Their glazed cronut was out of this world delish! Their glazed donut was average, but they had a huge selection of baked goods and pastries. Can’t wait to go back and try something new

We keep coming back to this bakery for elephant ears! They are so good, it’s hard to stop eating them! I haven’t tried any other baked goodies there. They also have a selection of organic teas to my surprise. I love this bakery!

My family has been coming to this bakery for 20 years. I was just in and the young employees in the back were smacking each other with long loaves of bread. How unsanitary and unprofessional. Very disappointed and won’t be back.

Not bad. They used to be better! The baked goods look as if there is a new baker. The elephant ears, are the big draw here and they are the same as always. You can watch them being made in the window beside the coffee shop.

The treats here are so good. The elephant ears are by far, my favorite. I would give this place 5 stars, but the teenagers that work here have a real bad attitude. Chill out, kids. Be thankful you have jobs.

Have never had something here that I disliked. Today we got an assortment of cupcakes, donuts, and crumb cake. All were so fresh and wonderful. Been coming back for years.

This place has been a staple of my life, and has managed to stay exactly the same forever — and that’s a wonderful thing. I have never been able to find an «Elephant Ear» anywhere else, but they are now $ 5 instead of the $.75 they were back in the day. Whatever the price, they’re worth it. As if the Elephant Ear couldn’t be topped, their white crème doughnuts continue to be confectionery works of art. The only downside is that they don’t make enough to meet the demand. The last time I was there, another woman had just asked for them and had been denied because they had run out, which led to a whole conversation of our personal histories of and the importance of keeping enough of those heavenly creations in stock. A must if you’re visiting the Island or if you’re a full time resident.

Great selection and quick service. The cinnamon roll was big enough to share. Kids cupcakes that resembled certain characters from everyone’s PBS street. The elephant ears were tempting and will be a must on our next visit.

Errmagerd errephent errrsss!!! Seriously! Elephant ears are the deal! This bakery has it all and you can only find this one-of-a-kind place at Long Island Beach, NJ. The cupcakes are a delight and the cakes(my gosh man!) are a sweet-tooth’s dream come true. Dont forget to come for breakfast as well. I tried their Croissant Egg-White sammich and the saddest part was i didnt order more food. Located at the awesome Bay Village, you cant miss it and the staff are all awesome people. Why are you still reading this??? GOTHERENOW!!!

Didn’t try the elephant ears, but did get a key lime tart and a blueberry/cheese danish. Key lime was excellent and the blueberry was OK, but I have had better. Maybe it was because it was later in the evening and it had been sitting in the case all day?

We went in for the Elephant ears. I had no idea what elephant ears were, until I saw them. Giant flaky buttery crumbly cookies the size of dinner plates… that’s what elephant ears are. And where else in the world would you find such an item? Not anywhere on LBI other than this adorable bakery. You must stop in and grab an ear… Just one, you can split it!

For Julia Child’s 100th birthday, our vacation party decided to bake a French dinner in her honor. For dessert, we decided we just wanted to buy some Eclairs and Napoleons, but none of the bakeries on LBI had French pastries except for the Crust and the Crumb. This was quite a hike since we were staying on the opposite side of the Island, but the Unilocal reviews convinced us the trek would be well worth it. The inside wasn’t fancy, but it smelt of sugary delights. The selection was just the right amount of overwhelming. All the reviews told us to try the Elephant Ears. A sign informed us that they are a French pastry as well, so we ordered one along with our Éclairs and Napoleons. The staff wasn’t the friendliest. But the place wasn’t busy and we appreciated getting in and out quick considering our small journey there. Elephant Ears: Delicious and light. Buttery and sticky pastry with just a hint of cinnamon. There is no way one person could finish this tasty but massive dessert in their own. Éclairs: Extremely rich, but delectable. I’m no éclair expert, but these were great in my books. The custard made the dessert a little heavy, but I still enjoyed this rich classic. Napoleon: I’d never had one of these, but I’d definitely try it again. This one was like a vanilla tiramisu, but a little lighter on the crust layers and a little heavier with the cream layers. Very rich and impossible for one person to eat alone as well! I’d definitely try this bakery out if you are searching for a cannoli or cupcake instead of the traditional summer time island sweets.

Somehow, it’s only fitting to begin and end our LBI food fest with elephant ears. The cinnamon and brown sugar-dusted fried dough is a county fair/Jersey bakery staple, but the ears reach Frisbee proportions at the Crust & Crumb Bakery in Beach Haven.(See my pic next to an IPad to get a gist of it’s size) Elephant ears are crunchy, flaky, sweet, cinnamon-y and absolutely irresistible. I love them for dessert and even the next morning with coffee. Beware though, with high humidity they will tend to lose their crispyness. The jelly donuts at Crust and Crumb are some of the best I’ve ever had. Huge, soft, yeast donuts bursting with jelly and then rolled in a cinnamon sugar coating. We recently sampled a chocolate cupcake with Nutella frosting. The cake was moist & chocolaty, the frosting was delicious, tasted more mocha than Nutella but yum all the same. Crust and Crumb is a small, famiy owned bakery that has been making their irresistible elephant ears since 1987. If you are walking around Bay Village and smell the intoxicating aroma of cinnamon, follow your nose and try an elephant ear.

This place is very good. They just need to get the help in line. Young kids that dont pay much attention to you when you order. Other than that. WONDERFUL
