ZERO stars much? I cannot stand this place. The customer service is beyond terrible. They hire young people who have absolutely no idea what they are talking about more than half the time. They are constantly texting or on personal calls… Or holding personal conversations with co-workers when they should be helping you. They are very hard on sales too. You can repeatedly tell them NO and they will continue to pressure you in to something. Not recommended by any means.

The tanning beds are good most of the time. Employees on the other hand need to learn customer service.

For all of the 5(0 – 1) reviews that they get on here, I would expect their customer service to be a little better. My guilty pleasure is tanning. I don’t do it regularly, but sometimes I just want to sit in a hot light filled box that will make my skin a little darker(and of course lead me one step closer to cancer). I called up to get some pricing for tanning. I like the more high performance beds and were told that they had great pricing. A gal answered the phone while having a conversation with someone at the shop, maybe they were busy… maybe I should have known better. The next 5 minutes followed with her asking to repeat myself every other sentance because she was trying to hold two conversations at once. I don’t want to hear about your weekend, I want to hear about pricing, but I wasn’t getting it. I never ended up getting pricing, she recommended that I come in and discuss it in person so that they could best set me up with what I was looking for. I let her know I didn’t want a yearly package or anything along those lines, and asked about specials. Specials must be a bad word at Club Tan because I could almost feel her rolling her eyes at me. They must be doing really well, because apparently they don’t want my business. I’ll continue to shell out the extra bucks and go to Bask, where they actually like getting business.

This was actually the first place I went when I moved to Portland so I honestly can’t tell you how the prices compare to other places in Portland. They are far superior to the ones in Salem though. The staff is almost always friendly(although I don’t think I’m quite cool enough to hang out with them) and the beds are pretty up to date. The main problem is I always have to wait a long time for a bed. I think they should get more beds to accomodate their clientele. Otherwise, the beds they have are friggin’ awesome. For those of us who like to fry, this is a good place to do it.
