Good neighborhood bar. The cheese crabcake dip is dangerously delish. Creamy and warm and gooey and soooo tasty, paired with an orange crush and friendly bar tenders.

I want to give a thumbs up to their Sunday Brunch. Their 4 egg omelets are incredible. They come with a hash brown casserole that you won’t want to stop eating. You won’t regret this experience!!!

Great place for basic bar food and sandwiches. You’re not going to find anything adventurous here but they do execute what offer very well especially the fries. Their beer selection is decent but they don’t really have much in the way of craft beers. They have plenty of TVs to watch everything imaginable and usually plenty of seating as the place is quite large. Overall it’s a very well executed sports bar and you won’t find anything new here but what they have is very good.

I’m not normally one to post reviews, but Looney’s did such a great job working with my husband to throw me a surprise party last weekend, that I must share what a great experience we had. I really didn’t want a party(we have a little trip coming up), but that’s not how hubby rolls. And with Looney’s help, he pulled off a wonderful night. For starters, my friends were allowed to come early and hang up decorations. We had a great time slot(happy hour-ish) so it wasn’t crowded at that point and we were able to mingle easily. Our reserved tables were in the perfect position for us to stay on and have a great view of one of our favorite bands. The food was delish(whoever decided egg roll wrappers aren’t just for egg rolls anymore is a genius!) I don’t eat much bar food these days(fighting old age after all!) so I chowed mostly on the yummy buffalo tenders and the super fresh salad/veggies/guac. Our always-smiling waitress was extremely attentive and did a fantastic job of taking care of our large group. It did get a little crowded maybe due to the popularity of the band and perhaps a touch of cabin fever after the recent snowmageddon, but that didn’t stop me from enjoying my night! That just meant I got to be up close and personal with my favorite people and everything else was icing on the cake, no pun intended! I would like to pass along a couple minor things that might need to be addressed for future party planners. Perhaps there could be a provision for guests who bring gifts of alcohol. Nice wine and fancy liquor are common gifts, and although I understand the reason for not allowing it to be brought in, perhaps there is a better way to handle this situation. Several friends told me they’d have to drop off my gift another time.(It’s now Super Bowl Sunday and I’m still waiting, hahaha, JK!) More importantly, it sounded like this may not have been communicated to them in the nicest way. I know bouncers have a lot to deal with, but trouble from a middle aged party guest at 7pm does not seem likely, lol. Also, the route(s) for the Looney’s van should be posted on the website. If someone is counting on this service, it’s not something you want to discover when you are ready to go. Anyway, GREAT job, Looney’s(and hubby!) I had the PERFECT night!

I really love Looney’s. It’s one of my favorite spots to go to in town. Really affordable prices and haven’t had a bad meal yet. Really love the jerk tuna bites(I order them rare and they actually come out rare!) and the Ruben. One of my favorites things to do is to go there with a couple friends, order a bunch of shareable plates and have a good time over great food and a drink!

This was my second trip here in 2 months. The first time me and my daughter sat in the booths next to the bar area. We literally sat for 15 minutes and no one came to our table so we left. Went back at my daughters urging today. I ordered 2 polock johnnys dogs with the works. My daughter ordered a bacon cheeseburger medium. My other daughter and her friend ordered mac n cheese. The food took about 25 minutes to come out. I thought it was a little long since there were only 4 other tables in use in the dining area. When the food arrived the polock johnnys were cold and must have sat a while before being delivered to the table. My daughters medium burger was burnt and no where near medium. The $ 10.49 burger was pathetic. Not only was it burnt but pathetic in size. It was literally like a frozen patty, not what Looneys put out years ago. I asked to have the sausages taken off the bill, which they did. My daughter ate half her burnt burger. The waitress was attentive and polite. To Looneys credit my other daughter and her friend said the mac n cheese was good. Not too hard to mess that up though. Looneys service and food quality has been sliding down hill. Not only do I notice it, but several friends have made similar comments. Doubt I will be going back anytime soon.

Have had many great times at Looney’s! They have some great bands and I indulge in the Keno typically when I am there. The food has consistently been delicious and cooked nicely. They have specials each night for different foods, I have gone on Burger Night several times and enjoyed a yummy burger at a discounted price! Large bar, high tops, booths and tables. Some time there is a cover charge, but if you come early enough you can get in before the cover starts on a band night. Thanks Looney’s North!

Mediocrity has a new name and it’s looneys. Pretty sure chicken was boiled(had that tough, rubbery texture w minimal flavor). Just glad the crab fries were heavy w dip as it was the only thing I found appealing. Oh. And if it’s 95 degrees outside, turn the AC on… maybe I’d stay and have a beer, but as it is I can’t wait to get to my car to turn the ac up.

Food is meh, drinks are meh, service is meh. Meh, meh, meh. I’ve been here a handful of times, it’s not like I go here expecting a five star meal/experience. It’s a good place to go grab some wings and a beer and watch the game. Side note: I was carded at the door at 6pm on a Wednesday which is pretty dumb.

