Stage 4 Hair Design

I «yelped» a hair salon while in the area. I was searching for «Nancy Doss» from excellent reviews and finally realized (she) was located inside of Stage 4. I did not have an appt but took a chance. Nancy was busy but another stylist agreed to take me. She did a very good job… my hair had been so outgrown?!
At the end, I found out that the girls are actually all «on their own» inside of there and charge their own amounts and accept/​dont accept credit cards. (Nancys page had said «yes») This one did not. She offered the nearby 7 – 11 ATM but then told me $ 25 instead of $ 30. That was nice. I am admittedly a cheapskate though and with reviews showing only one $ sign (has been raised now),…I was thinking like $ 20 anyhow? (probably my own ignorance?) I do see now that the previous review states that the stylists are separate and no credit cards.

I Purchased a Groupon for Emily here and Will never return! I had to Wait a month for my appointment then when i arrived she accused me off dying my hair black and said i needed $ 50 more for her to do my hair! she claimed it was covered in the fine print of the groupon which it wasn’t (i double checked later, it only mentioned texture and length as factors for additional charges, nothing mentioned about color) she was very rude and had the audacity to call me unprofessional when i got upset because she was avoiding questions! even refused to return my Groupon! first off my hair is Dark brown and i got a full refund after calling
and ended up purchasing another highlight package from a different stylist in portland and she did my highlights just fine with no additional charges! (just like all my previous stylists)
I don’t know what messed up world Emily got trained in, but she is a terrible business woman and i wouldn’t let her touch my hair if she paid me!
Very rude and dishonest!

What do I like in a hair stylist? Someone who is willing to listen to what I like and am interested in and then has the confidence to make suggestions for what works well with my hair and face shape. I found this stylist at Stage 4!
I went to Stage 4 on the recommendation of a friend and I am so pleased with my visit. The salon was very busy for a Thursday afternoon. It felt more like a great place to sit and visit for a while since everyone seemed to be having such lively discussions.
Dian Imper was my very confident and inspiring stylist. After getting acquainted with each other, she worked her magic on my neglected hair. I left feeling like I have a cute, sassy cut that I can manage on my own.
Just so you’re aware, all of the stylists work on their own and they don’t take credit cards. Cash or check only.

I am not sure why my reviews keep dissapearing, but this place rocks!
I followed Sandi over here from an Aveda Salon and she is extremely talented with color and cuts. I highly recomment her or anyone who works at this salon, they are all very good!
