I went to CH because I had heard good things about it. It was hard to find since there was no signage. The place was not particularly clean. He only uses clippers no scissors. When I left I thought it not a very good haircut. In a couple days it looked better and lasted a long time Some may like it but not my cup of tea. While $ 25 is not that high it was for a quick clipper cut.

So I’ve actually never been to Chopped and Hopped, but Tyler cut my hair at Pitchfork this past summer. He was pretty awesome, especially because I wasn’t allowed to ask for any particular cut; he just did what he wanted. As a female, I was a little nervous letting a barber cut my hair, especially because I couldn’t ask for what I wanted, but he was AWESOME. He gave me a super cute, chic haircut and was really, really polite and nice. He also cut my boyfriend’s hair and we both left feeling excited and happy with our cuts. I’ll be making the trip to Chopped and Hopped as soon as I’m back in town and can’t wait to get my hair cut by Tyler again.

Tyler was recommended to me by a coworker and I’m glad I went. I usually go to Belmont Barbershop so my standard is pretty high for a barber. Tyler meets that standard. I still go to Belmont Barbershop but Chopped and Hopped is a bit closer and I can stop by for a quick cut, a good conversation, and a cool atmosphere.

Guy is the best barber I’ve been to in Chicagoland area. Solid value, great cut, splendid area and shop. Highly recommended.

I used to drive two an a half hour round-trip just to get a haircut by Tyler at Joe’s barbershop in the city. That should tell you more than enough how good this Vato is at cutting hair.
