Went there with my family of seven and were seated right away. This place had come recommended to us. All of the food was hot and delicious! The sizes were very large! You will not feel ripped off or like the serving size is too small! This definitely beats a place like Bob Evans(which I like!). It’s about a 30 minute drive for us, so I don’t know when we will be back, but if I’m ever in the area I’m sure we will… also you can’t beat the prices.

To begin with I want to say this is a nice place, friendly staff, and pretty good food. I actually enjoyed my visit here and would recommend it to my friends. So why three stars, you may be wondering… The reason is simple and singular, the«plate-sized» pancake, though very good, is way to big and I felt bad wasting 75% of it. They do have a smaller size, but only if you order some other main dish and it is also a fairly hefty, half the gigantic«plate-sized» one. I can’t eat that much! Perhaps, just allow us the size we want(can eat, no wasting) or get some smaller plates. In full disclosure, I’ll probably be back some time and order something smaller.

I arrived at noon on Saturday, it seemed as if the rush was over. I was sat immediately. I thought of ordering something simple. Western Omelet and a side of bacon. It came out in about 15 minutes. The omelet had a piece of American Cheese on it not melted covering up BURNEDEGGS folded with green peppers and ham. I didn’t complain, but it was my first time visiting this place. My wife comes here all the time. she ordered the quiche. It looked good. I’m going to give it one more try next week. But I wasn’t impressed.

I live in Sugarcreek Township and like to give business to as many local independents as possible. I keep trying to love this place but I cannot even garner a «like.» Today will be my last time dining at this establishment. Service has never been good here. Food is pretty mediocre too. I wanted so badly to really enjoy my breakfast with my husband today but there were several issues. Let’s start with the coffee… I managed about 3 sips and I was done. Even dousing it with an abundance of cream did not help the bitter taste that is typical of coffee that has been sitting in the pot heating too long. The waitress was not attentive either. She did not check on us during the meal at all. I ordered two eggs over medium with wheat toast and sausage(which equates to their platter«S» for $ 4.39). She asked me if I wanted links or patties so I told her patties(the menu specified«links» for this platter but I assumed when she gave me a choice that it was either). When the food arrived, I got one very small sausage patty. When I asked about it, she said that the platter only came with one sausage patty. REALLY? Then why are sausage patties(as in more than one) listed in plural form everywhere on the menu? She did not seem too concerned at all and I was not up for a debate this morning so I just let it go. When we got ready to leave, I did ask how one would go about ordering to make sure they got more than one patty. She told me «alacarte.» This makes no sense at all and she was clearly irritated. Nope… I don’t need to come back here. Too many good places for breakfast in the area.

Went here for the first time on a Sunday morning a few weeks ago. Great diner, a bit small and loud. Given the food was so good, it’s a popular place so makes for a noisy breakfast. Muffins were ok, food was great. Didn’t care for the«muffin man» announcing himself every hour and touring with muffins. That was a bit obnoxious given the noise level was already high. Would go back again.

Arrived at 8:30, the café was packed, the wait was 25 minutes tops so it wasn’t bad. The hostess was accurate on the wait time. When seated, the server was very nice and quickly brought the coffee. Came back several times to refill, never was left with an empty cup. Ordered the W, Belgian waffle, bacon, scrambled eggs & hash browns. My date had a spicy omelet and toast. The food tasted amazing. Bacon was cooked to perfection! Nice and crunchy. Noticed that around 10, the crowd thinned out and there wasn’t a wait. Will definitely return again.

I took my very picky family here for breakfast. Honestly I was nervous. They really only like chain restaurants(yuck, I know). Well to say the least we had an amazing experience. Everything was delicious. Even though it’s kinda a drive my grandmother can’t wait to go back. My little sister spilled her water and they we very quick and nice to clean it up. We ordered a muffin from the muffin man to go and they forgot it the muffin man ended up giving it to us for free. We had a Bloody Mary and mimosa which were both excellent. To be honest the portions are so big everyone can order one of something and have their own breakfast buffet. It was a awesome experience and I’m very happy I didn’t disappoint my family.

Great food extremely large portions. Service was super and above all super prices. I had the French Toast and loaded home fries. I actually had to get a take home box. Then I ordered muffins for Sunday morning breakfast they were huge. Enough for two people

Extremely good food I got the blueberry cheesecake French toast and I was more than impressed with it. They also have very good chocolate milk. I will be returning whenever I am in town and my grandmother enjoyed her food as well and had an omelet and hash browns with rye bread. Over all all of the food here is good and I highly recommend trying it.

Such a great menu and the food is delicious. Long waits on the weekends but it’s worth it :) Wait staff is iffy. Most recent visit I had a super waitress, but several visits prior the waiter was just bad

I wish I could give 3.5 stars. I would probably give a 4 – 5 star rating if not for the fact that we were skipped on the wait list. I called ahead on my way there and when I arrived 20 min later was quoted a time of about 15 min or less. After 25 min I went in to check and they had crossed off our name at the top and were way down the list. The host staff did get us a table pretty much right away but one(an older) lady seemed to be a bit grumpy about it. Oh well accidents happen. On to the food. I like the fact that they have a simple menu. Large menus are frustrating to try to read and hard to execute in the kitchen. We were greeted immediately. I wouldn’t say our server was friendly, but she certainly wasn’t rude and was very prompt and efficient. I ordered eggs over easy, hash browns, and smoked sausage. The portions were large but I was able to finish everything without hating my life. Everything was cooked perfectly. I really liked the flavor the smoked sausage added. I did order a side of fruit that never arrived. I wasn’t upset about it though because I wasn’t charged and I wouldn’t have had room anyways. Overall it was a good experience and I will return to try some other items that caught my eye(yeah French toast!!!) If not for the frustrating wait experience this would have been a near perfect visit.

