The meat is perfectly cooked, but the sauce is a bit watery/vinegary — not my favorite. I ordered the sliced chicken with green beans. The green beans were amazing. They have little bits of bacon in them, but they weren’t southern/smothered. The chicken was delicious, but I was eating it without the sauce so it wasn’t super flavorful. My guy ordered the sample platter and killed it.

Fantastic food and a pleasant laid back atmosphere. Hands down the best barbeque in town. The wife and I ignorantly went one day on a whim as we’ve heard many good things. No one told us to check their hours and regrettably they’re closed on evenings during mid week. They keep quirky hours but I suppose it’s nice to see someone able to call their own shots and open when they want to and no doubt the most profitable times for them. Check online to make sure they’re open. Anyhow we wised up and caught them open. Don’t be alarmed by a large number of cars outside. Most of these are masochists into self flagellation who mindlessly go into the mediocre over-priced(you figure it out) place next door. There was ample seating available. The atmosphere is laid back with memorabilia and numerous written accolades adorning the walls. All the different random dining tables are a nice touch. They have a bar in the back but don’t serve alcohol. Neither does Deerman’s(good luck to them) and it works ok for more seating. We had heard to try the tamales but were politely rebuffed with a sorry honey but we sold out about 1:00. We had heard a couple order some on a different time and they scored. Go early for those to make sure as they only make so many a day. The food– we have both tried the BBLTA and loved it. The smoked apples on this sandwich are unique and Good. My wife has also tried the Warren which is a wonderful smoked chicken and Genoa salami blend. The chicken is melt in your mouth juicy with great smoke flavor. My fave is the Pepper, presumably named after the late maestro of the grill, Piman. This sandwich offers the best of both with a combo of pulled pork and brisket that is incredible. I’m afraid I’ll be stuck at this point on the menu forever! Or I’ll move on to the great homemade mac and Cheese and don’t pass up the delicious cobblers for desert. That’s it, we’re going back today(early enough for tamales). Pimanyoli’s, I salute your hell with conventional scheduling and availability attitude. Power to the Pimanyoli’s!

Wanted to try something new for lunch on a Saturday and definitely not disappointed! We loved everything we had! From brisket and burgers to sweet potato fries and the mac and cheese. It was all amazing, especially the mac n cheese. Can’t wait to come back and bring friends.

I love barbeque and Pimanyoli’s does it right. While I was pregnant I discovered Pimanyoli’s and I have not looked for another BBQ place. I have never had anything on their menu that I have not liked. I usually order the BBLTA – smoked Brisket, Bacon, Lettuce, Tomato, smoked Apple slices. Don’t let the apple slices scare you away… IT’S REALLYGOOD!!! During my last visit I ordered the fried shrimp po-boy. I know, I know, I ordered fried shrimp at a bbq spot. It was good. Lightly fried, fully dressed po-boy. Loved it! I usually don’t have room for dessert, but I did once and bread pudding was the dessert of the day. You guess it… Ioved it! My only complaint about the sandwiches is that you have to order the sides separately, but other than that no worries.

UPDATE: I recently went back to get some of the brisket and it was soooooo SALTY, I literally felt sick to my stomach after trying to eat it. I thought it was a fluke and so I went back for another shot. I tried the brisket and the ribs this time, SAMETHING. SALTYSALTYSALTY. It’s inedible at this point. The ribs were just a joke. 3 ribs, all fat and not tender for $ 6.00 terrible. This is such a shame. The first time I came here I fell in love with the brisket. I brought my girlfriend and friends two other times after and NOBODY could eat the brisket due to this salt issue. PLEASESAVETHISPLACE! The brisket has such good flavor but needs over half of the salt taken out of it. I usually add salt to my food, but this is ridiculous. With the one change it could be good again, but until then… better not have any issues with salt or high blood pressure.

