Live music, good people, and damn good BBQ. This is a family owned and operated business who really love what they do. I love the pulled pork and the kids love the smoked Mac. The food alone would make it worth the trip when you couple it with live music you have a completely awesome dining experience! Enjoy!

I have never made a Unilocal review before now but had such a great experience that I felt compelled to do so. My girlfriend and I stopped in today and got the deviled eggs as an app and the Noah’s Arc as our meal which we shared. It would be impossible for me to say enough great things about how delicious it was. The portions were plentiful, our server was very helpful and courteous, the restaurant was clean and comfortable, and the price was comparable to every other BBQ restaurant in the area. We will definitely be dining here again in the near future and would highly suggest anyone who likes great food to give it a try.

Great food and service. Coldest day of the year and cold, they had just opened for the day but went out of their way to make our meal great

This place was horrible. If I could give less than one star, I would. Service was only ok. Food was baaaad. As someone who is a trained BBQ judge, my wife and I know what to expect, and this was some of the worst brisket we’ve ever had. It was VERY fatty, overcooked, and cut wrong. If brisket is cut WITH the grain, like they did, it is almost impossible to chew. This is basic, folks. The«smoked Mac n cheese» was covered in a soupy, overly smokey, «cheese» sauce. Their«poutine» would have been great, had they used brown gravy, instead it was under-seasoned. I can say that I respect the owner/manager for not charging us, but I am more disappointed that a place I’d heard so many great things about was so wrong.

I had the pleasure of visiting Smokey Goodness Pub and Grill today for a late lunch. Sean, the waiter, greeted me joyfully(not always the case when you’re a middle-aged woman dining alone) and told me about the menu. I ordered the Squealer(pulled pork sandwich) with onion feathers. The smoked catsup is yummy. The owner(sorry, I forgot her name) came over as I finished my meal and told me all about how everything is made from scratch in their kitchen, explained the cold and hot smokers and invited me back. I will be back soon, with hubby in tow! Thanks for a lovely afternoon.

This place is a gem. We’ve been loyal customers for a while. The food continues to get better and better. It’s one of the friendliest restaurants that I’ve ever been to, and it’s apparent that the customers and staff alike are happy to be there. Not only do they source their food locally, they are just GOOD people. Our favorites on the menu include buffalo wings(they need to bottle their sauce), the Mac ‘n cheese, and the ribs. Prices are very reasonable too! If this place brewed their own beer we would never go anywhere else!

The owner was very pleasant, although maybe a little high on marijuana. My boyfriend ordered a «fresh squeezed» margarita which was orange juice and God knows what else, yuck. We ordered the Reuben and beef brisket sandwich. My Reuben came with baked beans that were black as charcoal and had bits of crunchy pieces in them, the Reuben was WAY overcooked, no way to describe it except gross. My boyfriend ordered the beef brisket sandwich and got nothing but charcoal chips in his sandwich, the«smoked» mac n cheese was nothing but VELVEETA cheese thrown on a smoker. Will never be back, keep driving !!!

The beef brisket was like shoe leather. The pork had barbecue sauce already on it. Sides were good. Prices high for quantity. Goody Coles in Brentwood is much better, more food, lower prices.

My husband and I stopped in here a few weeks ago since we had heard good things about this BBQ joint we both ordered the brisket which was Soooo dry it was like eating shoe leather. I think more variety as far as bbq sauce would be nice here too. They just had one type of bbq sauce it was good but more flavor like sweet, tangy, spicy. Also the owner was really nice and friendly told us how they came to open the restaurant as well as told us about their two kinds of smokers. The drinks were good but felt like we drank our meal. Finally it was on the pricey side for roadside BBQ place. Pretty disappointed overall. I think I would stick w going to goody Coles or Casey’s rib shack better quality better food overall. The owners just need to make this more of a destination stop for people. Wish the owners and the restaurant good luck…

We went Saturday night before heading over to Haunted Overload. I must say, after reading these reviews, we were disappointed! I guess by New England standards for BBQ, they are OK. Although we still have to try Goody Coles which we passed by on the way in Brentwood. In our humble opinion, #1 in NE belongs to Salvage in Portland Maine, so far that place cannot be beat! We got there early and very hungry to try everything. Beer was ice cold and service was great. We got appetizers, nachos with pulled pork and wings. Unfortunately the wings are not smoked, not sure why. The nachos were a little different with peppers and onions but stingy with the pulled pork. Which is a shame, because the pulled pork is the only thing I would have here again. We got the ark, it came out with no chicken, they came back with a piece that I am pretty sure was microwaved given how hot it was, but the skin was gummy/chewy. They forgot the cornbread too, but we didn’t notice until the end. The brisket was terrible, tough as leather, the ribs were passable, the baked beans were unrecognizable, but tasted ok. Again, the pulled pork is the star of the show. Smoked ketchup? tasty little gimmick, but let me have regular ketchup too. I get it, you are a smokehouse, you smoke everything, but there is something to be said for having a different taste to cut through the smoke. Everything starts to taste the same, same rubs, same wood smoke, same sauce. The easiest thing you could do to change it up, is have some different BBQ sauces available to add heat or sweetness or some other flavor. If you are using rubs, it is also all the same and does not stand out. One of the owners stopped by our table, she was very nice and I wish her success. A few tweaks and this place could be really good. Oh and the music that night was great too! Oh, one last thing, any BBQ joint worth their salt should have a roll of paper towels on each table! They can be cheap ones, but you should never have to ask for extra napkins when having BBQ!

First time in and the whole family loved it. The pulled pork was a huge hit and the fried pickles are a must try. The owners are very friendly. Clean and open atmosphere. We are local and will most definitely be back.

If you’re into BBQ then you’ve got to try this restaurant. It’s clearly a labor of love, they’ve been in business for a little over a year, they use hot and cold smokers to prepare just about everything, including baked beans and Mac & cheese. Service is very friendly, atmosphere is outdoorsy fishing camp décor. We had the Noah’s ark plate, which is a sampler of their chicken, ribs, brisket, sausage and pulled pork. It was unreal. The pulled pork changed my life. Usually it’s swimming in sauce, not here… Moist, the flavor comes from the rub and the smoke… They make their own sauces and ketchup. You step out of your car and the smell is all around. It was sooooo good!

Excellent BBQ! Passed it by several times because it’s outward appearance wasn’t overly attractive but am so glad we have tried this place. This past week was our second time in and it was very good. I had the brisket sandwich and it was super tender, smokey and tasty. Fries are fantastic too, cooked in duck fat. My daughter had a cheeseburger that melts in your mouth. I thought it was the cut of meat or fat ratio that bewildered me, but the server told us it is cooked in smoked butter. Fabulous! The atmosphere is rustic, had a full bar and friendly, prompt service. My only suggestion would be to have some music playing. Definitely check this place out!

If you like casual dinning, friendly service and great food this is the place for you. It’s a nice place to stop for a couple of drinks after work. It has a small 12−14th seat bar. If you have a partner and don’t want them to have to cook, stop for a drink and take food home. There is plenty of parking. The building sets back from the road, so be careful not to pass it by. It’s on Rt. 125 just north of the Lee traffic circle. It’s beside the 125 Fence business.

Enjoyed dinner tonight at this location. It was delicious! My favorite part would have to be the hand cut fries cooked in lard. You cannot go wrong! Can’t wait to go back for more!
