this hidden gem was amazing! my husband and I went this past Sunday afternoon and were greeted immediately! It was cozy and fun atmosphere! I got the club sanwhich and man oh man soooo good! He got the cheesy cheese and it was such a neat combo and soooo good, however we recommend only someone with a hearty appetite order this as it’s HUGE! Also, we had the crawfish poppers which were delicious and served with jalapeño ranch which we saved for our fries it was so good! We will DEF be back soon!

I went to this place late afternoon on the Sunday of the Labor Day weekend. It was not busy at all during that time. The service was fine and they were friendly. It’s a nice, newer, bar & grill kind of place. Like Kassim said below, there are TVs everywhere. I will go back when there is a big game on. It should be a fun environment.
They have a good selection of sandwiches and burgers, a few salads, and both fried and grilled wings. I had the grilled wings, which were pretty tasty with the mild sauce. The prices were quite reasonable, too.
I would go to this place often if it wasn’t 15 miles from me. Anyone near the Central/​Greenwell Springs area should give it a try. It’s on the western-​most end of Wax Road.

This is a hidden sports restaurant/​bar gem in the Greater Baton Rouge area. I happened to come across this place by browsing this random coupon book I have and decided to give it a shot. I ordered the Captain Fred Breakfast Burger and was not disappointed. This burger had your breakfast staples such as bacon and eggs on top of a juicy, perfectly cooked 1/​3lb patty on a sweet texas bun finished off with a nice spread of grape jelly. It was salty and sweet and very delicous.
Also, I kid you not, you can see at least 4 TVs in your eyesight looking in any direction in the restaurant. Great for watching the game with some good food, beers and friends.

What happened to you? The food used to be awesome and the service stellar. Now I can’t comment on the food because your waitress can’t be bothered to even acknowledge that we existed in an EMPTY RESTAURANT! Eventually we got up and walked out! If this is how things are going to be then do us a favor and CLOSE! Let someone who wants our business take over!

Recently had lunch here. I loved the atmosphere, the food was delicious and the service was great. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because I wish they would have put more fries on my plate. I will definitely go back.

Burgers are decent. Sidewinder fries are the best. Atmosphere by far the best in Central. Good service.

We came in on a Wednesday night and there was an average crowd– not busy, but not all of the tables were empty. We got our free cheese fries via Unilocal check-​in, ordered some fried pickles, & ordered my child’s meal to come with our appetizers. The cheese fries & pickles were delicious and came out to us rather quickly. We ordered our entrees as we were eating our appetizers, and then waited… and waited. 45 minutes later, our waitress came out of the kitchen and told us they were out of Philly cheese steaks (my husband’s order), so he requested something else. 10 minutes later, our waitress comes out from the kitchen to tell me, «y’all are gonna kill me» and that they were out of MY entrée as well, so I changed my order (after she ensured me the wings were in stock). Meanwhile, we still had not gotten my child’s entrée that was ordered with our appetizers. 20 minutes after changing my order, we finally decide to leave. By this time, it’s after 9 PM, my child still hadn’t eaten, we never received our entrees, & we never got an explanation as to why our order was so delayed. Throughout this time, all of the other patrons were getting their food– some even came & left– while we were still waiting for ours.
Upon telling the waitress we were leaving, she told us the grilled cheese (for my child) is ready, so we made her put it in a box. We paid for everything & promptly left, without receiving an apology & no attention from the manager.
We will not be returning.

Stopped in late Sunday afternoon, for an early dinner while we were out. Seated quickly, drink order taken, and ready for our appetizer order very quickly. We ordered the mixed appetizer which I think was called the Coach’s special and it was great. This is a must order here. Fried pickles, onion rings, boudin balls, spinich dip, chips, buffalo shirmp, all very delicious! I ordered the open faced roast beef and it was great. I opted to not get the lettuce and tomato, and it was very good. Bread was fresh and flaky, and to potato wedges are awesome. Very different wedges and very good. My husband ordered the philly sandwich and again a great sandwich. Our server boxed our appetizer leftovers for us, and was very attentive. We will be back!

We have eaten here several times. We had lunch here today. For our appetizers we ordered the fried pickles, they were good and crisp and not soggy. We also ordered a 5 pc. Boneless wings in hot sauce; they were great with the right amount of sauce & the fall apart tenderness was good.
For our entrées we ordered the Open Faced Roast beef poboy and the Chicken Sandwich. My husband really enjoyed his chicken sandwich, he ordered it fried and with hot sauce on it. I didn’t enjoy the roast beef as much. I suppose I am also more accustomed to a shredded roast beef on this type of poboy and not a sliced roast beef. The flavor was just off to me (and it may be because I am pregnant & pregnancy taste buds are different and picky at times).
But to make up for the lack in food taste of the roast beef… was the service. TYLER was the most wonderful server I have ever had in a restaurant ever!!! FANTASTIC service! He was always checking on us, made sure we had what we needed & wanted, made our dining experience a great one! If you ever dine here, make sure to ask for him as your server, you will not be disappointed.
