Microtel Inn & Suites Baton Rouge Airport

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the microtell inn and suites in Baton Rouge la! For $ 69 a night– what a deal! Free airport shuttle, within walking distance of several fast food restaurants. Staff very friendly– room was clean– flat screen TVs, iron and ironing board– loved the lemon scented soap! Ok breakfast — but it is free! Also flavored creamers for coffee– will stay again– congratulations management– you have met all my expectations in a hotel charging budget rates!

The owner was very hospitable upon checkin and even tho the exterior seems remodeled the inside was old and the carpets very dirty and spotty. Price was perfect for a one night stopover but upon arriving n the rm I found an earring on one of the beds and a bottle of water near one of the beds. Towels are dry and hard and the paint is cracked and peeling where the ceiling meets the walls… I was wondering if I was going to see roaches at some point.

Staff was very friendly. They gave us a good deal since we where brought by the airport FBO.
Rooms are alright. Good AC and the hot water worked for me.
The morning free breakfast was good for where it was. Everything was fresh.
Free WiFi! :) and a shuttle back to the airport.

The worst stay I have ever had. We arrived late to the hotel due to traffic. After checking in, I went up to the room for a nice hot shower. Problem was, there was no hot water. Cold shower after a 10hr car ride is no fun. Whatevers, I’ll deal with it. I woke up the next morning and walked to the bathroom. When I tried to turn on the light, it wasn’t working. As it turns out, the electricity in the entire building went out. So I had to brush my teeth and get changed in the dark. When I went to check out, the customer service representative did not even offer an apology. I would not stay at this place again.

Basic comfortable, nothing frilly, stained carpet and handle of shower fell off. Comfy beds. Close to baton rouge airport. About a 15 min drive downtown. Nice staff. Had a pleasant stay.
