This place is amazing, since we are local it is walking distance from home which is nice. Hummus is made fresh and amazing! Cheese and fruit plate are recommended as well. Owner run and operated. Great selection of wine! A must go, west end of Main Street, close to train if visiting from NYC.

Spacious & romantically rustic, cozy space. The bar manager is wonderful, helped us select wines & they have live music at nights. Perfect place for a drink before dinner in this weekend getaway town.

Absolutely HORRIBLE service and wine! Upon entering the establishment I was not greeted by the owners that were behind the bar. When I asked for the owner to explain the menu he answers«I can’t». The wine is nothing special. No customer service at all and the owner was rude. Like a dog he wasn’t house trained with manners. I do not plan on coming back but I do intended to share my awful experience with others so they do not go there. Save your time and money.

RUDESERVICE, RUDERUDERUDE… Waited a half hour for a glass of wine. Well… For starters I was born and raised in beacon. My mom always goes to chill and raves about it. I live in NYC now, and I am a server, so my expectations may be a bit high. BUT… I met my mom and a few others there on a Saturday night at 9 after having an amazing experience at the Beacon Brewery. I sat down, and was prepared to order the«flight» of wind, and the cheese plate and hummus for myself. No service for 10 minutes. I go to the bar and ask the waitress/manager if I could order a glass of wine to which she replies«I’m really busy come back later»…um, excuse Me? So I politely sit down, and make eye contact with her several times, with no response. I see another waitress, and let her know I had been waiting for 15 minutes, she ignores me. After 25 minutes of waiting I see that she has served all of the 15 people in the whole place, including tables and bar customers that walked in well after me. I go to the bar again and ask for a drink and she says«I’m really busy.» I understand. I am a server, but in no way was she flustered or I felt bad. There is limited food there, and only 15 guests were there in total. She finally came over after a HALFHOUR of sitting there and I told her I tried to be patient but I had been waiting for a half hour with no response. No apology from her, oh no. Just the old«I was busy,» to which I replied she had taken care of EVERYONEELSE… I got an eye roll in return. Little did she know that the brewery in beacon, I had two beers, and because of the amazing service, I tipped the bartender $ 10, because it is just an appreciation thing. It will take a miracle for me to return. In my opinion, with all the competition in Beacon, stay away from Chill. Sorry.

Great place! Very nice wines beers selection and very comfortable and cosy atmosphere. Big surprise was the food — you can get an entire dinner there! Panini and home made humus are the best ever! Definitely a place to go inBeacon.

Great vibe and atmosphere. In house made Sangria is amazing!!! You can’t beat the hummus and flat bread made fresh as soon as you order it. The cheese spread is amazing and the man working behind the bar is extremely friendly and polite. I have nothing bad to say about this place, its a great place to go relax and enjoy the Beacon are and have some wine/cheese/hummus. I don’t understand why there would be any negative reviews! Stop in after 5pm and«chill».

Kindof a dive bar trying to be a wine bar. The divey part is mostly the sticky floors and pitch dark atmosphere, and the Pier 1 Imports style furniture and pillows etc. including some tables on an elevated platform. it’s kindof an awkward mix. They have a nice selection of beers but the wine selection way too, very pricey for the quality. For all things, they were nyc prices(not from Beacon so maybe this is normal) but the wine was headache-inducing bad. The panini was ok, nothing spectacular. But not bad but for $ 12 I’d hoped for something a little better. The owner served us and was nice enough. But I can’t get behind such poor ambiance and poor quality wine unless it’s an actual cheapo dive. If I’m back in beacon, I’d try another spot.

Great spot! Nice date or group hang out. Solid selection of wine and a good bottle beer selection. Good tapas and nibbles. Awesome interior, grab the wrap around couch in the window if you can. Watch Beacon go by as you relax with tasty adult bevs.

People give me such polar opposite opinions of this place. It’s usually about the service, so I’ll stick to my personal experiences. Usually there is only one person working the whole space so that can be tough. It can be stuffy at times too. One time on a slow night we were kicked out for«closing» even though it was far from closing time. Atmosphere is beautiful. Great artwork and décor. Sat nights they do live jazz which is always nice to relax to. Selection of wine and beer isnt bad, but I would personally love to see more creativity. Either with the drinks or maybe their food, since it’s small and not very exciting. We will go back for the music and the scene, but leaving quickly to find something more exciting wouldn’t be hard to do!

Has potential. Was a little disappointed the glass of wine was overpriced. I really believe they have potential for the area with a little more tweeking, marketing, promoting and increased ambiance.

Nope. The worst. Wine is cheap but not good. Fruit flies everywhere. Cheese platters nothing but a pile of stale naan. Also it looks like pottery barn threw up in there. And the music is like ear knives. Save yourself the disappointment and go across the street and buy a real bottle of wine.

My boyfriend and I heard some good jazz music, while walking down the Main St. on «Second Saturday Beacon». We saw that the music was coming from Chill wine bar– and decided to walk in, and took a seat at the bar. My boyfriend had taken out a $ 20 bill and placed it on the bar.(hoping that maybe this would elicit some acknowledgment.?) We listened to this young talented group of musicians– enjoying the music, but waiting and hoping to be acknowledged, and eventually for someone to take our drink order. We sat there for a good 15 – 20 minutes, no acknowledgment, no bartender, no waiter, waitress, nothing. There is absolutely no excuse for this. WE walked out-and we will not return.inexcusable.wow.

With the exception of the pretty bad décor, I wouldn’t even know where to start really in describing how ineffectual it is, Chill Wine Bar does live up to its name. A good place to grab a drink in Beacon and get a cheese plate. We opted for the cheese and meat platter. I doubt anywhere else for $ 13 it’s possible to get so much cheese and meat. We were provided with at least 5 different cheeses and 5 different meats and olives and sundried tomatoes and hot bread. One cheese/meat platter is practically a full meal for two. The sangria, although it could have used more fruit was pretty good.

OK… its NOT Napa Valley… but this cute wine bar is always packed on Saturday nites(JAZZNITES) and as a people watcher… it is usually a kaleidoscopic view of all ages, races, temperments and wine loves! They have a minimalist food selection… but its a WINEBAR, so few tidbits are all I tried and the fare was just fine! Signage is less than optimal… if you aren;t sure where to go… you can follow the crowd and often they are waiting on the sidewalk for a spot! I’ve not had a bad experience… but I agree, on occasion the service is unpredictable. Come meet me tonite — then we can collectively Unilocal!
