We walked in and were greeted warmly. No wait on a Sunday morning for brunch was unexpected! The tea and coffee were good, not great. Service was quick and friendly. The food was great! We had the slam and the hot melt. Neither disappoints and at the price point it was a ton of food. We will definitely be back.

We love this place! The food is very fresh and the entrees are just amazing! The menu has such a wide variety that I do my best to try something new each time I go in… and I haven’t been disappointed yet! Breakfast is fabulous… large portions and a lot of times you need a doggy bag. The Eggs Benedict were AWESOME! A favorite place of ours for sure =)

Standard american breakfast fair. My server was good and efficent. No brown on the eggs which is always nice. Pricing was great being as I’ve paid the same amount other places around town and had an awful time. Other than gross coffee I left happy.

I decided to give this place a try because it’s close and I love to support local. I placed a delivery order and was quoted 30 minutes in which took an hour. By the time I received my order the garlic cheese bread I ordered was freezing cold and super chewy. I added cheese to my side salad for $.75 and there was barely any. Baked ravioli was good but luke warm. I work in the service industry and never do these types of reviews but I don’t think I will be ordering delivery from them again. I might go in and try a sit down experience.

Restaurant was clean, and the staff were very friendly but the food was just not that good. Got the Kettering special and everything but the eggs and French toast was burnt. Nice place maybe an off day in the kitchen. I’d give it another try

Terrible customer service from the staff. Granted, we had 7 kids in our party, but there was no sense of urgency by anyone working. Half of the restaurant was served before our party and we ordered at the same time. Our waitress kept sighing every time she had to bring something to our table. Then she had the audacity to tell me that she«took the coffee charge off for our inconvenience». A coffee? Off of a $ 75 bill? Gee, thanks. Way to go out of your way. Needless to say, when the food did come out, it was good. But we won’t be back. Too many sighs and too many eyeballs from staff and customers who must have never had children.

The resteraunt itself is clean and the food was plenty full in size but the alfredo sauce dishes lacked any flavor at all. Even the waitress admitted their food was bland. Nothing was offered in its place and I was still charged for this large bowl of tasteless food. The waitress offered to put it in a box so I could add garlic at home. If i wanted to fix food at home I wouldn’t be here tonight. First time = last time here.

Here’s why the low rating. I’ll give it a 2 stars for the food. The menu seems like good variety that will hit the range that we needed at work and a plus that they deliver. We used to order 1 – 2 times per week but ran into problems with last weeks delivery. The driver stated to my co worker when she was signing the credit card slip that he had other deliveries. She apologized, she just found out he was there and he repeated it. She called back to the store a few hours later to speak to the manager and turns out it was the delivery guy. No apologies, no sorry, it was«I don’t see anything wrong with that» Well, poor customer service means you lose 30 – 60 per week from us. I see many other low ratings but where there is smoke, there’s fire. If this is management, no thanks. I would be worried with tampered food now so we will go elsewhere.

Wife and I had breakfast on Labor Day and it was great. wife had veg. Omelet fried potatoes and I had biscuits and gravy, potatoes and scramble eggs large portions and good coffee. The landscape on the outside could use a little work but who cares? The food is great on the inside we will go back.

This was a terrible experience. We made a reservation/online call ahead. Once we walked in they were getting our table ready. Once the owner realized we were mostly kids it went down hill. Mind you, older well behaved, adult portion eating kids. We sat and it took 8 minutes to be acknowledged. The waitress was pretty good once we got one. We ordered and then it took about 45 to an hour to get our food. Once our food came the owner put it in a tray stand and walked away. After a couple minutes, we took the food off the tray ourselves. The people behind us even commented on this. The food was good. My husband and son enjoyed the omelettes. We did get a batch of bad bacon. I like to support new business and always try to give second chances, but the way this all happened was terrible.

All seven people in my party had delicious food and would recommend what they got to others. The prices are really great for what you get and there are tons of menu items to choose from. The only reason for not giving a five star is due to the fact that my order came out ten minutes after everyone elses, because they said they made it wrong the first time and then when I finally got it, it came out wrong again. It still tasted pretty delicious though. And we all say that we’d be back again!

My 1st time here in its current form. Service was kinda dicey… really nice waitresses trying hard, but a slow kitchen. I’m willing to forgive this from a new place. I had the bean soup which appeared and tasted homemade. I also tried their fried burger… a burger patty battered and deep fried. It was tasty and cooked exactly how I ordered it. They use a nice quality Angus beef. I’m anxious to try other burgers. Sadly the fries were frozen. I would have expected house made since so much of the food here seems to be. I’ll be back here.

