Excellent Service. Food is always on point. Definitely a regular spot for me when I don’t want typical fast food, and don’t feel like cooking. Definitely a good amount of food without breaking the bank.

This place was busy when we went in for dinner. The line is kind of weird because you are behind the people who are ordering. A bit different from chipotle. There are 3 different size burritos, salad, tacos, etc. I got steak tacos. The flavor was not there even though I added several items on the taco. The meat itself was in chunks and not shredded so it was a bit more harder to but into. It was confusing to Order the topping because they were not separated, no signs; can we add everything or are they in categories. The prices are a bit too high for me for a burrito. Would not make it a first choice to go to.

This one place I love, I build my wrap packed with vegetables, black beans, onions, Bell peppers, white chicken, avocado, all in a spinach wrap … Clean eat ! You can’t go wrong with this place

This is my favorite burrito bar in BR. I used to like Moe’s but they went out of business. Anyways, if you can deal with the constant long line, get your quick Mexican fix here. Every time i am I there, I wait a good 10 minutes in line. The burritos are huge. I don’t know how anyone could ever put down an illegal size. A kids size burrito is about the same size as an adult regular FYI. I think their queso is pretty good. The southwest Caesar sauce is quite enjoyable as well. On Mondays, it it kids night. They had a face painter in there. My little boys loved it. The prices are a little on the high side for a burrito bar. The employees are always friendly and do a good job.

Definitely not Moe’s! Being new to Baton Rouge I was disappointed to learn there is no Moe’s in the area. Found Izzo’s and thought great — a similar type casual Mexican restaurant. I’ve been several times now and each time come away a little disappointed. My biggest complaint is they are soooo stingy with taco chips. Seriously this is most likely the least expensive product in the restaurant. I actually like their nachos but recently they changed the menu to only offer one size and you get about 10 chips. If you add the chips and drink ‘meal deal’ you get about 8 chips. And no refills. Moe’s on the other hand loads you up with chips and of course any Mexican restaurant will bring you basket after basket. So I don’t quite understand they ‘portion control’ strategy with the chips. Also — a big pet peeve. They seem to have plenty of people working but each time I’ve visited they’re busy fulfilling ‘to go’(either call-in or online) orders. Ticket after ticket they work on while the line of actual ‘in person’ customers stacks up and waits. It’s annoying. Not sure what the solution is but it feels odd to just stand and wait totally unnoticed as they fill other orders for people obviously not in the restaurant. Cleanliness — definitely hit and mostly miss. The dinning room often doesn’t have clean tables. It doesn’t appear they pay much attention to the dining area. Since most people throw away their own garbage it would only require wiping down tables, straightening chairs and sweeping occasionally. Most likely I’m going to look for a new alternative for quick Mexican. Food quality is actually good — I have no problem there. But the above other items sort of out weigh that for me. Can’t recommend but definitely wouldn’t say avoid. Just could be better.

Can you say Chipotle??? The very same concept… There is no noticeable difference. The staff was pleasant and quick to keep they line moving. I got the chicken salad with mostly all of the toppings and a peach Sprite. :-D(yum!) Lunch time draws a big crowd, so be prepared to wait just a little bit. There is indoor and outdoor seating available, but you may want to think twice about the outdoor seating in the summer time.(…Just saying)

I’ve been here on a few occasions and I always really enjoy it. They’re fast, friendly, and very fresh. I always create my own salad and go crazy with all of the veggie options. Sometimes they’re a little stingey and they’re trained this way(to save $$$ of course.) So I will sometimes ask for extra of things which they don’t mind. For example I love pico, cilantro, and salsa. I use salsa and fresh lime as a salad dressing instead of calorie dense options(which probably taste delicious.) I like this location more than others I’ve been to. It’s very big, clean, and seems newer than some. We came 20 min before close after a movie, they were still nice and everything was good. They didn’t shut down everything early and make you feel bad for asking for things(working customer service jobs myself I know that can be hard, but I like to receive that same courtesy.) They also have one of those newer soft drink machines like the movie theater has(does that make me sound old?) you know, the futuristic kind ;) So why did they not get 5 stars instead of 4? For the price I think some of the portions should be larger. Chipotle is much more generous with guacamole, and overall I would still rate Chipotle higher. I love that Izzo’s is local though, so I’ll keep supporting them!

