Tapatio Mexican Restaurants

So I went to this place after trying another nearby Mexican restaurant (see my reviews) because they had Chille Verde. I am not cheap but I do expect to get my moneys worth when it comes to most things. My food came and my plate had large servings of beans and rice and a few specks of pork smothered in verde sauce. Did I complain? NO I was furious after my experience at the nearby place. So I ate my beans and rice paid and left. I will not return to this place either. BTW the Chille Verde was just like the other place so I wouldn’t be surprised if they have the same owner.

Good, good, good.
I sat at the bar, had a Patron Margarita and there salsa and chips.
First of all the drink was good and the salsa even better. Thick and full of fresh veggies.
I ordered the bacon wrapped shrimp covered with cheese and onions. Well cooked and well prepared. Tender shrimp not string-​ie
Not a lot more to say but it was worth the $$$ and I will go back again.
OK. Second visit. «Honey, you have to try this place.» I took my wife to dinner and had the same thing, bacon wrapped shrimp. Hard to order anything else. My wife had the Pollo a la crema, so good that she took a to-​go box. Now if she wants to take what’s left home… it had to be good!
You can get Mexician food all over Beaverton, but I have to say this is close to the best.
HINT: Go on Monday, the drink special is the Cadillac Margarita, well poured and worth the $$$

Pros:
1.Nora was friendly. She greeted, seated us, and took our order.
2.Restaurant was close to our home.
3.We had a coupon.
4.Yummy refried beans served with chips & salsa.
Cons:
1.The chips tasted as though they had been fried in very old oil. I have never had this experience before. I wondered if it was just me, because my husband and daughter didn’t notice the same thing (we were all starving & had a very bad day. We would have eaten just about anything).They noticed the taste later. I still have a bad after taste in my mouth. Will brush my teeth after this review.
2.My daughter had a kids enchilada, husband had an enchilada, tostada, taco combo, and I had a chili relleno. The only thing I said about my food was ooh… hot!The black beans were good, but overall the chili relleno didn’t taste good. My husband and daughter didn’t enjoy their food either. Apart from Taco Bell, this is the worst Mexican food we have ever eaten. If we hadn’t been so hungry, we wouldn’t have eaten it. We didn’t want to send it back, because it was already late for a school night. It was the first time that I haven’t heard my daughter talk about her «yummy» meal. Even though we had a coupon, we still felt that we overpaid. The quality was that bad. I still tipped Nora, but we will not be retuning.

Very friendly and prompt service. Excellent salsa and bean dip. Meal was standard to above standard. I would come back!

Terrible. Overpriced and nasty food. I got something that I thought wad a shrimp burrito and it tasted like rotten tuna. I could not eat it and told them to take it back. We asked for a side of guacamole for the nachos and they charged us $ 4.50. Watered down beans, nasty rice. If never go here again!!!

I liked this place the food was filling and the drinks were strong. The wait staff was very friendly and the burritos were huge I didn’t really expect that but I left satisfied.

This place has great costumer service everyone was really nice, but a deep cleaning on their tables would be nice. Food ok, but I’ve tried better. Will not be returning.

I ordered food to go. The portions were large but instead of chicken fajitas they were shrimp. They also forgot the tortillas even after I specifically mentioned I wanted flour. They made my burrito with rice after requesting no rice as well. I called back the next morning to let them know and the lady that answered kept telling me they don’t do refunds. I DIDN’T request a refund or want anything free, I simply wanted to inform them about the mix up. I explained this and was answered with «sorry we don’t refund or give food. You have to bring it back the same night». She kept repeating it. Definitely not coming here again.

Not that great. Luckily we had a coupon, since prices seemed high for dinner. Chile relleno was not of my liking… had mole sauce and pepper still had seeds (different from what I’m used to). Verde sauce tasted like wine. Also, our waitress only took our order and then we never saw her again… just the chip server. Overall, just okay.

The complementary chips and salsa were delicious. Nice spicy blend. Their super burrito was nicely balanced, with all the fillings complimenting each other. Love their rice and refried beans. Portions were very generous and prices were more than reasonable.

Went here for dinner with my boyfriend. The Food took forever, one shot was like $ 19, the plates were extremely hot and my meal wasn’t very good. My boyfriend burned the shit out of his mouth. I won’t be going back

If you are looking for an awesome place to eat Mexican food, look no further. Tucked in a convenient location, this place screams authenticity. Food was great, margaritas are generous and the staff are very helpful.

Very authentic. Our server Raphael was outstanding. Very courteous and friendly. The food was very good and plentiful.

We ordered a to go order so I’m not sure how the service is. Although the guy who took my order over the phone and when I went to pick it up was very friendly and helpful. As for the food, I was not a fan. They use wayyyy too much onion. I ordered arroz con camerones. I probably had 3 shrimp and the rest of my fish was sliced onion. Our other dishes weren’t any better.
I won’t be eating here again.

Dinner was very good, well proportions — yummy margarita. We obviously liked it

SUNDAY BRUNCH:
Always good and consistent in quality for 11.99.
Besides lots of good Mexican food, Tapatio has one of the largest cut up fresh food bars anywhere.
Today we had bbq basted pork ribs, omelets and for desert a huge waffle.
Btw, Tapatio has really good chips and salsa.

Made mistake with my order… Came back and staff and manager was totally friendly and helpful and replaced my order … Don’t know how it taste yet but the service is a1 will definitely come back again!

Was visiting a good friend in Portland, and was looking for a good mexican restaurant that participated in
certificates as I had received a promotional credit there.
Tapatio looked like a good choice, and I couldn’t have been happier.
The service was great, very friendly, and even funny, as well as attentive without being overly so. Food was served quickly, as were drinks. The food portions were great, and the quality was very good. The booths were very comfortable, and the atmosphere just felt good and positive.
Tried 4 different flavors of their margaritas, and all of them were good. Highly recommend the Kiwi and the Mango! Good thing we weren’t driving home!
If I lived here locally, I’d be a regular here.

Always delicious! Our favorite Mexican restaurant in the Beaverton area. Their Margarita Tapatio is splendid!

Always excellent and tasty. Served by very friendly people! Our new fav Mexican place.
Salsa the best. You can easily eat for under $ 10 a person. Guac is homemade.
