These guys are great. I brought my old, worn out house key to them to make some copies but since my original was so worn out, there was no way to make a functional new one. «Garbage in, garbage out,» said the owner. I showed him the original again and not only did he tell me exactly the architectural style of my house, he measured the various grooves in the key and deduced the correct cutting pattern. I now have a perfect copy of the original key, and he save me the cost and hassle of having to have a locksmith come to the house and replace the lock. Highly recommended!!!

I needed a key made in a hurry to give to a contractor working on my home. After being turned away from three different hardware stores and another locksmith because my key was difficult to match, I was referred to Bedford Lock. I’ll go straight to Bedford in the future, even though it’s a little out of the way! Totally professional, quick and reasonably priced, and my extra keys were cut perfectly (not always the case when you go to a chain store).
If you have a key to an older/​difficult lock that you need to duplicate, definitely check this place out!

Had a great experience with Chevis from Bedford Lock and Key. Chevis and I connected by phone the day before, he listened to what I needed, asked detailed questions about each of my locks and at the end he gave me a detailed estimate of how much all would be with parts and labor. He arrived on time in the morning, worked fast and efficiently and had a great attitude. He noticed that one of my locks had a piece that was jammed — rather than offer to replace the entire lock, he offered to replace the piece with one he had in the truck and only charge me the used price. I appreciate how conscientious he was of the overall expense. I definitely recommend Chevis from Bedford Lock and Key, it was a pleasure working with them.

When I lost all my low tech keys for my ancient Japanese car, they fixed me a new one for about half of what everybody else wanted. Perhaps it was about $ 60 or 80 or so.
When I was in the home alarm and security business I sent clients there. Never heard anything but thanks from clients I sent there. (I never got a kickback; sent my clients there for good work at a good price“
What else is there. Good hard working folks, non corporate. If you like disrespecting craftsman, go to a place that hires lesser locksmiths and they will ask «would you like fries with that!»
