The bagels here are great! I had an everything bagel with egg and cheese, and it was delicious! Several of us went and got breakfast sandwiches, which came out pretty fast. The atmosphere is really casual. Lots pf seating. Perfect for a quick morning stop after drinking the night before! I knocked this down to three stars because I ordered coffee and I shouldn’t have. I ordered a soy latte, and the milk steamer hadn’t been cleaned. The latte tasted a little off. I couldn’t finish it. The outside of the milk steamer jugs also didn’t look clean.

Update: we have had only good experiences lately. The«smokey guys incident» appears to have been an isolated event. The women who have helped us the past two times have been friendly, competent, and fast.

I was very impressed, the bagels were nearly as good as any up north. The service was friendly but don’t go if you’re in a rush. Unfortunately, the coffee was downright bad, I think they mix up carafe because mine tasted flavored. I’ll bring my own coffee from home next time.

I am giving this establishment one star based solely on customer service, cleanliness and attitude. No one smiles or thanks the customer. The girl making the sandwiches dropped the lower part of a bagel in the trash accidentally, retrieved it quickly, and threw the paper wrapper back in the trash. When I asked if this bagel was going in my sandwich, she became defensive and belligerent, and declared that she ‘did not retrieve it from the trash’ & produced a large bag that she said she removed from the trash. I was 2 – 3 ft from her so it was not difficult to see. She made loud disclaimers of my statement as she and the male attendant whispered and laughed. As I observed this behavior, I began to realize that I did not want to eat what they prepared for me and requested a refund. The cashier complied, and robotically handed me my refund. I have been in business for many years and worked with the public, and this is not how to handle an ugly situation if you want customers to return!

We stopped by this place before heading to Charleston. We wanted something somewhat quick since we were on our way. This seemed to fit the bill. My hubby got the traditional breakfast sandwich with sausage, egg, and cheese. & I got and everything bagel with lox. They were both delicious! And they serve coffee drinks there too. The bagels were great, some what on the chewy side but they were a great option for us on the go! I highly recommend you check it out if you’re ever in Beaufort.

This place was a great find! Also little bagel store with a great staff. Food was great and they gave a generous portion of Lox. Will differently make this a stop on future visits.

The best bagels in town, and amazing coffee as well. Found a hair in my cream cheese once which was gross, but hopefully that was a one-time accident, as this place is pretty clean. Not worth freaking out over because the bagels are that good.

Awesome food, great prices, ok atmosphere. All kinds of bagel sandwiches. All kinds of bagels and cream cheeses made here. Varieties of coffee. The bagel chips were a nice touch, too. Only complaint: blaring country music radio :-P

Best bagels in Beaufort! Daily breakfast and lunch specials, tons of ways to customize your bagel or sandwich, home made cream cheeses, and King Bean coffee. Awesome specialty sandwiches as well. My personal go to is Taylor Ham Traditional double meat toasted on plain. Enjoy!

Hello NY bagels! Every time I go to Beaufort, and that’s often, after parking my car, I go here for bagels. I’ve died and gone to heaven. The best, the best. Fresh, great tasting, crisp, oh my god. I’ve had NY bagels which are great, these are right there. Cup of coffee, a bagel, and a walk down by the shore, life is good. It’s right down town on a side road. Go there, look for it, buy a bagel, take that first bite, and you will know, there is a god. What more can I say, oh yea, the staff is very friendly and will get what you want. Don’t miss this experience. PS, they have all variety. Frank G

You’ll think you died and went to NY bagel heaven! Their own bagels offer a great platform for all their luscious specialty sandwiches or you can build your own with great ingredient options including some really tasty condiments. Vegetarian, no problem… wonderful salads are offered with protein options for the carnivores and I would be remiss if I failed to mention their freshly made soups… mushroom & brie, beef barley w/vegs, roasted red pepper w/Gouda, broccoli & cheddar… all served with bagel chips! Do I really need to say more… oh, yeah, the coffee… sublime! Go! Now!

Great bagels and coffee. Sandwiches are fresh and hot. This is minor but the should give a bakers dozen on a dozen purchase. It is not the end of the world but bagel shop karma.

Palm and Moon is a great café in downtown Beaufort. A great ambience for people who want to go have a coffee or meal together, study, and they have to go options if you need to be on the run. I love their coffee, which says a lot coming from Seattle. Their iced coffees are perfect for a humid, sunny day. They have a nice selection of bagels, not so much that it is overwhelming and you can’t decide. So far I have had the cinnamon raisin, plain and everything bagels. They have different kinds of cream cheese, too. I like their bagels with cream cheese and their breakfast bagels. Staff is friendly and service is quick.

The service was mediocre and the atmosphere, at least on a Saturday is less than uplifting. They give way to much cream cheese for their dense bagels. I would try somewhere else the next time you are in Beaufort.

Chai Lattes and the breakfast egg bagels are to die for! I grew up in NY and these are the closest to NY bagels that I’ve ever had! My husband had a lunch sandwich and it was also delicious! I don’t think you could order anything bad here!

Bagels were good. BLT did not have mayo which was a let down, I didn’t know I had to specify. Not a pleasant smell, we took our food to go.

We happened up on Palm & Moon in Beaufort(thanks to the Unilocal app) on our way from Fripp Island back to Charlotte… we were in the mood for brunch but didn’t feel like a full sit-down meal. Palm & Moon to the rescue! Friendly service, a fast-casual atmosphere, moderate prices, and delicious bagels… score! I had a whole wheat bagel with lox, cream cheese, and tomato and had a cappuccino also. It really hit the spot! My husband had an everything bagel with tuna and the works. His came with a ton of homemade bagel chips. The others in our group had various bagel sandwiches and everyone seemed to enjoy. If you find yourself in Beaufort and in the mood for bagels, this is your place!

This place was alright in my opinion. Iwent in and ordered a dozen bagels. I also got a tube of their plain cream cheese and a tube of veggie cream cheese. The bagels were good and so were the cream cheeses however I’m not sure if theses were really New York styled bagels. My New Yorker uncle said they didn’t have any special New York taste to him, but he doesn’t claim to be a bagel expert either. The only problem I had with this place is that they weren’t too friendly. I was clearly placing an order for numerous people, but the lady didn’t ask if I wanted them toasted or sliced. Sheesh… even bagel chains offer that. I figured a small business owner would want to make sure that base was covered, but maybe not. Who knows, maybe they are not worried about repeat business or word of mouth.

HIGHLYRECOMMENDEDFORVISITORS GREAT bagel/sandwich place. While Unilocal reviews are scarce in the Beaufort area, I did find this place thanks to my fellow Unilocalers. It’s off the main street and unlikely to be found by accident. The bagels were outstanding and as good as any I’ve had in NY and elsewhere. They’re clearly made onsite as the whole bakery operation is right behind the counter. Very friendly staff and decent prices. Only downside: Not a big fan of the coffee served in thermoses but it wasn’t bad. Will be back when back in the area.
