Very nice and welcoming staff! Their lattes are really good– always a treat! Although I haven’t had their pastries, the muffins look super delicious! I also love coming here because it’s in the same shopping plaza as my dentist so it’s super convenient!

Love this establishment… Freindly staff and the muffins are like none other! Try the cinnamon! My favorite coffee is the Latte with and extra shot! Good stuff reasonable price too! The plaza is wonderful as well.

I really want to like Java Bay and give jt a high rating, but for me the coffee was rather ordinary. It’s a small, independent neighborhood coffee shop, which I love. There is some seating here, coffee is available, along with some amazing looking muffins and pastries! Cash only, credit cards not accepted.

Java Bay– how do I begin. As I sat down to try to enjoy my watered down iced coffee, I heard a very ridiculous phone call go on behind the counter with who seemed to be a manager or owner of some sorts– either way, this person was of some importance. Being a salesperson of 25 years, I have come to understand sales is more of an opportunity for both parties– listen before you hang up. This person behind the counter answered the phone saying«Java Bay, we are extremely busy, is this call of any importance?(WHAT?! no one was in line or waiting for service at this point). They immediately said«We don’t accept sales calls of any kind, nor free samples.» and hung up. Lets just say I wont be revisiting Java Bay. Owning a small convenience store/coffee shop of my own, we thrive on gaining new product knowledge and trying new products through free samples of companies contacting us. Sounds like Java Bay is at a loss, and is being run by some old fashioned pricks who allow their employees to treat human beings such as this.

Java Bay has a wide variety of delicious and exotic teas and coffees, and delicious, fresh pastries made right there. The atmosphere is fantastic as well, but I’m a bit biased. I am a regular and go all the time with my friends and try something different every time. I have never regretted a choice of beverage from Java Bay. The coffee alone is lovely, flavorful, and beats Starbucks’ burned flavor by a mile. The cold drinks are great too, especially when it’s hot outside. It’s also easy to get to if you live nearby. It’s definitely a place worth visiting.

This is the Sybyl of coffee shops. One personality provides a nice selection of coffee and reated drinks and simple, delicious selection of sweets. The other proffers expensive and uninspired lunch fare. Don’t bother with lunch. $ 5.50 gets you gummy, store bought bread and cold cuts. The«tuna salad» was tinned tuna with a touch of mayo. Snore. You could make a better one at home. Or you could hit the Subway next door. No chips, no pickle, nada. The coffee, however was fresh and high quality. My café au lait was great. My daughter’s muffin was dense with a lot of flavor, as opposed to mere sweetness. My cookie was rich with the taste of brown sugar, vanilla and chocolate. They also have scones, bagles and biscotti. They say that they bake their own muffins, scones and cookies daily. This is mostly true. They get the batter ready made from an Akron company, and bake a fresh new batch every few hours. So yeah, num! They were better than the cookies and muffins at Starbucks or Carabou. Atmosphere– eh not really. It’s a small, mostly take out place. The owner and staff are really nice, and all their customers seem to be regulars. I would stop in again before work to get a scone and a cuppa.
