Had a very pleasant customer service experience today at La Madeleine’s. There was an issue with my take-out order that I unfortunately didn’t realize til I was stuck back at my office. I called and spoke to the manager Chris– she was super nice and overly generous in making it right. The small inconvenience of having to make 2 trips there was completely worth it. Best customer service I’ve seen in a while!

Service says a lot about your establishment. Given that, this should be of top priority in guaranteeing the success of your business. I live very close to this location and it would logically be my a favorite of mine had they not given me lackluster service on more than a few occasions. I have even been tempted to drive to other locations but this area can be rather congested at dinner and lunch so I tend to find somewhere else to eat. I will periodically stop by and my visit will be fine, but they always set themselves back with another problem.

I really like coming to this place for breakfast or lunch on the weekend. Try the chicken pesto pasta for lunch It’s awesome! And if your in for breakfast you can’t go wrong with the eggs Benedict

Two bad experiences in the same week They didn’t get the to go order correct. The service was slow when no one was in there. The salads are not as fresh as I’ve had at other locations. They need to get it together. The place was filthy dirty as well

I really enjoy coming to this bistro. The food is always good. The wait staff is friendly and if they make a mistake, it’s generously fixed.

Let me start by saying how incompetent the togo/pick up order wait staff are. First, the butch lesbian is so rude and mean. Every single time it takes them an hour to make a salad sandwich and soup! Today, they left the chicken off the chicken salad. So I had to call and go back and get the chicken and no one cared. No one was sorry. It’s just ridiculous, I always have problems at this place. They are beyond slow(at the To-go). And everything is pretty much premade, the soup you just have to scoop and put in a cup and the salad is the same!!! When we drove back to get the chicken they gave us two containers only one of which was chicken. How do you forget that twice? It just seems like a bunch of kids working there, that aren’t happy about their job. An apology would be nice or a little gift card, something. Took 30 min. To wait for 2 soups, a salad, and small sandwich. And don’t forget we had to go get back to get the chicken they left out. I’m beyond appalled. Their service at the to go station had been bad at least for a year now. I live close by and go frequent and something usually happens. Not satisfied.

I come here all the time for breakfast with my family. Today it was disappointing and disgusting. I had to go through 5 coffee mugs til I found a clean one. Be sure to check for dirt, lipstick stains, etc. I had to wait at least 5 minutes at the register because there was no one to take my order or ring me up. Finally an annoyed employee that was in the kitchen cooking came to help me. He looked mad that the person that was supposed to be working the register was MIA. She showed up and finished my order. My food came out cold! 2 Americans with scrambled eggs, crispy bacon(but they burnt it) and a croissant. It usually comes with slices of tomatoes but they left them off. The eggs were wet and pale. Bacon was burnt and not crispy! The coffee was horrible. It was like clear brown water. I’m mad cuz this is why I come here!!! Two thumbs down today. I should’ve taken my $ 40 to ihop instead!!!

I like a little La Madeleine every now and then. Their salads are good. I recently had a new one with goat cheese and roasted vegetables with a pesto dressing. It was rather enjoyable. I used to get the chicken Caesar with the fat free dressing. That’s good as well. That’s about all I get from there though, hence the three stars. My husband raves about the Duet deal they offer. He always gets the chicken salad croissant and the potato soup. He loves it! It’s a little too fattening for my taste. I’m upset that they got rid of the lowfat tomato soup because it was awesome! They sell it in a jar so when I’m feeling a splurge, I’ll get some. I crave it when I have a sore throat. I like how they offer free bread slices to go with your meal. I’m not a big sweets person so I can’t vouch for their deserts. I had the strawberry Napoleon one time and it was good, just not my cup of tea. A plus is that they have a few wine selections! It’s a nice place to stop in for a quick lunch or grab something to go.

I’ve eaten at La Madeleine French Bakery & Cafes in Dallas, San Antonio, Houston and Baton Rouge and I’ve never had a bad meal at any location. This location has a friendly crew, good food and like every La Madeleine, scrumptious treats and great coffee. The Spinach Pochette, Quiche Florentine, Croissants, and Liberte’ Tarts are my favorites. The Spinach Pochette is a great picnic basket item, perfect for an outdoor brunch in the park. I suggest you grab a couple of Liberte’ tarts and fix up some Mimosa’s to complete a quick, no hassle meal. Just make sure those Mimosa’s are in plastic containers cause glass isn’t allowed at the park(no alcohol either but I won’t tell).

