PROS: They have a $ 10 special on Monday and Tuesdays that scores you a large plain pie and six garlic knots! Perfect for when you’re craving, but feeling particularly cheap. Always arrives at my doorstep in 20 – 25 mins. CONS: Super greasy. I would not pay more than $ 10 for said pizza pie, nor would I order anything else from their menu given the other options in the immediate area. As far are pizzerias go, this place is good but not great.

Pete’s Pizza is probably my favorite pizza spot on Bell Blvd. I like their pizza, even more than VIP. They have a more diverse menu, and it’s not just your typical pizzeria food. Their service is consistently good. Also, I like that they take card and not just cash only.

Delivery was on time but food was not what I expected. Pizza was not great and the garlic knots where not good. Could not eat them. Deal sounds good but wasn’t worth it for me.

I order from here all of the time. I placed a grub hub order tonight at 7:13 pm for a family package and my order just got here cold. Over an hour and a half for cold pizza, warm ho twinges and a warm soda. I called Petes three times. I called when I got the order and told them how disappointed I was in this particular order and all I got was a «you’re right». I know I’m right! $ 24 for cold pizza. Never again. The guy on the phone did t know who the delivery guy was, where he was, or what was taking him so long. Maybe on a Saturday night you can pay a few more delivery guys. The delivery guy was not pleasant to boot. I’ll never too on grubhub again. Only when I get the food and it’s hot as it should be. Rant over.

It’s hard not to compare this with the close-by VIPizza, but they’re really two different beasts. VIPizza is a pizzeria — that’s all they sell. Pete’s is still a pizzeria, but with overtones of also being an Italian/Greek restaurant. The menu is very diverse. Although I prefer the pizza at VIPizza, if I had to go somewhere for dinner, I would much prefer to go to Pete’s because a) the pizza is close in quality, and b) the menu has a large number of Italian and Greek offerings, from salads, to souvlaki, to heros, to pasta dishes. I only had two slices of pizza here, and that’s what I’ll be reviewing. Being a pizza restaurant as opposed to a pizzeria, the store is more comfortable and pleasant than an old-school pizzeria like VIPizza. Staff is very friendly. Place looks clean. On to the pizza. Regular Slice: B+ I would call the pizza at Pete’s «old school Neapolitian NYC pizza». I could easily see getting pizza like this from one of the better pizzerias when I was in high school in the 80’s. Tasteless cheese has become common in cheap NYC pizza, but the cheese here is high quality, fresh, and has that strong dairy mozzarella flavor. The tomato sauce, on one hand, was nice and punchy with a strong tomato flavor, but on the other hand, was just a little too sweet for my liking. I’m not fond of sweet tomato sauces — I like my tomato sauces raw, dynamic, punchy, very tomatoey, but without the slightest trace of sweet. The tomato sauce here mostly fits the bill except it’s a little on the sweeter side. Ratio of tomato sauce to cheese is perfect. Ratio of cheese to crust is extremely good. The under crust is great. I prefer slightly less crunchy crust, but this crust was fine. The pizza did crack somewhat when I folded it, but not overly so. The outer crust was slightly fluffy — I prefer a smaller, slightly more dense outer rim crust, however, I want to emphasize that it’s nowhere near the monstrosity crust you’d see at an abomination like Domino’s or Pizza Hut. Overall, an excellent pizza. As mentioned, VIPizza has slightly better pizza, but for a meal, I’d prefer to come to Pete’s for the sheer diversity of the menu and the fact that the pizza here is quite excellent as well. White Slice(Pizza Blanca): A– See my comments in the Regular Slice about the crust and cheese — they apply here. Additionally, the ricotta was magnificent. There was quite a lot of it, but not too much. They got the ratio just right. The ricotta tasted fresh and complimented the pizza magnificently.

I promise to not be mean. I just had a very unenjoyable dinner. Two different kinds of wings, chicken Caesar pizza, and french fries. The French fries were barely warm, mushy and a little under seasoned. They were the best part. The mild buffalo wings had very little flavor. The«sticky» sweet and sour wings were in a sauce that lacked any flavor. The pizza… I don’t think they made the bread. If they did, they should be ashamed. It looked and tasted like it was pre-made and freezer stored. Who ever made it, it wasnt fresh. It was very bad. The toppings were lettuce, chicken, crutons, and an unlimited amount of Caesar dressing. They were never pre-tossed, just individually added. So, I won’t be going back.

I usually order the pastas here and I’ve came here several times during the past 1 – 2 years? One of the servers Olga, is very welcoming and remembers her customers. It’s always a pleasant experience when my family eats here because this place has that friendly neighborhood vibe. Their buffalo wings are delicious and huge, it has a really appetizing buttery fragrance that all buffalo wings should have. Calamari is given in huge portions as well. Don’t really order the pizzas here after I had their pasta. Usually get the liguine in white clam sauce. They revamped it too, in the past they used to pile on a lot of clam pieces but now they put actual clams in the shell mixed with the pasta – the result is a more sweeter and fresh dish. They serve hot toasted bread and a salad for entrees, the type of salad they serve is like a greek vinaigrette salad with olives, tomatoes, etc. Overall this place is one of my go-tos because they give big portions, good service, and delicious food.

