DSW is located in the plaza next to Ulta and Party City, by the Fairfield Mall area in Beavercreek. There’s plenty of parking right in front– such a convenience I’ve found in the larger states. You can’t differentiate one DSW over another. From San Diego, CA to Beavercreek, OH to Nashua, NH, they all look completely the same. That said, you know what you’re getting yourself into when you head in. The staff at this DSW location were courteous. My aunt is very indecisive and needed lots of coddling(«Do you have this in a 6, 6.5, 7? Does it come in other colors? Can you see if another store has it?) in order to get on with her time at the store. Each staff member we encountered were pretty willing, albeit unconcerned to help. S’ok. I know you don’t get paid enough to deal with tempered middle aged women– I’ll deal with her! At the register, if you’re a frequent buyer, do check to see if there are any coupons/vouchers you could use toward your purchase. I received a birthday mailer and left it back home(in Mass.), and the cashier couldn’t apply the coupon toward my purchase. Ahh, well. Better luck next time.

If you’re used to T.J. Maxx you’ll feel right at home here in DSW. There are isles of shoes – all brands I recognized and all price ranges. The store is divided by sex(men get the left ¼ of the store, women get the rest). The shoes in the isles are listed with prices easily visible. If you are shopping with a price in mind, it’s easy to rule out a show before you get attached to it. However, if you want real savings, make sure you go to the back corner. That’s where the clearance section is. Shoes are marked as having an additional 10%, 30%, 50%, or 70% off their original in-sore price. I don’t have much free money, so this is the only section I shop at. Some items may only be $ 15, and it’s clear why no one will buy them. Others may still be well over $ 100, but most of the clearance Men’s shoes are between $ 50 and $ 90 and are quality brands with no visible defects. It’s definitely worth a look before you pay full price somewhere else.
