Po’boy Express is my favorite poboy shop around! The NY cheesesteak poboy is amazing. Their onion rings are the best in Baton Rouge in my opinion. This location is pretty old, but the food rocks. They have a drive-thru, just don’t expect it to be fast. They make everything to order. Did I mention that they carry fried pickles, fried mushrooms, cheese sticks, and fries? I’ve not had anything bad here!

Pretty sick but it’s not bad for the price. I mean it’s like on the same level as sonic but in its own style

Really tasty every time I order, but I wish their poboys came with fries because you have get both fries and drink separate! I’ve been ordering poboys from here for years and never had a bad experience. The shrimp poboy is to die for and their fries are delicious and thick cut!

I like this place cause they can mix up the ingredients in the poboys. I usually get the shrimp and oyster combo. They have really good fried mushrooms and onion rings too.

This was my first time eating at Po-boy Express. I live right around the Corner and I’ve always wanted to see what it was about since there is always so much traffic in the parking lot. Welp! I got what I wanted! I tried the shrimp poboy with a side if onion rings(more like strings). The poboy was really good but a little dry on the condiment side. The onion rings were actually pretty good, plus they throw in their homemade onion sauce which can be added to the poboy to enhance the flavor.

Drive thru po boys? Who doesn’t love that. My husband raves about their catfish poboy. He had the shrimp the other day and said it wasn’t as good. I’m in love with their fries okra. As for myself, I try to steer clear of fried food. Everyone else in my family seems to enjoy it. The kids burger is huge! Although, I found it to be a little pricey for a kids meal. My other gripe is that it’s not technically that fast of food. You should go in the restaurant instead of drive thru. It’s a waste of gas to wait by the window for atleast five minutes. It’s good for a night when you just don’t feel like cooking.

The food is always good. You can’t go wrong with their shrimp poboy with fries. The staff is always friendly. The actual restaurant is kind of dingy — wouldn’t want to have my meal there. But one of the best take-out places in town.

Just ate here the other day. How did I not know about this place before?! I loved it. Granted, I’ve had some better poboys elsewhere, but I wasn’t expecting much here… And I was wowed!

My favorite fried catfish poboy in town. The roast beef poboy w/gravy is also above average. Brewed sweet tea as well.

I was bamboozled. Misled. Lied to. One of the folks down here in Baton Rouge told me that Po-boy Express had the best poboys in town. I hope in the name of sweet baby Jesus that they are wrong. Because this place sucked. It was dirty. AND the food sucked. I got the seafood platter because it looked outstanding on the website(DON’T BEFOOLED!). It came with four slivers of catfish(which tasted very muddy), a handful of small shrimp(meh tasting), four oysters(which were actually quite tasty), a ton of shitty fries, and a «salad». I say«salad» because it was a small mound of shredded lettuce topped with a couple of leaves of iceberg and a few slices of tomatoes. I’ve had better poboys in MSY airport… and that’s scary. +1 star for the great oysters and the perfect Community sweet iced tea.

Po-boy Express has good sandwiches but that’s about it. Service is mediocre and the price is overwhelmingly high. I can’t justify paying over $ 10 for a half a po-boy, fries and a drink. The only reason I rated as high as I did is because the food is good, just over-priced and small.