Saturday night: 7pm, 4 tables of customers, 2 waitresses, &1 guest who called in a to go order(me). This was my first experience with Pimanyoli’s, & I’m not sure I am going to give it a 2nd chance. I called in a to-go order & was told it would be 20 minutes to be ready. I showed up to get our food — the Sample Platter & it wasn’t yet ready, & I was 5 minutes behind the 20 minute timline. I ended up waiting 25 more minutes at the bar for the order to be brought to me. During this time, I watched the other customers — who seemed to be frustrated. They all seemed to have a long wait like I did. One couple came in & grabbed a table. It took the waitress a little while to get to them to take their drink order — 2 waters. It then took her a while to bring the drinks to them, & it was not a particularly busy evening. There were 4 other tables with customers. The couple eventually got up & left because no one every went back to check on them or take their order & it had been quite a while since their waters were dropped off. The waitresses then went to 1 of the tables, who had given their order before I walked in the door & told them they had run out of food, so they would have to pick something else — they were down to only 6 ribs in the back! The 2 waitresses then came back to the bar area where I waited & had to start calling customers who had called in orders to let them know the kitchen was out of food — what place runs out of meat when they are a BBQ joint? One of the waitresses started making frustrated comments & cussing about the circumstances in front of me — not what you’d want to show a customer… I was finally given our order(which I was about to cancel & ask for my money back when she finally brought it out). $ 19 for the Sample Platter — it was weak. I didn’t check it before I left to see the contents, but we didn’t even eat half of the food in it — which wasn’t much to start with. Definitely not worth the $ 22 I paid with tax. The chicken was not cooked through, the brisket was VERY salty. The ribs were OK, & the pulled pork was alright. Nothing that I would recommend to anyone. I was also told when I was handed our order that I had the last of the meat in the restaurant. Still really confused as to how they ran out… Oh, and we got an order of fries for good measure. I wish we hadn’t. They were very soggy & quite apparently frozen & dumped into a fryer. After reading the previous review, we are wondering if we hit Pimanyoli’s on an «off night.» But I’m really not sure I’ll be back to verify that.

Pimanyoli’s is some of the best BBQ I have had since moving back to BR. I really like the brisket, sausage, and pulled pork with their BBQ sauce on the side to dip. I usually get the meat combo plate with macaroni and cheese, potato salad, dirty rice, or beans. I also ordered their salad with grilled shrimp recently and really liked it a lot – the shrimp were a nice size and very well-seasoned. I have to say, there have been days when the service – even for to-go orders – left something to be desired, but, overall, I would recommend this spot for someone looking for decent BBQ in the area. I’m interested to try the other menu items, salads, or sandwiches, sometime in the near future.

Great BBQ but terrible service. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich and it was great. My dad and husband got the brisket sandwich and they both liked it. I’d recommend going for the food but don’t expect superior service.

The food was so good I didn’t get a chance to take a photo of it. I had the Warren which was smoked chicken with salami and cheese on a jalapeño sweet bun. Not only was everything good that restaurant has a great story. Friendly staff great owner wonderful food. Can’t wait to come back.

Finally, I was able to get into this place to try out the ribs. The hours are a little different, but well worth the hassle to try the food. I’ve been looking for a local«mom and pop» place that truly knows how to smoke ribs with a REAL dry rub. Most places around here are chain BBQ joints or grown so big that it feels like every other chain restaurant. Pimanyoli’s dry rub ribs were some of the best I’ve ever eaten. If you do want a little BBQ sauce, their own blend has a citrus yet vinegar taste that leaves you wanting more while still allowing the smoked flavor of the meat to come through. The house dressing, WOW! Had a nice fresh taste, and really complemented the meal. At the end of the night, the owner Yoli came by and talked with us for a few minutes. We were able to get to know the back story of the joint which made topped off the night. This is a great place if you’re looking for some local BBQ without the quick feel scenery. Everything I tasted was great, and don’t forget the homemade peach, or apple, cobbler with icecream.

Honestly did not expect much when I walked into Pimmanyoli’s. What kind of name is that anyway? It is in a shopping center, décor looks like it was thrown together on short notice and half of it seems to have come from the Christmas clearance rack at Michaels. Service takes a little time to come by because they are so busy at lunch time and tables turn over quickly, but trust me, it is so worth the wait! When they say they are«smoking the good stuff», they’re talking about Pimmanyoli’s BBQ. I would cut my right arm off for this stuff, but it is reasonably priced so I don’t have to! Our favorites are the brisket and pulled pork. But I haven’t had a dish here that wasn’t delish!

I was dragged here(stripmall, really?) by a BR local who insisted that this was one of the best burgers around. Since most aren’t mentioning that, I thought I’d put it out there that wow! amazing burgers… Also would recommend the macaroni & cheese and most especially the corn pudding, which was fabulous! I believe they recently sadly lost their owner-chef but we’ve been since, and it’s holding up.