This place was horrible. There’s a confusing entrance — do we wait to be seated or is it a cafeteria. No one helped. My 3 companions were served and the server removed the table marker which tells them where to bring the food. All orders, French toast, Quiche Lorraine, eggs, omelet were disappointing. Too much syrup, dry quiche. Table nearby being bussed sounded like artillery. Waitress wiped crumbs into the chairs. I wish we’d gone to Hardee’s!

This is the worst La Madeleine I have ever been to. The staff seemed stoned out of the minds. The French Onion soup had no onions. La Madeline should send someone from their headquarters for a surprise visit. The La Madeleine’s on Bluebonnet is the one to go to for great service and french onion soup.

The food was good, very good. Spinach, pecan and strawberry salad. Spinach potato pie, spinach pastry. Cafeteria style restaurant. Have to go back for the pastries, they look super delicious.

I like LA Madeleine. The big negative for me is, almost everyone I visit has a WiFi system that will never connect to my laptops. I travel for work and this happens in locations all across the south and with different laptops. Food is usually great, good spot for business meetings, but the wifi isn’t worth a lick. Something must be seriously wrong with the way these Madaleine restaurants set up the wifo network because they all fail.

This location is constantly running out of their famous potato soup. Why? Why? Why? Get your shit together. I’m so pissed of right now. I drove her from Prairieville just for the soup. Really disappointed. Just unbelievable. I want to cry. Also, service is awful. These people don’t want to be working here and it shows. The guy didn’t give me a cup for my drink, I ordered a soup and I didn’t get one.

We absolutely love this place! I always feel like I am eating in France at Epcot in Disneyworld but it tastes even better! I seem to love themed places! The french country breakfast and the french toast are my favorites! Of course, I could literally eat breakfast all day which is great because you can order breakfast any time of the day there! Yay!

This restaurant would be a great change up from the heavy tasty food options that the typical Louisiana person is accustom to. This is an American interpretation of a French Café. I like some of food they offer but don’t go here thinking you’re going to be WOWED. The salads are pretty large. The location is great being that it’s in an area of high traffic volume and also being that it’s across the street from The Town Center. The service here is always great and you should give them a try.

My cousin took us to La Madeleine for lunch one day. I passed by it many times while in Maryland, but never stopped to eat there. Why? I don’t know, but I will be stopping there from now on. It is better version of Panera. I don’t particularly care for Panera, but La Madeleine was nice. I just ordered soup and it was tasty. I will be back to order some of the other options.

There was a time when La Mad’s was the«new thing» in Baton Rouge — about 25 – 30 years ago. Now it’s just same thing, different day. The things we like most on the menu are the French Onion Soup and the Tomato Soup… soup is good. The pastry’s are«nice,» but there are better to be had. Lately, having noticed loaves on bread on racks in plastic wraps like you’d see at the grocery store, I’ve begun to wonder if they bake their own bread any longer. Pricey — not«quaint» — just not what it once was. If you like soup, give it a try… as for the salads and sammies… go get a poboy somewhere else… you’ll thank me for it.

Good food. Pleasant staff. No oatmeal at 10:47am, which is understandable. But no raw sugar for coffee is annoying. Also, I know it’s a chain restaurant, but $ 2.50 for a coffee to-go is ludicrous — I can get em cheaper at Starbucks. Bathroom was clean overall. Good experience. I had the French-dip; it was very good.

La Madeleine’s is a chain restaurant that serves French country-side fare. The atmosphere and décor is very«Frech countryside», adding a certain amount of authenticity. You are served, somewhat cafeteria style as you grab a tray and move down a line, ordering as you move along. This makes the service very efficient. The menu consists of soups, salads, sandwiches, assorted entrees, and a plethora of yummy pastries. I adore their French onion soup and Strawberry Romanoff. They also offer free french bread with butter and jam. The Jefferson location offers a large, covered patio on which to dine.