Coming here for over 30 years. They never disappoint. We drive in from Glen Cove when we need a fix of Pete’s Salad and grilled chicken plate. Our waitress Olga has been here for almost the same amount of time. Remembers our special requests. They have a wheel you can spin to get free«stuff»!!

I placed an order to be delivered and was told it would be 30 – 40 minutes. An hour later the food arrived. The driver must have been speeding as the pizza cheese had slid to one side of the pie. I also ordered a side of spaghetti and asked to have the sauce on the side, I was told that’s how it comes. When I opened the container the sauce was on the spaghetti! Very disappointed!

We have been coming here for four years. My kids love the pizza and pasta over here. Food is extremely good value for money. It always seems fresh. In addition to food, the sole sever at this place — Olga — must be amongst the most considerate wait staff. Our go to place despite a 7mile drive, if we need a quick and good meal with friendly vibes.

My boyfriend and I went to Pete’s Pizzeria & Restaurant to pick up a large Margherita pie and mozzarella sticks that we had ordered on the phone for pick-up to eat with his mom, sister, and nephew. This pizza spot was laid out/appeared like a mini pizza restaurant. There weren’t too many customers when I went in to pick which was a Sunday afternoon. Honestly, the pizza didn’t look too appetizing. I’ve seen better versions of the Margherita pizza. This one seemed very different. I actually didn’t enjoy the pizza too much because it had an odd smell to it and didn’t taste very good either. The mozzarella sticks weren’t bad slightly better than the pizza, but it was a bit salty. I haven’t tried too many pizzerias in Queens, but in my opinion I don’t think I would be back here again since the pizza didn’t really seem or taste appealing.

Been going there for 20 years… Best souvlaki on the planet!!! Smaller portion now, but that keeps the price down. And Olga is also the best.

This is the 3rd time changing my review. My order was perfectly delivered and how I have missed their garlic knots. 1 star for their rude delivery man. I specifically asked them to call me when the delivery arrived but nope. I open the door and he’s holding the delivery and tells me to take it out of the«pizza bag» myself. My order is $ 25. I hand him $ 30 and he’s about to walk away without even bothering to give me any change. Are you kidding me… ?! Delivery took more than 45 min when I live a 5 min drive away and after being so rude, he expects a $ 5 tip. Who the hell are you guys hiring nowadays? Needs a complete attitude change.

I’m giving two stars because the pizza is not so bad but after my experience with their eggplant parm I will never order anything but pizza from here. The eggplant was absolutely the worst I have ever had. The pieces were old and clearly frozen for God knows how long. The breading was excessive and very very limited amount of sauce with just cheese plopped on top to cover the mess beneath. Seriously tastes horrible!

Don’t let the low reviews fool you, I love this place and here’s why: The pizza is fantastic(see Rashid M. and Al N.‘s reviews for pictures — I should have thought to take pictures but I couldn’t resist eating it as soon as I opened the box), it’s not expensive, and they deliver very quickly. I’ll start my review with the food since I’m sure that’s what you’d be most curious about in reading reviews on Unilocal.;) I got an 18″ plain pie for $ 13.95 so with my weekly Eat24 $ 2 coupon* code, I only paid $ 11.95(excluding tax and tip). For that price, I got a great tasting Neopolitan pizza with generous amounts of cheese melted perfectly on top. Aside from their fabulous pies, they also have an extensive non-pizza menu ranging from Grape Leaf Salads to Fried Calamari appetizers to Wraps, Heros, Pastas, Burgers, Gyros, Tiramisu(mmm. tiramisu… :)) and everything else in between. I’m sure you’ll find something to please even the pickiest of eaters in your group. Like I mentioned earlier, I ordered a large pie as soon as I got back from work tonight(Friday Netflix night) through Eat24 and was expecting to wait a while because in my experience, I’ve always waited a minimum of 45 mins to an hour and 15 but not here; I got mine delivered in 30 minutes, that’s the fastest delivery time I’ve ever experienced. *In case you’re not on the Eat24 bandwagon, I highly suggest you try it if you like saving money. Sure, I have GrubHub too, but they only throw me a discount once in a blue moon. Eat24 emails me a code every week. Just log on to Eat24(they have an app too) and order once. In return, they’ll reward you with coupons once a week.

I actually walked in with an old buddy of mine to get a slice of pizza and soda for old time sake and the rest was history. I checked in on Unilocal and saw a deal for a whole pie with garlic knots and they had me at hello. We then went to town on the menu. There are very few food locations on Bell where we can rack up the tab in mid 20’s and eat like a king. We could have stopped at the whole pie and knots but we just couldn’t help ourselves. The food was delicious!

Service is slow, even for a pickup. The pizza isn’t even really all that great. I should have been in and out in less than a minute considering there was no line and I called ahead but NOOOO it still took a while and when I got back to my car which was literally right in front of the restaurant I had a nice parking ticket waiting for me. The ticket was issued exactly one minute from the time that I arrived back at my car. Had the service been quick I would have been well on my way. That was the most expensive visit to a pizzeria I’ve ever had.