Update and new. I had a salad lunch today. It was light, fresh, and tasty with fresh brewed ice tea. I had a perfect summer meal. I want to try breakfast next weekend. It looks great.

The service I received alone deserves all the STARS but the food, especially considering my currently restricted diet, is what had me SWOONING over this place. Ok so, no shade, but I am a DIE hard Chipotle fan, so needless to say, this is my FIRSTTIME. I walked in and was a bit overwhelmed with the selection, the manager, im presuming, noticed my hesitance and asked if I needed any help. I casually mentioned some of my restrictions and he offered numerous options. If you are vegetarian or vegan this place has mushrooms as a meat replacement option! I love marinated mushrooms. Lol. Anyway, I ended up getting a bunch of sides to mix and match. The cost was rather low, under $ 5, but I got small servings because I didnt want much. The guacamole is, dare I say it, comparable to my beloved chipotle. In fact all of my food was yummy, I definitely plan to come back when I can experience the fullness of the burritos, bowls, and salads here… oh and they have NACHOS!!!

Gotta say it’s pretty good. I like the options. Definitely gives chipotle a run for their money.

Had chicken tacos street deal. Best thing I’ve eaten in a while! Went for lunch after a coworker recommended the place. The line was longer than I cared for, but I understood why after I tasted that GOODFOOD. The staff was cool, and the guy made my tacos with great care. I’ll be back. Maybe use them for catering. Nom! Nom!

I’ve really liked Izzo’s since I’d first tried them but I didnt realize how much until I went to Chipotle. Izzo’s is so much better than Chipotle to me, primarily in their food quality and by the fact that they offer many more ingredients. Chipotle corporate also turns me off with all of their political nonsense that I dont agree with but the star ratings is about Izzo’s food. A much better value than many fast food(ish) type places and somewhat healthy at that. I eat mostly at this location or the one in the Mall of Louisiana. Great concept and place!

Who doesn’t love Izzos?! Even tho my wife and I are both american, I swear our baby is gonna come out Mexican because of her unhealthy obsession with their nachos! Super friendly and funny staff makes this location even better

Good portions. Very filling. High quality ingredients. Reasonable price. Somewhat healthy. Good salsas. What’s not to like? Izzo’s is basically an independent version of Chipotle. It’s hard to find much of a difference. Although Izzo’s has more locations in Baton Rouge than Chipotle so I tend to end up at one of their restaurants more often.

Cramped shopping plaza, however, food and staff is consistently good and friendly, respectively. Would recommend a salad or «street tacos» over burrito any day. Trent will always put a smile on your face! Make sure you add their yummy fresh guac to whatever you choose. Getting the chips and salsa is… Way too much, ha, but I enjoy the two for one beers during happy hours. Margaritas are a bit sweet for my taste, but perhaps not for all.

The steak burrito or the steak salad are pretty good and I highly recommend those menu items, if you are a meat eater! Ever since Chipotle came to town, I have stopped coming to Izzo’s. I find their items overly priced for just a small amount. The food is good, but I would rather go where I can get a better bang for my buck!

If you’re really Hungry, order the Burrito Bowl, you get much more than they can actually fit into a Burrito. Trust me, it’s the Pro Play when eating at the Izzo’s Illegal Burrito!

Don’t get me wrong, I like Izzo’s well enough. Based purely on the menu options, I would give Izzo’s a 3-star review. This location, however, is worthless. The staff is downright mean, and you know they don’t want to be there. The tables are always smeared with various sauces, and they occasionally have someone’s dirty dishes still sitting there from the lunch rush. I walked in with a coupon for a free meal deal(chips, side of salsa, queso, or guacamole, and a drink) with no stipulations on it. The girl at the register told us the queso we ordered was not allowed for that coupon, despite no mention of that on the physical coupon, and snatched the cheese off our plate with bare, money-touching hands. I will never return to this location, especially with the Corporate Blvd Izzo’s a stone’s throw away.
