First off, I was shopping for a gym and did not end up joining this one. Or any other sites in this franchise chain. Here is why:
I liked the concept of small groups of women only and that it was on my drive to work. However, the place is not only very small/​intimate, but the fact that they only schedule four women at a time also means they only have four cardio machines — 2 treadmills and 2 ellipticals. What if you only like ellipticals and so do the others in your group? I also asked if I could use other branches of the chain on weekends (i.e. ones closer to my house rather than work) and they didn’t know.
But the real deal breaker was the lack of showers. They told me folks just «freshen up» in the tiny bathroom and dress for work in the tiny single dressing room. I, for one, do not like to arrive at work having just wiped the sweat off myself with a washcloth — I hope to need a real shower!
