Lunch special was 5.99. Very good deal!
I had chicken and it was delicious. Samsung pay works here also.

Cheap, convenient, delicious, fast service, great lunch special. Soup and salad are self serve. Free WiFi.

Within walking distance of where I work so I tried it out, won’t be back. Mediocre food, grumpy staff, lame atmosphere. I’ll skip this from now on and walk a little further for better options.

I saw the sign for a cheap lunch special as I drove past this place on Nimbus. I should have kept on driving and went to the nearby Panda Express instead.
I was generally very unimpressed by everything. I tried the pot stickers along with the chicken teriyaki special. The self-​serve salad didn’t look very fresh or appetizing, so I skipped it. The soup was bland and some of the veggies tasted a bit old.
The pot stickers appear to be store-​bought, but they’re not even as good as the ones at CostCo. The white rice and unseasoned chicken with teriyaki sauce were edible and cooked correctly. I saw the words «passable» and «serviceable» being tossed around in other reviews of this place and I’ll apply those to the main course and pot stickers.
The dining area was clean and well-​kept with lots of 2-​seat and 4-​seat tables and free wi-​fi, so it’s very appropriate for its business park location. The people running the place were friendly as well.
Finally, there’s this large mural of the wild west frontier that felt a bit off. Animals getting enticed over the smell of themselves being cooked on a BBQ just feels wrong. If there weren’t people in the way, I would have taken a panoramic photo, but I’m probably never coming back anyway to finish the job…

TL;DR: No time for Rice Time

I had driven by a few times and noticed their sign for the lunch special they have so I stopped by and ordered the teryaki chicken lunch special. I was pleasantly surprised to have it served to me in less than 5 minutes. I thought it’d include veggies, gyros or something, but all it consisted of was unflavored teriyaki chicken and rice. Not to mention a regular sized fountain beverage was a additional $ 2.00. All the while, there was a continuous info comercial playing about the Shark steam mop.
To have such a disappointment of a teriyaki joint surrounded by successful companies and business that I happen to service, makes me dumbfounded. They have potential to make a lot of money in thier location, but due to thier poor conditions they lack a steady flow to customers. I should have caught the hint as to what I was in for when I walked in and noticed only a handful of people sitting and eating. during lunch hour.

Rice Time is a great lunch spot for cheap. I almost always get their lunch special of salad and chicken teriyaki, but they also make great yakisoba noodles and some pretty decent egg rolls. Orders are made very quickly so it’s easy to get in and out. Definitely worth a stop by.

I was craving a bowl of Japanese style ramen noodles so I did a cursory internet search for places in Tigard and found one that not only did I live quite close to but had driven past a few times. I called the store and a thickly accented voice confirmed that they did in fact serve ramen noodles. So I drove to the place. It was in the middle of a corporate park, the interior and exterior were both decently nice, the menu wasn’t overcrowded and it sort of just seemed like any Americanized Asian restaurant. I approached the counter and ordered my bowl of ramen for 7.99 which is more than I used to pay for quite an authentic experience growing up in Hawaii.
I think my naïveté got the best of me, because I absolutely would have never expected what ended up coming out of that kitchen.
I was served instant noodles. Maruchan, Top Ramen, Sapporo Ichiban, I have no idea what brand it was but I was legitimately served 3-​minute 35¢ off-​the-​walmart-​shelf ramen noodles. At first I had a hard time coming to terms with the fact that I had paid $ 8 for what was in front of me and I considered complaining, but based on the fact that I make instant noodles for myself at home and take pride in the savory soup and vegetable broth I create from scratch, I decided to give theirs a try. The noodles weren’t cooked fully and their custom broth mixture was just basic broth and some cabage. By the end of the meal I had lost all respect for the place and most of my desire to ever eat ramen again, much less instant noodles.
Do not order the ramen at Rice Time. I am not exaggerating when I say that it is the worst ramen I’ve ever ordered in my life. I can’t speak to the quality of their other dishes.

It’s about as authentic as possible for a corporate park in Beaverton. Fast & delicious lunch plates with Free soup, salad & kimchee:)

Serviceable lunch, but nothing to write home about.
My $ 7 Yakisoba was worth about $ 3.99, Typical reheat job.
My other complaint is they didn’t have root beer. I know that’s not an issue to most people but I drink about 1 soda a month and I like root beer, Not on tap and not in the cooler.
It’s walking distance for lunch and the roads are snow and ice. Next snow storm I may give them another try but no reason to make a special trip.

I love this place! I always end up stopping by when I come to visit OR. Rice Time Oriental Grill has always been my first pick when I need quick bite to eat. Good food, great service and awesome price.

I usually come in from either the beef udon or the orange chicken. Waaaaaay better than Panda!!!

This gets 4 starts for what it is. Quick tasty Asian food in a business park. I’m not sure a full review is needed. The price is right and so is the food.

Have recently started working again in the area. Its nice to know that this place is still here and is still serving consistently good food. The specials are good at $ 5.45 each day… and I LOVE the spicy pork.

My 17 yr old LOVES this place and if he were doing the rating, we’d be right up there at 5 stars.
But he’s not.
He & I stop into this place once in a while for lunch (they are a WEEKDAY only LUNCH joint).
They won me over on FREE broth soup and kimchee on a day I had a bad ass cold. Then they pleasantly surprised me with a their generous tender and tasty teriyaki beef plate — it was less than $ 6.00 and comes with rice and aforementioned cold remedies! Bargain price for pleasant service and a bizarro interior in the midst of big business park off Nimbus. I like the people who run it, I like the price and my son thinks he’s died and gone to HEAVEN.

but only a few hours each weekday…

Rice Time Oriental Grill has 2 major things going for it. The first is the excellent Chicken Bento lunch special for $ 5.45. This comes with 2 smallish chicken breasts sliced and served in a sauce, a heaping portion of rice, and a salad. A perfectly tasty and affordable work day lunch. The 2^nd is the free soup which at first glance appears to be a nappy looking vegetable concoction, but upon tasting it explodes with a wonderful smoky essence. During the grey winter months a bowl of this soup brightens the synapses. They have a rewards card that gives various free items once certain purchasing goals are reached which is a nice loyalty perk. The other food I have tried there is fair, but the real value is the lunch bento special. I would never make a special trip to this establishment but if working in the area it is a wonderful lunch establishment.

As I work nearby it’s nice to have somewhere within walking distance to pick up a quick lunch. The staff here is friendly and they do take call-​in orders!
They have «free soup» and kimchee that you can serve yourself prior to meal arriving. It’s not that great unless you are THAT hungry. My food was cooked and served promptly.
I ordered the spicy veggie chicken and am wishing I had taken some of the sauce to-​go with me. It was not spicy at all. The chicken was all dark meat… meh. Too much cabbage in the «veggie mix». There really was hardly any chicken at all. Pretty much all cabbage. Crappy.
Overall the portion was large. Each meal is served with a salad as far as I know. Is it just me or did the salad dressing have the slighest hint of root beer? Odd. The prices are average. Approx. $ 7 for a meal. Being this was my first time in trying Rice Time, I would come here again but advise in ordering something else. The Yakisoba looked good.

i need food. i need oregon food. that means teriyaki. that means general tso’s! that means yakisoba. i came here, under new management. place is cool, its a japanese place owned by k folks who have chinese food on the menu, serve kimchi, and the mural is of a mexican backdrop with donkeys and all, oh and they serve burritos. yeah you heard me.
place is in a business park near washington square mall. i loved it!