Went with my wife for a quick lunch on a Wednesday. There seemed an inordinate number of elderly white women eating there – not a problem, just an observation. The service was very good and the food was fresh and tasty. Also, the prices are very reasonable. Nothing at all to complain about, really. Certainly was a better than average lunch. Overall, I’d be willing to go back if I’m in the neighborhood.

I’ve gotten take out from Kettering Grill & Café and dined in. Out of character for most places, the take out was better than dining in. When we dined in, the service was… odd. Our waitress appeared to be strung out out of her mind. She brought my husband a chicken salad sans chicken and then patted his shoulder and told him to make a sandwich(?) after she remember to bring out the grilled chicken. Funny? Yes. Optimal dining experience? Proooobably not. Service aside, the food was comfort food style. Simple fare like my mom would make. Not particularly good, but not particularly bad. The food was more of a 3 star experience(once the chicken was delivered), but the service was so strange!

the TL: DR– Would i go back? Maybe– the food got my attention enough to ponder if this is new restaurant woes and will eventually be ironed out. My family and I went here to try it out. I love supporting local restaurants, and i have a feeling that as long as they can learn to filter their menu and timing, things WILL improve. I say this because half our meal was good and half our meal was ho hum, and our service was sub par. Onto the experience– My sister came a week prior to this visit with her boyfriend and thier 6 month old daughter. It was a friday and it was moderately busy but the«seat yourself» sign was up, and they did. They sat there for 20 minutes before finally giving up and leaving(there’s only so much entertainment for a 6month old in a car seat right?) She asked if we could go back to try again. We chose Sunday afternoon around 3pm. I sat down and was promptly handed a menu. The menu is HUGE. I dont even think they have everything listed on their website. Whats worse is. ITALLSOUNDSAWESOME. however. I cant imagine this works well for Prep cooks. My dad was thrilled to see Liver and Onions on the menu. but seriously. how often is that ordered? Even he, a self proclaimed liver lover, didnt order it. We opted to go with the Valentines day special(Dad got a sirloin steak medium well) and i got Pasta trio, and my sister had a club sandwich. We also ordered a crab dip while waiting. Our server(who was VERYNICEANDFRIENDLY) was a bit slow, but he seemed to have a lot of tables and we were in no hurry. He came to inform us that we couldnt get wine that came with the special because it was sunday. This is where it all slowly started going down hill. Emphasis on slow. we eventually asked about our appetizer, and were informed that he forgot to put the order in for it… we said ok. that’s fine, just forget it as our food should be out soon anyways. He apologized and paid for our drinks. our Food came out eventually. It was mildly acceptably long but much longer and i probably would have had words with someone. My Pasta Trio with sausage was pretty dang tasty. I would have ordered it again. It was a lot of food, good ricotta fillings, and sauce was a little spicy and not overly sweet. Their bread stick with it was pretty darn good but i wish it had been bigger(it was maybe 4″ long and one piece?) Sisters club she had no complaints about that i heard, and the fries were pretty average looking fries. My dads steak though, was overdone and chewy. Solid brown throughout. After we were done with our meal we had to ask about the dessert that comes with the Valentines day meal, and got it to go, and i sat around while my family left as I1 waited for the check to be picked up, this took too long again in my opinon. So the TL: DR– Would i go back? Maybe– the food got my attention enough to ponder if this is new restaurant woes and will eventually be ironed out.

My husband and I love this place. We try to come here once a month if not more. The people knew us after the second time walking in. They are super friendly and I’ve never had a bad thing on the menu!

After their first visit, my parents had high praise for the Kettering Grill and Café. I was invited along for this visit and was quite pleased. It’s a small, cozy place with plenty of parking. The staff was warm and friendly, particularly the host(owner?). The prices are comparable to other local restaurants but left me with a better impression than I’ve had in some time. The menu ranges from meatloaf to seafood to Italian dishes, Mexican food, wraps, burgers and pizzas. No need to wait to be seated, just grab an empty table when you come in. They offer carry out and even delivery. I ordered the smothered chicken which is a large grilled, boneless chicken breast topped with cheese and sautéed mushrooms and onions. It was fantastic, the best restaurant meal I’ve had in a while. My dad chose a ham dinner which he thoroughly enjoyed and was also a nice portion. My mom’s baked chicken penne was still bubbling hot when it arrived. It was such a large portion that I was able to sample some of it and was quite pleased. The baked chicken was tender enough to cut with a fork. All in all this was such an excellent experience that I felt compelled to write a review. This is a new restaurant that I think everyone should try and is a great addition to the Kettering community. I look forward to my next visit and have downloaded the menu for future reference.
