Very amazing food and quick service.
Very nice staff as well.
Food is very delicious and I really can’t complain.
Couldn’t even finish my plate (I chose burrito deluxe [I believe that is what it was called]).

Food was really good. The menu is huge. Service was fast and there was always someone you could grab to get you whatever you need. I just hate that I had to grab someone. Our server refilled our drinks once and got our order taken pretty quickly– but that was about it. Was never given silverware, offered a dessert, or any other normal stuff. But everyone was friendly and there were a lot of other staff members around that were happy to help. It was good and fast.

Deliciously skeazy ‘muricanized plates of goopy slop, but I sometimes want that when travelling alone in the middle of fly-​over country with a case of diarrhea. The beer is cold and they pour gigantic tequila shots. They have air-​conditioning too!

Reviews are mixed, but if you are expecting good food for a reasonable price you will not be disappointed. As a former resident of LA it does not compete, but will hold its own in the heartland. I had the carnitas and I would rate them as average, my wife enjoyed her dish. Service was exceptional.

This my first time here and it’s pretty good. The service could be a litter better but it’s not bad. It’s getting busy for lunch so this must be a popular spot. I got the fajita nachos and I was impressed.

I have to let go of my optimism. I figured it couldn’t be as bad as the previous review, right? This place sucks.
Good points: Somewhat friendly service, genuine decorations, real Mexican music, my table and silverware was clean and they serve horchata.
Bad points: Salsa was tomato paste, the rice was over cooked, beans were out of a can and the ‘choizo’ had a dominant beef flavor.
Skip this place.

Granted, it’s not all that great, I still like it. It’s easier if you speak Spanish, and I do. I’m from L.A. and I miss the skeazy mexi-​joints. This is my skeazy-​Mex spot here in town.
If you want to get ghetto for a day, come here, get a margarita and hang out.

You may as well belly up to a salt lick instead of eating at Señor Salsa. The description of the El Patron Special, featuring Carnitas Burritos, made my mouth water. Once I had a bite, I was scrambling to get water in my mouth… not to make brine but to wash down the awful taste. The pork was overcooked and chewy. It seemed like I was eating a pork jerky burrito, really. The huge margarita helped me cope with the poor food.
