This was my fist time going to DSW. I was on the hunt for some shoes for a party I was going to and a friend suggested this place. When I got into the store, it was like I had struck gold. All of the shoes my little heart could handle. I was so glad I only had a shallow window of time to find what I needed because I would have spent several hours trying on shoes and bagging them. The prices were a little higher than I expected. I now know where to get some of the brands I need when Macy’s or Dillard’s are out of stock in my size.

So many shoe choices. Stop here first. I wear a narrow size shoe and none of their brands are AA so I can’t give it 5 stars. But I often find something to buy.

Generally, I find that DSW doesn’t have a huge variety of cute, «business casual» flats that actually have support, but otherwise, I like DSW. The prices are reasonable, and I typically find what I am looking for, especially if I am looking for heels. I also like that the clearance section is divided by sizes, so you can see exactly what styles are available rather than falling in love with a pair only for them to be out of your size. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the store is clean and easy to navigate. I will definitely continue to shop here.

I started going to DSW when I lived in Dallas. I was so disappointed that there wasn’t one in New Orleans. I used to drive to Baton Rouge a couple of times a year and do some shopping, but now I live here and DSW is my first stop to look for shoes. It’s a large store so they have more shoes than most places. I agree with the other posters that they seem to carry lots of sandals and flip flops, but I guess there must be a demand for it. They still have plenty of heels here, though, and boots in the winter. I have never bought athletic shoes here. They have a large clearance room, but it is quite dim. Good prices, though. One thing that is nice is they have a big selection of larger sizes. My friend wears a women’s size 11 and they are hard to find but DSW has quite a few of them and a whole wall of them in the clearance room. They carry department store brands, like Guess/Chinese Laundry/Anne Kline/Lulu Townsend/Steve Madden, etc at discounted prices. No kids shoes. I went yesterday and bought a pair of Lulu Townsend heels and a pair of Reef flip flops.

This is the big newish DSW shoes at Mall of Louisiana… or I guess I should say adjacent to it. It’s a big store but it seems like it doesn’t carry a huge variety of styles. Right now, it’s lots and lots and lots of variations on flip flops. The clearance section is all the way in the back and is well organized, but a bit dark. The men’s section is a fourth the size of the women’s and on the left hand side of the store. Children’s shoes are not carried.
