Very nice small town coffee shop. Coffee was very good. Service was excellent. Staff was super friendly and explained items on their menu. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting the area.

Very enjoyable food, their lattes are amazing as are their baked goods. I got a scone and honey latte and both were excellent.

When in Bayfield and you need a coffee and a scone, stop at Big Water. They also have roasted pounds of coffee and roast on site. The sitting room is pleasant, quiet, and has plenty of reading material to pass the time with.

Love the honeybee latte, sugarbush latte and cold fusion. All three are delicious. Great environment for relaxing before a day out in Bayfield.

Big Water is yet to fail me. Coffee is excellent. Pastries are great. The coffee shop vibe is on point. Hang out inside and hook up to the wifi or snag a seat outside and enjoy people watching in Bayfield.

Stopped here for breakfast and it was great! My husband said it was the best cup of coffee he has ever had, even better than Starbucks. Cinnamon muffin and chocolate chip lavender scones were fresh and full of flavor. We will be back!

We stopped in on our way out of town for the weekend. Very cool coffee shop with great branding. I wish we had more time to hang out. They have great t-​shirts and mugs for sale. I’m a bit of a brand geek as its what I do for a living so the strong brand was much appreciated and well thought out.
Oh and the coffee was good! Very good latte!

This is a great coffee stop, perfect for coffee snobs and amateur coffee drinkers like me. I tried the Lavender Mocha and was a little skeptical but the friendly cashier told me it was pretty popular with those who ordered it. (It was great!!! A unique flavor that I would happily order again.)
I like that they make it a point to use local products like milk and honey. I also like that they don’t have a huge overwhelming selection.
I have seen this place very busy, probably because they have a great seating area, but it’s a nice place for a little break when you’re in town and need one, too! We visit here whenever we are in Bayfield and walking around town.

This place is one of the cutest coffee shops I’ve ever been to. Every time I come to Bayfield, I always stop in and grab one of their delicious specialty coffees and some beans. The design is beautiful, clean, and simple. And the service is friendly. The specialty drinks are all AMAZING. The Sugarbush Latte with local maple syrup is the bomb dot com. And on a hot day, the Cold Fusion is perfect. If you’re in Bayfield and have a hankering for coffee, definitely give this place a look.

You guys. YOU GUYS. This place roasts & serves *excellent* espresso drinks. My sister and I kidnapped our mom for her 60^th birthday, and had plans to spend two days in the Bayfield, WI area, enjoying the shore of Lake Superior. We stayed at a local B&B, spent a day on Madeleine Island, shopped at the cute shops, etc. And this coffee shop was one of our most favorite (& surprise!) highlights of the trip. Treat yourself to a Sugar Bush latte (latte with local maple syrup) or to a Lavender Mocha (using their house-​made lavender infused mocha sauce). You won’t regret it! We visited four times in two days! :) The only bummer to the situation? I can’t go back whenever I want to.

Grabbed a couple of latte’s before our trip to Madeline Island and we were treated to delicious and hot beverages. I had the honey infused latte and my wife had the hazelnut latte. Ambiance is comfortable and the bicyclist’s were in force getting their caffeine fix!

I think Big Water may be one of the most perfect coffee shops I’ve visited.
Hyperbolic? Perhaps. But just sample their coffees, teas, and bites and you’ll be converted as well.
Located in downtown Bayfield, just a few blocks from the shore of Lake Superior, you’ll find Big Water. You may actually smell the roasted coffee bean aroma before you see the shop. Yep, they roast their own beans right on site!
While I can’t drink too much coffee these days, I indulge in sips of the BF’s cups and get high off of the aromas. And damn, Big Water is amazing. I had their chai, which was easily one of the best chai tea lattes I’ve had. The balance of spices was perfect. We also snacked on one of the famed scones. It too was amazing.
And the shop itself? Plenty of room to relax, chat with friends, get some homework or paperwork done, or just simply to check out the neat artwork on the walls.
Big Water has it all: ambiance, fantastic staff, amazing location, and fabulous coffees and pastries. What more needs to be said? Oh, that you can order their beans online! If you love coffee, take a chance and do it. You won’t regret it!

This little coffee shop had great ambiance and not to mention the hot and cold vanilla lattes that my friend and I bought were delicious! It was pretty busy when we went but we were helped almost right away and received our coffees soon after paying. I have no reason not to give this local Bayfield coffee shop 5 stars!

I want this coffee house in my neighborhood!!! The owner is a doll, the décor is awesome (LOVE LOVE LOVE the color on the walls in the sitting room), and the coffee and sweets are deeeeeeelicious. And the restrooms are clean and roomy. The only drawback is that it’s about 7 and a half hours away from my house in Chicago! Open one here, please! :)

Love love love Big Water coffee shop. My favorite place in the whole world to sit and drink coffee. And it is fantastic coffee! I only use the Sumatran for my own personal use. I buy it at the shop or order online.
You must have a scone to go with your coffee! YUMMMMM!
I love this place. The atmosphere is relaxed and casual and you feel like one of the cool kids sitting by the window with your latte. :) I visit every 4 – 5 weeks!

We stumbled into this coffee shop on our drive around apostle islands lakeshore, and it was awesome. We drink Intellegentsia back home and have been going through a bit of caffeine withdrawal so to speak– and these guys roast some pretty bomb diggity beans.
The pumpkin chocolate chip bread was pretty tasty as well.
So yes, if you are looking for a cozy/​hip/​caffeinated place to stop– please do so!

What?! Good coffee in small town Wisconsin? This place has great coffee, but seriously, get a scone to go with it. Sooo good. Lavender Chocolate Chip? SOLD. Their marketing, logos, décor, etc. are all spot on. Its all just adorable. The service was okay– no one seemed super chatty or overly friendly, but I’d certainly come back here again!
