Rib City is a restaurant that makes me wish Unilocal had ratings that allowed half stars, because I would give it 3.5 stars. Atmosphere is nice for what it is, and that is a chain BBQ restaurant. It is clean and well lit. Decent pictures on the wall, but nothing really unique or special. Service: It has been good the three times I have been there. I have had waitresses each time and they have been friendly and helpful. The other cool thing is that they run your credit card off their ass… kind of. They have cool little portable credit card swiping machines in there back pockets. By the time I am ready of the check I am ready to leave, so this is a cool feature. Food: I love barbecue, but I don’t have any of the«I was raised in Texas, Kansas City, Memphis, etc» snobishness. The barbecue at Rib City is decent. It is not great, but for the area we live in it is pretty damn good. If you can make it into the restaurant during the«Happy Hours» then it is definitely worth it, as they have great deals then. Also, while the barbecue is decent, the Pecan Pie is top notch. Definitely give it a try. Especially if you have time during the 3 – 5 pm time frame on weekdays.

The hubby and I have been here twice now. And we will be going again SOON! The two of us have left the place both times now asking«so how healthy is bbq? How many times a week can we eat here and not end up 300 lbs?» hehehe Yes we like it THAT much. The ribs literally fall off the bone. I’ve had the same plate both times I’ve been there. Ribs+Fried Shrimp+ side(potato and coleslaw the first time. coleslaw and beans the second time), texas toast and iced tea. They have three different sauces to eat with your ribs or other assortment of meats. I prefer the«spicy» one. It’s not really THAT spicy… It just kind of gets the back of your tongue with a bit of heat. Texas toast is good for moping up extra sauce that falls on your plate, extra juice from your coleslaw or beany goodness left in your bowl.

this was the first resturaunt I went to in beaverton on the first day I arrived, this place is really good, the ribs were made of awesomeness with awesome sauce on top lol. contrary to what one person wrote I did not find the ribs dry at all they were sooo tender and fell right off the bone, the bbq sauce was really good and did not drown out the flavor of the meat!

I’ve seen all the positive reviews of this place, and one of my co-workers is always eating here, so I figured I would get a to go order. When I walked in, the server was very helpful in helping me figure out what to get since this was my first time here. Of course she recommended the babyback ribs, and said they are super tender, and the pigs come from Denmark or something like that. So I got that, beans, and some rolls. The waitress asked me if I would like a complimentary glass of sweet tea while I wait. Sweet tea to a Southern man like myself is like meth to all you people born and raised in the Pacific NW. Just gotta have it! +2 stars. While my order was being made, she said she charged me for 6 rolls instead of just 3, so would I like a pint of potato salad for free? Gotta love a place that catches a mistake before you catch it, and then more than makes up for it. +1 star. I don’t even think I waited 10 mins and my order was ready. Got the food home so my wife and I could pig out. Wow, the ribs are super tender, and yes they really do fall right off the bone. +2 stars. Forget Reo’s Ribs, THIS is our new place from now on. I also saw that they have fried okra, so we’ve gotta try that next!

If you are in Beaverton and craving BBQ, this is the place to go. The baby back ribs are incredibly tender, and are served with your choice of sauce. In addition, the smoked turkey is fresh tasting, and if you have any leftovers, you’ll eat the best turkey sandwich ever the next day! I’ve also tried the pulled pork, which is also above average in terms of quality and taste. I usually get a two or three item combo, which includes two or three meats, two sides and bread. This is about $ 15, and is PLENTY of food for one very hungry person, or two average eaters. My wife and I often just get this 2 or 3 item combo, and split it. It is always plenty of food for the two of us. Don’t let the strip-mall location scare you. The food here is very good, in terms of quality, taste and value. It’s not the absolute best BBQ I’ve ever had, which is why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. But, especially for the Beaveron area, it is more than acceptable. In fact, my wife and I have put Rib City on our regular restaurant rotation, and now go here about once a month. I can confidently recommend Rib City for anyone seeking very good BBQ in Beaverton.

This place is delicious and at a fair price! I used to make a trip to Rio’s ribs but this is my new spot. The ribs are cooked just right and you get good sized tasty sides with your meal. Rio’s is mighty fine but I find the value here to be on the spot. I think it is pretty grand they have a spot for kids to play. I imagine it brings joy to many parents. Most restaurants don’t create a place for kids to be kids.

I’ve heard about this restaurant and have even walked right by a few times but never stopped in. Located next to the Phở restaurant and near my favorite best baguet sandwich place. I ordered the ½ rack of baby backs with potato salad and cole slaw. The service and waitress were the best. I had my lunch in about 10 minutes. They have 3 different sauce choices with one very spicy pepper type. They make their own potato salad, cole slaw, and beans. All of the food was good, but I really liked the potato salad. Last health inspection on 1÷13÷09 was an 80% in case anyone was wondering. The happy hour looked like it might be worth trying sometime. I’ll be back.

This is by far my favorite rib/smoked meat joint around Beaverton. I’m always surprised the place isn’t busier– the prices for lunch are unbeatable, and the dinner prices are reasonable too. The food is great! A crew from work goes over for lunch pretty frequently, and we always enjoy it. I usually get the BBQ pork plate– the meat’s thinly sliced, just the way I like it. The baked beans are amazing, and the fries are thin and crispy on the outside, soft in the middle. Perfect! My wife says the side salad is nothing to write home about, but what do you expect at a rib joint? One other tip: you hafta ask for the«spicy» BBQ sauce– it’s not really all that spicy, but it is the best flavored one in my opinion.

