I purchased 2 suits & shirts when I was in good physical shape, and 2 more of each when I was more«prosperous.» I returned a third time for alterations of the larger suits. I will try to set forth the good and bad. I am an attorney licensed to practice in the courts of my state, and in several federal courts. The first 2 suits were the best I ever owned at the time. One of the legs had a sweeping fabric defect, as if a power sander brushed it. The shirts were wide enough for a person who was 50 pounds too heavy to wear the suits. The tailor was Daswani. I gather that there are two Daswani’s, and that only one travels to meet customers. The second 2 suits were more expensive, and included a few extras. For example, operating sleeve buttons. I felt and knew that they looked great. I wore them to a cattle-call hearing, a room full of lawyers, and two of those lawyers complimented the suit. But the shirts were much too small for those suits. They were perfect for the original 2 suits. So when I lost weight and returned to the smaller(1st) suits, I used the later shirts. The tailor for the second set was Kumar. Both times, the product arrived by mail from Hong Kong, folded into a small package. I hung the suits. All of the wrinkles fell out overnight. The shirts of course required pressing. The third and final visit, I do not know who was the tailor; I wanted the later(bigger) suits altered to fit my smaller proportions. The tailor seemed hostile to the situation. «Nothing new?» «We can alter them, but they will not be as good as new suits.» After hearing that, I decided to keep the larger suits against the possibility that I would eat my way back into them, which I did. Today I received an invitation to make an appointment with Mr. Kumar. I am in the smaller(1st) suits now. I could use more shirts. I am doubtful as to(1) whether Hong Kong Tailors is a good place to get shirts;(2) whom they would fit; and(3) how I would be received. I will pass for now. I wear these suits in state and federal courts and selected other occasions when I must look my best. I feel that I do. If you engage a tailor, you must be ready to reject the product. If you don’t like the product and don’t complain, blame yourself. I should have rejected all 4 shirts. The 4 suits are the best clothing I own. So I give Hong Kong Tailors 5 stars for the suits, downgraded to 4 stars for the shirts.

I have purchased four Daswani suits. Simply put, they are the very best clothes I have ever owned.