Sandwich of the be New York Reuben was recommended by the bartender. Sandwich was okay, lots of meat but could have more sauerkraut for me. Husband had the jerk chicken tenders. Just okay, over seasoned in our opinion as there was a strong herb aroma coming off his plate.

I’ve eaten here a couple times & so far their food is very good. I’ve had«The Bomb» sandwich both times & both times it was amazing; tender steak, baked crab imperial… very yummy! I would recommend it every time. The portion is large as well, so the price may seem extravagant but when you see the sandwich you’ll be quite pleased. There crabby fries are to die for as well. Lots of fries, crab dip & cheese… you can’t beat it!

We had a reservation for a party of 17 which later became 19. My main gripe is that we had one server and wobbly tables. She did a good job handling our party but we deserved 2 waitresses. She ran the food too which came out sporadically. I had the Reuben which was pretty good but nothing«special» for an Irish place. I didn’t even order drinks from the waitress because it was easier for me to walk over to the bar. I would not recommend this place for a large group. Overall everyone enjoyed their food. Now… Onto the bar. There were plenty of bartenders behind both sides of the bar but they did not seem to each have a section. This is annoying when you’re at one end of the bar and the bartenders are everywhere but where they should be… Serving me a drink. At 35 im too old for this place on the weekends. It gets packed and not my «scene» any longer.

This place is absolutely horrible if you are looking for a spot to go out at night — HOWEVER, their food is amazing! They have amazing seafood! I can’t say enough good things about their crab dip, crab pretzel, crab melt, and crab nachos(clearly I’m big on crabs). My favorite menu item so far has been the crabby patty(burger with what else? crab dip on top) and add a fried egg! Sloppy — yes, but delicious? Absolutely. Prices are good too! They also have great drinks, a decent selection of beers, and all day happy hour on Mondays! Highly recommend for food and drinks but not for nightlife

The Nachos were good. The Old Bay honey wings were awesome. My buddies burger looked out of this world. I got the Crab covered chicken. Yeah. I was not a fan. I am not a local to the north east but thought I would give chicken and crab a try. Being from the south, these two absolutely do not go together. Beef and crab sure. Service was great.

First off, it’s pub food. They don’t claim to be gourmet neither do the prices. I used to live within walking distance to Looneys and have been there often. Some dishes are tasty and well prepared. My favs are shrimp salad sammie which is a huge portion and can easily be lunch for the next day, fried rockfish tacos and cream of crab soup. Other things I have tried have been too inconsistent to recommend. A few years ago they extended the bar area, great for love local-ish bands. However I feel like the food quality has gone down as the focus in on the bar. Service has always been 50⁄50 depending on the server. We have ordered carryout several times and have always been pleased. Basically if you want pub food this is a good place. If you want a meal that you’ll talk about(positively) later then skip it.

I went back with friends for an early dinner one day, and had an equally bad experience than my last visit. Like the previous visit, the wait time and service was subpar. It was 5PM and there were two ‘reserved’ signs on bar booths. After waiting about 10 minutes for a seated table, we got lucky and got a booth along the wall. After about 5 minutes after being seated, a small group was seated at one of the booths and was immediately swarmed by several employees. I guess you still have to know someone to get seats without a wait(we were told that the bar seats are first come first serve). Anyway, our server was very good and fast to get drinks and take orders. I ordered a beer and Jerk wings. They were much better than the terrible«Hotty Hot/Onion» wings I had before, although two of the wings were blatantly undercooked. Luckily, I became full before this, or I would have sent them back(maybe I should have?). This visit was shaping up to be at least somewhat better than before… until a group of middle-aged men began acting like fools. They began yelling, talking very loudly, and openly accosting surrounding women. Employees didn’t do anything about it, and one actually encouraged their behavior. It was embarrassing and annoying, especially since it was before 6PM and these guys were clearly in need of a DD to get home. Overall, I almost could have given 3 or 4 stars, but an unequal policy towards seating customers, raw chicken, and middle-aged men trying to relive their youth ruined it.

We absolutely love Looney’s shrimp salad but were extremely disappointed in our last carry out order. We ordered two sandwiches and a wrap and all three hardly had any shrimp salad on them. Half of the inside of the wrap, that I paid extra for, was WRAP!!! I’ve posted a picture. Talk about being ripped off. It was so disappointing that they’ve started skimping like this. I hope this isn’t the new standard or the next time we return might be our last.

OK, this is just not my kind of place. I would not pick this place but I was with other people from work and I wasn’t driving. It was loud before they turned on the ball game and then it was almost unbearable. Service was very good, quick and on top of our needs. Happy hour beer specials were priced well and they had a reasonable selection. I had the New York reuben which I thought the meat was too dry and the kraut skimpy.