This is where we go for RIBS in Beaverton! It isn’t as good as Russel Street but it fulfills the cravings and the price is right! good portions and sauces. My service has always been good too. the options of sides aren’t too exciting but the fries and cole slaw are solid. I do wish they served up some greens… we tried the two person feast(and it was enough for three or four) so we could try a bit of everything. The name of the restaurant tells you what to get. The chicken was surprisingly tasty too. don’t waste your time with the sliced beef or pork. get the ribs!

Having friends that love this place I was at first skeptical. but now having been twice I’ve got to admit Rib City does an excellent job. The staff is always friendly, the food consistently good, and no one in the groups has ever left hungry. Like all good BBQ, it’s messy and finger lickin good. The baby back ribs are consistently fall off the bone tender, the chicken moist, the pork and turkey flavorful. Everyone raves about the deep fried okra(sorry I hate okra) but the onion rings are good alternative for me. The meat is lightly sauced with extra sauce to taste on the table including spicy bbq sauce they bring out with the food. Rib City won’t stop me from doing my magic in the summer, but during the winter it certainly relieves the BBQ blues out here in the burbs.

This place is going to make me fat…(ter)… I wouldn’t stray into the burbs just for their ribs, but if you’re in the area and you want to loosen your belt, hit them up for sure. The ribs are tender as hell, I had both the St. Louis and babybacks. The babyback meat pretty much fell off the bone, while the St. Louis ribs satified that primal urge to tear meat off the bone with your teeth. They were both well seasoned with a good amount of smoke and not drowning in sauce, more of a dry rub thing, but you can add more sauce at the table. The beef was good and lean. Not brisket, which is fine with me. The turkey was moist and tender. The one thing I really did not like was the pork. It was very fatty and not as flavorful as the other meats. The BBQ beans were good as was the corn cobbette. The coleslaw was OK, as was the bread. The service was quick and the wait staff actually carry PDAs and printers and cash you out the instant you hand them your card, pretty nifty.

My friend craves about this place… but when I went with my gf, we were not that impressed. The ribs were mediocre and the service was average. I did like how the server was able to print the check/bill for us on her belt buckle machine, that was interesting. I think the worse part of the meal was when we ordered the onion rings for appetizer. They were big onion rings, but once we bit into them… they were WAY under cooked. The power in the batter fell out of the onion rings… gross…

Here we go again. Another rib joint that brags & boasts that it has spectacular BBQ with all the fixins. Uh-huh, whatever. I will say this for Rib City… it’s pretty good. In agreement with an earlier review, the ribs are a little on the dry side, but they are tender & their signature sauce is very tasty. I didn’t bother with any of the sides this first time around, quite frankly I have been so tired of being disappointed in the BBQ department I wasn’t about to throw a lot into this first outing. I’ll give an update on this one… I’m sure I’ll give it another try.

Ooooo! The barbeque beans are so yummy, great blend of spices, a little sweetness and some fall off the bone meat mixed in. Yum!

Somebody cares at this place. It is a new restaurant and they are clearly trying to think of everything to give the diner a fun and nice experience. As the other reviewer points out it is in a strip mall by the Hall Street Grill, just down from the Cedar Hills Crossing New Seasons. With that location you’d think it would be a pretty small place, but holy schmoly, this place is really big inside. It could seat 200 easy. Lots of booths and individual tables, all brand new and shiny. Nice easy going decorating. A KIds Play Area that you can sit right next to(I have three sons 6 and younger… play area good). A wide variety on the menu of chicken, pork and some beef. Great variety on price points too, you can spend 17 bucks for a rack of ribs plus a side of pork and stuff, or just have a piled high pork sandwich for 8 bucks. They make their own sauces in house and every table has three containers on it with sweet, mild, and hot in ‘em. My wife and I had the«feast for two»… woof, more like feast for four, we took food home(and I can eat like a champ, people). FREE kids meal for the 4 and under set — but if your kids are like mine they won’t eat it, because it is a BBQ’d chicken leg(still on the bone) and french fries. My kids are not used to chicken actually being ON the bone and after much cajoling, stll wouldn’t nibble at it. Wait staff is nice and attentive. They take your order on palm pilot and then when it is time to pay they swipe your CC through the same device right there and they all have little printers in their back pockets! Food had a nice smoky flavor, but I found some of the thin sliced stuff to be pretty dry needing extra sauce. Ribs and chicken I give an 8 out of 10 which isn’t too bad right? They clearly care about their place and trying to show you a good time — so let them won’t you?

Well now a new rib place on the West-side… They promise if you have to pick up a knife to eat the baby backs then they will pick up the meal… So off I go. Nice big place in the same lot as Hall Street Grill. With a name like Rib City I’m think-in all sorts of ribs but that be wrong… Just Baby Backs and St Louis style. They have many other items but I had that craving for some big old sloppy Beef ribs and no luck here. The Baby backs were good. A little on the dry side but still they had a good smoke and I did not need a knife. Very tender. Sides were fair. nothing to great or bad. They put Reo’s to shame… Which is not very hard to do. The Mgr even thanked me for giving them a try and asked me if I would like a free piece of Key Lime Pie. I told him no thanks and he said how about the best Pecan Pie you ever had?(hmm how did he know I’m very weak to turning down good pecan pie) So I said sure lets try it. It was good… When he came back by he asked me isn’t that the best Pecan pie you ever had? I had to tell him the truth… Nope. It was the second best Pecan pie I ever had and he needed to go to Jackson, Tenn to try the best… He laughed and said he could live with second place then… Prices were good for a BBQ place. Very nice bunch of people. Good BBQ(not great) I would go back again just for the pecan pie…
