One of my favorite places in the north east. The subs and lobster rolls are normally my reasoning for coming in. This time i decided to try the lettuce bowl with the bbq chicken and cheddar cheese. It was not disappointing. The chicken came in big tender chunks covered by a tangy bbq sauce and cheddar cheese. My only complaint is the lettuce seemed to be a little on the old side as it wasn’t the greenest I’ve seen and it also tasted as if it had been sitting out a while. The lobster bisque was excellent as always.

This is my kid’s favorite place to go for subs. The service here is great — extremely friendly and quick. The chicken teriyaki sub is incredible, and the clam chowder isn’t bad either.

3 stars based solely on the food; they get a bonus star for the online ordering system, the frequent customer program(points add up wicked fast), and the great coupon codes found on . As Tracy mentioned, the online order and pay system is super convenient. You walk in and your sub is waiting for you on the counter — you can skip the line. I would also agree that going during the lunch rush can be a cluster-you-know-what; so if your sub requires special instructions, they may be overlooked. I come here multiple times a week because of the coupon codes. They usually have a 3-dollar-off deal which means I can get a large sub for about 5 dollars. One time they did forget to put mayo on my club(wicked dry); another time they gave my friend about 2 slices of roast beef on her sandwich(so it was pretty much bread). I would agree with another reviewer about the lobster sub — although I think it is closer to 20 dollars. It is a tiny amount of lobster. If you are craving an AWESOME steak and cheese sandwich, get the«1-pound Steak and Cheese». It is LOADED with shaved steak. Just don’t look up the nutrition info. Another sandwich worthy of it’s own paragraph is «The Dagwood». It is a traditional sandwich served on thick white bread(or wheat). It has every type of meat, plus yellow peppers, red onions, lettuce, tomato, mayo, and yellow mustard. My advice is to leave off the yellow mustard — it is wicked overpowering. The buffalo chicken wrap, turkey club, and chicken stir fry are also lunch favorites of mine. The service is always friendly, probably cause they know me by now, but as long as I work at Hanscom, I’ll continue to eat here for lunch.

Being that this D’angelos is near the base… Its an often frequented spot… Who doesnt Love D’angelos. I mean its a sub shop… I went for lunch today, the most conveinent thing about them now is that you can order & pay online — which is great for ordering from work, so the lucky person who goes doesnt have to deal with 10 orders & change… So I get the same thing I always get & Have been getting for 15 years… Classic Veggie with Lettuce, why is it that they ALWAYS forget the lettuce. I think the lunch rush is busy here & they all get too flustered to pay attention to detail. Other than that its D’angelos — you know what to expect!

Growing up, I was always a big fan of D’Angelo’s sandwich shops throughout New England. Back in the day D’Angelo’s seemed almost like a Mom & Pop sandwich shop, you would yell out your order to one of the staff and he/she would go back and cook it for you fresh and fast, it had a local feel to it. The past 10 years D’Angelo’s has expanded their locations and along with expansion came a decrease in their food quality. They also tried to remodel and create a new look, big mistake, seems like they tried to shift toward a Subway type style. I am sadly disappointed, I miss the old D’Angelo’s! If you’re craving a grinder, look elsewhere.

Yuck! OK, here’s why just one star: One thing I love about Mass in the summer are the lobster rolls… cheap, not presumptuous, and a nice change of pace for a way to enjoy the fruit of the sea… And, you can get them everywhere! Even Mickey D’s gets into the act at some locations. So D’Angelo’s charges $ 14.99(I think) for theirs — not inexpensive, even a little more than you might pay for a lobster roll in a lot of full-service restaurants. I ordered one for lunch, sat down to enjoy… and it was the toughest, stringiest lobster I have ever NOT enjoyed. I’m not a chef but I would guess they just overcooked the bejeezus out of the poor clawdude. It was so bad that I just tossed into the trash, went across the street and consoled myself with a Big Mac. What a sad, sad day… and shame on D’Angelo’s for screwing up a New England summer staple!

They are fast and friendly what more do you want from a fast food chain? Nothing special about their subs just typical D’Angelos. Their BLT is pretty good. They cook the bacon well done which is the way I like bacon.
