I’ve been taking my 6 year old son to Aim High for a couple months so far, and just signed up for the next six months. We have been incredibly impressed with the entire organization every step of the way. First of all, the instructors we have had the pleasure of dealing with(teacher Randal and Teacher Tom in the Warrior Junior course) have been fantastic. They make a point to memorize every kid’s name, and give everyone personalized encouragement and praise when they have earned it. There are even identical twin brothers in my son’s class, and it only took Teacher Randall a couple classes before he could pick them out individually. The class itself if more than just kicks and punches. Although they do get a lot of time working on those things, the course is more oriented toward focus, discipline, confidence, and responsible decision making. They have a «mat chat» session every class where the kids are encouraged to keep their focus while they discuss things like conflict avoidance and handling stressful or dangerous situations. My son regularly points out potentially dangerous situations and offers solutions to tough situations he was ill prepared for before this course. I guess it’s not a complete review if there isn’t at least a slight con, so I will say it’s a bit pricy, but even with that being said, there are a ton of classes each week(5) and I would say it’s worth every penny. This class has been really great for my son as well as for my wife and I, and we look forward to every session.

Our family is so impressed with Aim High! Both our boys love their classes and are learning so much — not just martial arts but how to be respectful, caring, responsible, and helpful. The Little Warriors and Junior Warriors programs are awesome!

I enrolled my son almost a year ago after almost 8 years with World Champion Taekwondo on West Union. The reason’s are long and if your interested you can always read my review on Unilocal as well. Enough of that though… This school is what my son was really wanting and needing in the way of protecting himself is spot on! First of all this place is huge and there’s a lot of energy in this place. Second, instead of 2 masters they have about 10 and as you move up you work with different ones each time. This particular martial art technic is called Fusion and the classes my son is in are split into age category as well as belt colors so not only are the classes smaller but the masters can focus more on you which is a huge benefit. The belt test are very intense and not nearly as much money as WCT is. I know we both feel this is where we should have come to years earlier. Since my son has joined he has a different kind of confidence and is much better equipped to protect himself then he ever was at his old school.

Not only are the instructors engaging and expert in their martial art-forms, my children have grown so much as students and individuals. They have taught my son and daughter a sense of honor and pride. They have taught them about bullies and strangers. I am in awe and have the utmost respect for the entire institution these teachers represent. I hope one day to enroll my entire family, myself included! Seriously, if you are parent looking for a venue for your children to discover a whole new world of self-expression through athleticism and physical artistry, this academy has everything you are looking for.

We signed our 5yo up for the classes there and had a very regrettable experience. The instructors were decent and we liked the way they emphasized respect, listening to your elders, etc. But the staff was disorganized, disrespectful, and was not fun to deal with. They promised things, didn’t follow up, and would magically forget about them when we followed up with them again. Their lack of customer orientation is appalling. Daniel S(he rated this place with 5 stars) works there and is the worst of the bunch. Stay away — we would never recommend anyone to this place!

Awesome crew, with many classes to choose from. It is very important for me to find a place that I am comfortable with and enjoy. A friend of mine suggested and guaranteed I would love this place if I gave it a chance, and she was not wrong. So far, I have attended two of the classes from the many choices they offer. The adult core class, which is the standard self-defense, striking type class. You will also learn stick fighting, and have plenty of sparring opportunities. The other class I have attended is the Fit Blast class. Now I have never done a group core training class before, and I was rocked to my strength and cardio limits. Just few other classes they offer: –Jiu Jitsu –Kickboxing –Family and Kid classes –Weapons –Tricking I would highly suggest checking this place out if you are currently thinking about joining a martial arts gym, or just want to improve your overall cardiovascular system and flexibility.