I always look forward to visiting the Blueberry Café, it is defiantly an experience! If you arrive during a busy time it is not unusual to wait, but it has always been worth it!(And I don’t say that of many restaurants). The food is delicious and the service staff has always been warm and friendly to us. My favorite breakfast place in the Dayton area, hands down!

My first visit to Blueberry Café in Bellbrook a few weeks ago while in town visiting my parents and went for brunch on Sunday after church. The place was packed and friends of theirs thankfully put their name in for reservations, which we still waited about 20 minutes for table. Eclectic café right off 725 in Bellbrook just past the Dot’s Market with a flurry of activity, people enjoying huge plates of pancakes, omelets and muffins. People we were waiting with told us about the muffin man and his huge muffins, but after we were seated we were told the muffin man ran out of ingredients, so he only had four muffins left. I selected an omelet with a variety veggies and cheese, as that is my go to breakfast treat, but when it arrived, it was okay, I enjoy the cheese to be inside the omelet not on top with the ingredients. I love local business breakfast spots and if you like pancakes, french toast and muffins this place is for you, but if you like eggs, they could be done a lot better as you find at the Golden Nugget

By far my favorite breakfast! Huge portions for a great price. Customer service was fantastic. My coffee was always full. Great food… awesome bacon. I went on a weekday at it was busy. But definitely worth the wait. Amazing.

Great food. They serve high quality breakfast food and they give you lots of it. The prices are very reasonable for what you get. It is usually busy so call ahead and get put on the wait list.

I’d really like to give this place a 3.5 rating, but Unilocal won’t allow me to give half stars. I thought the quality of the food was great, fantastic and I was completely satisfied. I had the spinach quiche and loved everything about it. Only downfall was the atmosphere and I think they’re understaffed, causing long waits to place orders, get food etc. The waitress we had was good and she apologized for making us wait. It’s pretty cramped in there and extremely noisy. It was impossible to have a decent conversation there and we kept having to move our chairs in to let the wait staff get through. Just an aside, I’m wondering if the owners are from Michigan or are U of M alumni. The color scheme sure leads me to believe so.

I haven’t been here in quite a while but this mornings experience was nothing like I remember. It’s a nice little spot in a small town. They probably have about 20 tables. Historically there is a wait to get in. I thought I got lucky this morning because I didn’t have to wait at all. I don’t feel lucky. It was a fairly poor experience this morning. I ordered eggs over medium but what came out had the yokes cooked right out of them. They looked hard boiled. I ordered a side of bacon and never got it. I pointed that out to the server so she could take it off my bill but my bill was still wrong when I got it. Coffee refills were pretty slow. The food itself once they cooked new eggs was really good. They load up the plate with almost more food than anyone should eat. It’s not likely you will walk away hungry. Probably just a little frustrated from the service. It could be an off morning or this may be the new norm. I would say try it and see for yourself.

My friend Karen wants me to meet The Muffin Man. Who’s this you ask? Well, apparently this fellow is a fixture on the local restaurant scene in Bellbrook, Ohio. Karen absolutely raved about how nice his muffins are. She was hoping he would be there as she hadn’t had one for a while. Pumpkin, Blueberry, Cheesecake, you name it, he has them. He brings them around on a tray and you select the ones you want. Unfortunately, he wasn’t there this time, maybe the next time. After several minutes Karen calms down about The Muffin Man and we ordered breakfast. We each got omelets with hash browns, toast and coffee. It all came out hot, tasty and enormous. These portions are big enough for two people, maybe three. I can put away some food folks, but this time? I got half way through and cried uncle. By the way, I saw this guy get a serving platter sized helping of pancakes and when I say platter, I’m talking an 18″ x 12″ platter, like you’d see on Thanksgiving Day. How he ate them all? OMG. I’m sure we’ll be back again. Hopefully we’ll be able to check out the Muffin Man on a future visit. His muffins sound wonderful.

A taste of home. We visited on a weekend morning around 8am. Busy! Our paety of 2 was seated at the farm table(holds 10) with another group of 5. It was a little awkward at first, but the homestyle atmosphere soon calmed our experience. Coffee is nothing special, but food was outstanding. We tried pancakes, sausage gravy, biscuits, hash browns, and eggs. All were wonderful. Im a big eater, and we still took home over half of our meals. Two of us ate for under 20 bucks, What a value! Overall, strongly recomended for a quaint breakfast spot in historic Waynesville.

Blueberry Café is one of those places you don’t easily find while driving down the road. So one of the only reasons you’d really visit the place is because it came highly recommended. All in all, it was delicious. The Blueberry Café is pretty small with about 15 tables, so it comes with a wait. We waited about 30 min, but there are a lot of Vera Bradley products to look at while you wait –mostly products for women. After we ordered our food, it didn’t take long for it to come out. It looked as good as it tasted. I removed a star because our server only checked up on us once at the end, right before he gave us our check. Normally I wouldn’t have an issue with that, but they forgot to load up my hash browns and I was too hungry to wait to show the server. I still had to pay for it, but it wasn’t a big deal being that it was only a buck or two extra. Otherwise, it’s a GREAT place for breakfast and will recommend it to anyone.
