Sunview Restaurant

Excellent breakfast! We go almost every Saturday morning. Great food. Staff is very attentive.

So after the original restaurant we wanted to go too was closed, we decided to go to Sunview.
I thought it was OK, nothing special. Got a shroom n swiss burger. It was brought out a few minutes after everyone else’s food was. I hate it when that happens! Why can’t they time it better so everything is brought out together!!! The waitress then said the fries would be out shortly after. Really!!! So first I have to wait longer for my burger then I have to wait even longer for my fries? They ended up being brought out by a DIFFERENT waitress after sitting on the counter and under the heat lamp for a bit.
Subpar for mediocre food. I’d like to say that I prefer Walker’s nearby, but I had been there once before and wasn’t all that impressed in the least…
Good thing I’m not in this area too often, otherwise I’m afraid I’d go hungry.

I ordered the Feta Spinach omelette which can be hit or miss depending… this time it was moist and not dry so it was excellent! I ordered American fries with onions as well and they were excellent too. The only downside was the waitress never came around to ask how everything was and I didn’t see her again until after I was finished eating. This was not an issue however, because my food was fine and another employee was filling people’s coffee!

Stopped in again for breakfast. They were full, but were seated in a few minutes. Had our coffee in a short time and the food was served five minutes after our order. Clean place, great waitress service, a huge plate of food and a VERY reasonable price for three people. Could not ask for anything more !

Good food with decent service. Variety of food. Great breakfast menu. Good pies. Service can be an issue when really busy.

By far the best family restaurant in Beaver Dam, and surrounding area! Food is always great, and service is excellent. I would recommend Sunview to anyone!

Very Blah!
Place wasn’t that clean, bathrooms were disgusting. We wanted to leave before ordering but didn’t want to be rude. Food was so-​so and if it wasn’t for a good location next to 151 this place wouldn’t survive

Service was terrible. Waited over a half-​hour for our meals, said they lost the ticket. Order was incorrect. Notified the manager who did nothing about it. Food served was poor. Never coming back. Dine at your own risk.

We came here for a late breakfast Sunday.
Everything on the menu looked really good. Looks can be deceiving .
I ordered a spinach and feta omelet of which was dry and had no flavor, and the hash round, although hot had a lot of cold spots in them, like they were microwaved.
I got plenty to eat, just wish the food was better.

Was here quite a few years ago, shortly after they first open. Food sucked and the service was even worse.
Fortunately they have drastically improved on both ends. Had one of their basket burgers — pretty good.

I give Sunview three stars because my wife loves there vegetable skillet. Nothing seems to stand out for me. Service is average. Typical family restaurant. Prices are good.

We’ve eaten here many times, usually for breakfast. In the past when we’ve gone for breakfast on the weekends it’s usually extremely packed, the service has been good and the food is decent as well. Probably one of our favorite weekend breakfast stops. It’s a typical family restaurant and there’s really nothing to make me rate it over 3 stars (A-​OK).
Last night we tried it for dinner on a bit of a whim I guess. We’re vegetarians, so our options were limited. I had a salad, baked potato and veggies. My wife had a Caesar Salad and a potato. Was all pretty good, the salad dressing came in a bag, though. Nothing quite says «less than 4 stars» like getting your salad dressing in a bag :)
Great little family style restaurant if that’s what you’re looking for. We’ll probably stick to mostly breakfasts, though.

Looks a lot nicer on the inside than I expected. Service is quick and friendly. Décor and atmosphere are really pleasant. Prices are reasonable. Was really happy with the food. This is the best sit down restaurant I’ve been to in Beaver Dam thus far.

OK, first of all this place is south of HWY33 behind the Shell Travel Mart. It sits in the same area as Walkers and Benvenuto’s. So you have your pick of three restaurants here. Walker’s is the original for this area and has been here for decades. I had never been to Sunview and decided to give it a try.
It’s a family restaurant and in some ways it puts other family restaurants to shame. The entire place is very clean and they have a good vibe. The servers all seem happy and there are pictures on the wall of friends and family but not cluttered. Seemed very organized and well run.
The menu is quite large. More selection than I care for. Breakfast served all day, 7 days a week. Prices are cheap to moderate. Definitely a good deal on everything we ordered, Meatloaf, chicken, burger.
Our main dishes were all very good and super hot when served which is a big plus. They have a unique type of french fry that was done perfectly and quite good. The burger was huge and of good flavor but not quite over the top for me. The meatloaf was good, the chicken just ok.
Skip the coffee and desert. Basic café desert and the coffee is typical «Wisconsin weak» and odd tasting.
So great friendly service with some pretty good food for a good price and with great atmosphere. But they lost ground with us as the food didn’t quite do it for us on flavor and they need to improve some of their side dishes and the coffee. Really about a 3.5 but I have to hand it to them for their cleanliness and orderliness. Very nice restaurant inside. So I go with the 4.

Friendly service, great oatmeal

Local diner which could be OK but the food here is really not worth the detour: greasy and everything feels and tastes cheap. Go for an upgrade and walk across the street to Walkers for usual diner fares of much better quality or if you are in the mood for Italian food go to Benvenuto’s instead, granted Benvenuto’s will set you back a few more bucks.
