Taqueria El Guero

Where do I start…
I posted on FB I was looking for a good taqueria for my husbands grandmothers 80^th bday boogie and so many ppl commented to try Taqueria El Guero, so before asking their price we went on a Friday night to try the food it was delicious! I am not a fan of tacos de pollo but theirs are the best I have EVER tried! =D
So we met with the daughter of the owner to set up their services she was fantastic and so reassuring about the entire order we were placing! they gave us the choice of 4 meats to be served we choose pollo, asada, birria and pollo! (which everyong loved at the party) rice & beans all the trimmings for a 100 pll for an amazing price! they had two very pleasant people there the day off serving my guest! after the time limit was up they offered to let us keep everything if we had our own propane tank to hook it up to which my amazing father in law did so we kept it over night! all the tia’s drunk were making quesadas and all! very appreciative of their services! they came the next morning at 10 to pick it all up!
Since the party (btw was in February) my family and I who travel from Whittier come and visit at least once a month! its taken the place of my king taco days!
ps the dvd man they’ve mentioned in previous reviews has very good quality movies for only $ 3 my hunny brought back Frozen for us last weekend!

Burritos are ginormous! I always request the works and El Guero always fulfills!

I go to this place like once a week with my white girl and she loves their tacos de lengua. Yeah that’s right she loves tongue. I like this place cuz they got a variety of meat from your carne asada to chicharrones and birria. I mean they got like ten different meats. El Guero lifted this joint from the grave. I thought this place was cursed cuz no business took off. Sure the place is not like a chipotle but their food is taqueria style. I even tell the taquero to make my tortillas doraditas .now that’s custom service. By the way the local cops started coming to this place so you know it’s good!!! I hope thus place sticks around.
P. s. They let this one guy sell dvds and they’re badass in quality get your taco and movie on

I would not recommend this place to anyone. Besides the horrible service like mentioned in my last review. My job had rented the taco stand, the owner gets the huge jar and uses the custodians water hose to fill them up and make Horchata and jagua de piña. This time he left someone else in charge and the guy had better customer service than the owner but we still didn’t drink the waters and that was the last time we made business with him.

This place is more covered taco stand than sit down restaurant but the food is pretty awesome.
The Carne Asada was beefy and flavorful. The Al Pastor was complex, slightly sweet and perfectly crispy. And the melon aguas frescas was delicious. All that for less than $ 5? I’m in.
And if you happen to show up on a rainy Saturday night you may be able watch a few customers committedly working on a most serious buzz. Mucho Borracho Entertainment!
