Having spent a good chunk of my childhood visiting relatives in this neck of the woods, I don’t think I could’ve ever predicted that a place such as this would one day sprout up, but despite my initial skepticism, I’ve gotta say that this place rocks! On a whim, we decided to stop by to check it out and see what they had and I was pleasantly surprised by their ice cream selection which we were told usually changes on a daily basis. They had unique flavors like Mango Lassi, Basil, and Salted Caramel, but the pièce de résistance was definitely the Mango, Pineapple, and Guava Sorbet. Summer may be over, but with this sweet, tropical treat in my hands, I could’ve been fooled into thinking summer were still around. We also got a piece of their banana bread and after my own, of course, I’ve gotta say that it was truly delicious. It was moist and flavorful and I’d definitely get it again. Next time I’m around I would return just to see what ice cream flavors they’ve got this time and I’m sure I won’t be disappointed.

Found this hidden gem as I was meandering back to a friend’s apartment. All I saw was a symbol of a coffee cup, ice cream and a cupcake and my curiosity was piqué! I had a hankering for some ice cream and immediately zoomed in on the honey ricotta flavor. A small scoop is $ 3.25. The honey ricotta was infused with generous chunks of pistachio and dried oranges. Could have done without the oranges but it gave the honey flavor a bit of a kick. Small scoop is very small. Probably would have had more of an issue with it but I had just eaten lunch and wanted a smaller dessert. Menu has coffee, tea, homemade ice cream and sandwiches. Interior is fairly small. It’s a pretty cool local spot to just hangout and chill. I’d maybe come back for more ice cream but the flavors and are pretty standard with maybe 1 – 2 flavors I don’t see elsewhere.

Stopped by relatively early, and I guess they were just opening(around 8:45/9) so they didn’t have any iced coffee brewed yet which I thought was a little strange. I would assume that in the summer you would brew some ahead of time or at least come in early to have it available by open. I mostly just wanted something caffeinated so I got regular coffee(which was also still brewing apparently) and a chocolate croissant. I really enjoyed both but I knocked off a star because despite the fact that it’s not a coffee shop persay, if you’re going to be open in the morning for the morning crowd, you should be prepared from the time you open for people to come in and want coffee, iced or otherwise.

I am SO excited that Fort Grace opened up a storefront. They are like a grown-up now! I LOVE the«Salted Caramel» mixed with«Chocolate». That is what I have been ordering for years at the DeKalb Fort Grace stand location. Even though I taste test new flavors all the time, I never veer from that combo. Why? Well the Salted Caramel by itself is a lil’ sweet, the chocolate is a bitter variety that cuts the sweet and the mixture is well… Ice Cream Crack. The downside to the DeKalb location is that during hot days, the ice cream can get drippy + they *often* sell out of flavors due to high demand. Problem Solved — Now they have a whole store! I tried about 7 flavors today, as I always do, but still ordered my typical Salted Caramel/Chocolate. But then my spouse ordered a new flavor, the«Peanut Butter Crunch»(NOT to be confused with the regular peanut butter) mixed w/Salted Caramel and O.M.G. Chunks of fresh chunky peanut butter in a creamy and light vanilla ice cream. We ended up eating spoonfuls of all three flavors… Delectable. MUSTTRYFLAVORS: Salted Caramel & Chocolate — together. Peanut Butter Crunch

Fairly new location right next to Speedy Romeo’s. Difficult to find at first, so I went over to the original location — which is literally a shed — outside of the General Greene. After getting a cone there and seeing them advertising the new spot I decided to go back to really find it. And get another cone. The interior is a little unpolished right now, but I kinda dig that you can see all of the processing equipment right there. Some standard flavors along side some more unusual ones. Obviously I got the peanut butter and the salted caramel, but also gave the basil a try. Surprisingly pleasant, no regrets on that one.

Great little spot in Bed-Stuy! Ice cream options a plenty, we had the white mint chocolate chip and the espresso gelato. As usual, cash only, but don’t let that deter you. Going back to try the pistachio or honey ricotta ice cream.
