management should at the least send out a flyer advising customers of what happened.

Ordered form Plum tomato and an employee there STOLEMYCREDITCARDINFORMATION. She has a grand old time spednign my money but has since been caught. I understand that businesses cannot control the actions of all of their employees and in their favor the person was fired. However, when I called to notify the manager of the situation he was rude, offered no apology and basically left me with the impression that he could be bothered with the incredible inconvenience this caused me. Ciros Pizza is better by a mile anyway. Do not frequent this establishment!!!

all the people in there are very distance they want your money and don’t talk to you. 1 of the owners(short looks like an elf) is a real cheap guy to his workers and only feeds them bread that people would get if you sat down. the bread they serve you when you sit down its never fresh they get it from a cabinet and sits there all day and probably into tomorrow. now to the food. the food isn’t to bad it just sucks the everything comes out to a really weird amount like 9.57 or 11.12 or like 4.17 like what kind of prices are those is it so hard to charge people an even amount like 9.50, 11.004.25 its just sucks you have to walk around with a bunch of change cause they wanna have weird prices also when i went in there i was 10 cents short the guy behind the counter didn’t wanna give me my food i was like are you kidding me i walked out and got pizza from ciros pizza(great place great service clumsy, lazy cheap, distant. also when i went in there the phone people talk nasty to the callers say there loud want weird things added most the time they on there phone and don’t want to answer

Horrible. That’s honestly all I can say. The place hasn’t changed since I’m a kid. I walked in here after 8 years of not coming. I decided to give it a chance and I quickly regretted it. I got a salad with chicken in it that was barely edible. It’s sad because they have been there for so long, but the food is honestly not worth giving it a try.

Lived two blocks away my whole life. I wouldn’t go here if I was starving. Ziti always looks over cooked or like it’s been sitting for an hour. Pizza is the worst. Go to Ciro’s on 116th who even on their worst days not only treat you better but have a GREAT slice. Great food otherwise and a casual not trying-too-hard-to-impress environment like plum tomatoes. The owners other company next door has great deli selections and friendly staff at least! Been going there for 20ish years. But plum will never get better because the staff gets worse and food never improves. Good luck risking ecoli BTW, I know for a fact many employees don’t wash their hands!

This is the best pizza delivery to Breezy Point. I’ve seen the drivers making heroic attempts at speedy delivery in the midst of beach traffic during the summer. Some might be annoyed by the drivers disregarding bike lanes, yellow lines, left turn lanes, traffic signals and the Geneva Convention with the Plum Tomato sign conspicuously on top of their vehicles but I like to see people take their job seriously. The plain cheese pizza is solid. I tried the Margherita specialty pie, which was a mistake — there was an overpowering garlic flavor. Plain pizza is my favorite anyway. I’ve eaten in the dining room, the interior is clean and modern but I find the service to be consistently average. I ordered the baked ziti because it was dead slow and a slice didn’t seem appetizing as the pies might have been sitting. It was fine. This place could be really great if quality was more consistent and service standards were raised.

Their potions keep getting smaller while prices are going up. The food is not bad at all though.

Plum Tomatoes … Is the place to go to for good Italian food & fresh awesome pizza. Its located on a trendy area of Rockaway where you can also find other cute places. For an average price of 10 – 30 $ per person you can have a very good meal. The atmosphere is family welcoming great for a weekend gathering or just to stop by for a slice

Great old school red sauce. Good value. Pleasant environment. Our party had a trio of parmigianos: one chicken, one eggplant, one veal. Came with pasta bread and salad. Left well satiated.

Great salad slice and garlic knots. Great service. Cheap unless ordering more«complex» dishes in dining area, but still reasonable. Overall my favorite pizzeria/restaurant.

Plum Tomatoes has seen its better days. You are better off taking a trip over the bridge to Brooklyn or down to Ciro’s. An Irishmen could make better sauce. All restaurants should have an A rating for cleanliness, Plum had a B for a very long time and could possibly still have it. If you want a real community feel go across the street to Pico or Jameson’s. Survey a 100 people from Rockaway and ask them their favorite Pizzeria in town, I guarantee 90% say another pizzeria. No one would ever be cut dead sitting on the left side of the restaurant either. Bring back PaPas pizza! Plum Tomatoes needs to sell and cut their losses! Save your money and eat a can of tuna instead.

complete waste of time and money!!! i am so angry and outraged. i place an order at 11:30 am for a 3:15pm delivery for a non profit organization that is running a free camp for kids in rockaway. i ordered 3 pizzas not 15 and first on menu a large pie says it is $ 13.50 they charged me $ 14.75 and a square pie $ 15.50 they charged me $ 16.75 camp is over at 4:00 pm and it is so sad these kids went home without pizza because someone just could not get it right. the pizza was delivered at 4:02pm i mean really??? this is so unjust and i called so upset and not sure if the phone got disconnected or the guy hung up on me i mean how unprofessional this is really sad not just for the waste of money and the super cold pizza but for the kids! never again will i come here nor recommend them i should have went to elegante. i will definitely report them to the consumer affairs bureau and to the bbb. someone needs to make this up to the kids! wow! not even an apology!

Neighborhood spot with good pizza. I know us Brooklyn folk are partial to our own, but this place did a good job. Real clean spot, too. Only issue around here is parking, but who cares?!

Hey Sal, just take a walk in the neighborhood and take a look at all the pizza boxes from Brooklyn and Howard Beach. I don’t think I’m alone in my opinion of your pizza.

All restaurant have their issues; for PT their issues are located in 1) Delivery Time(sometimes it takes longer than it should, especially on the weekends and during Lent) and 2) Inconsistency in the Sauce(sometimes it is weaker and watery for pastas for my taste or it is too heavy infused with garlic). And depending on how busy the pizzeria is, the service at the counter. Their specialities pizzas are far better than most specialities that I have had. As are their salads(off the sit down restaurant menu) and their garlic knots. If you’re in the area and want some good pizza than definitely order from them. Especially their chicken parm heroes! Also for those complaining about it being kid friendly; the store is right down the block from an elementary school. It is one of the few places that they go to have Lunch on a half day(a time honored tradition to be «old» enough have Lunch at Plum with your friends) … and even during the summer.

What’s with all the hate? Sure, Plum Tomatoes may not be the best slice in all of New York(I’m looking at you L&B), but they make a damn good piece of pizza. I’ve been happily ordering their grandma slice since the days when I though the coolest thing to do was to stand outside Plum Tomatoes, hangin’ with all the other street rat kids. I may have grown older & found cooler places to hang out, but the quality of their pizza hasn’t changed. Besides my go-to grandma, their marinara slice, salad slice, and even their regular ol’ round pie won’t disappoint. I’m a vegetarian, and I hate buffalo flavored things… but my boyfriend literally drags me here for their buffalo chicken pizza on a regular basis. Plum is a Rockaway staple, and when I’m back in the hood, I’m always down to stop by for a specialty slice.

Cute Italian/pizzeria on the main strip. It’s pretty casual and you get a salad and pasta with the dinner special(around $ 15 for a shrimp parmigiana). Good deal and $ 5.50 for a glass of wine(it tastes like its $ 5.50, but still, it’s $ 5.50, who’s complaining??) No fanfare but all the basics here, quick and friendly service. Perfect for a hearty meal, even if you’re on the go. You could totally get away with wearing flip flops here. On a Saturday night it seemed like a bit of a teen(pre-teen) hangout, but hey you needed somewhere to eat when you were 15 too.
