First as soon as you walk into this location, the smell of cigarette smoke is overpowering. At first walking in I thought it was the«older building» but it became to much for me while trying to get a quote. I brought in a tablet with a broken screen. Originally, I was quoted $ 90 for the repair. This was after having the opportunity to look up the screen online. After my leaving and approving the repair and the estimated time for repairs I then received a call informing me the new charge would be over $ 250 closer to $ 270. Upon hearing that quote and change, I told them not to do the repair as I could get another tablet and I would be back to pick my tablet up. There was hesitation on the phone as they said«Give us time, we have to put it back together.» The gentleman was surprised when I came back to get the tablet. He was again trying to tell me that the part alone was $ 200. I told him«Thank you». He was not aware my husband is an IT professional who didn’t have the time to replace the screen himself, thus why I was bringing it to a location near me when I am in downtown Grapevine. Online the part is only $ 90. Which we have since ordered. In addition not having it in a smoke filled environment assures the quality and integrity of the equipment. This location still asks for passcodes. However, I didn’t provide one as we had the tablet on guest mode. As previous people state there are other locations to go.

In May 2015 I took my laptop in this location and requested an estimate for a repair. I was offered a diagnostic check and I declined. I was told the repair I needed would cost approximately $ 150.00. He asked me for my password to my laptop. I thought the request was suspicious being he was able to access my laptop via the guest account. He insisted it was necessary to access my primary account which contain my personal information. He was aware the only necessary repair was replacing my screen. I returned approximately one week later to pick up my laptop. When I arrive the owner told me the repairs were not made and that my actual charges would be approximately $ 250. I declined to have these repair completed because I received a cheaper estimate at a different location. Considering the price, I thought the name of this location should be Excessive Computer Repairs. He stated it was necessary for me to leave the laptop and return at a later date because he took my laptop apart and it remained apart. I returned one week later and he charged me $ 60 for a diagnostics check that I previously declined on the first day that I went to this location. When I declined to pay the $ 60 he called the police. This was the only time I observed«express» action was taken at «Express Computer Repair.» When the police arrived it appeared they were familiar with him and his methods. I would highly recommend anyone reading this review save your money, time and avoid the slightest possibilities this person will attempt to access your private information held on your computer. Also, avoid the possibilities of being charged for services but you did not request and his attempt to give you a criminal record. There are many other professional and highly recommended computer repair companies in the immediate area of this location.

This place has the worst customer service. The manager is very rude and unprofessional. The rep broke my screen. I called the manger and he called me a scam artist. Do not go here!
