Great meal at a fair price. Superb lobster dishes. Would definitely come back on our next trip.

Just came back from a fabulous meal here, Everything was delicious and fresh — from the blueberry margarita(without that gut wrenching sour mix so many places use) to the linguini with clam sauce, the perfect chicken parm and the spinach salad with salmon cooked to perfection. The best part of the evening, though, was the fabulous service from Diane, a warm and helpful server. We will be be back!

Overcooked, stuck to the shell, mushy crab claws. They were from the cooler, not the steamer so they were cold to boot. Others said fish was ok, but sides and desserts were blah.

Lobster was overcooked, side dishes were basically microwaved. Severely overpriced. Terrible service.

Our group stopped in here after reading over the menu on the street. Overall the food was good, but not«gourmet.» We ordered blueberry salmon, lazy mans lobster dinner, seafood chowder, chicken/sausage farfalle, and two kids pasta dinners. All the pasta seemed to be cooked without any salt and was very bland. One of the lobster dinners was chewy and overcooked. On a positive note, the salmon was cooked well and seafood chowder was«the best one I’ve had all week.» Overall this wasn’t a meal to write home about, but it wasn’t bad food either. Perhaps a bowl of seafood chowder to-go is all we will stop for in the future.

My salmon was delicious, the blueberry daiquiri was lip-smacking, but the desserts were beyond compare. I was mad I ate dinner(actually I was mad I ate anything all day), it took up space that I could’ve filled with more pie. There are 10+ choices, but I went the traditional blueberry pie and it was one of the better decisions I have made. The kids meals are big, my kids split an entrée and had leftovers. The staff is friendly and very helpful with kids too.

Small portions bland food… surf and turf special for $ 35.00…tiny piece of lobster… terrible piece of rib eye steak not cooked properly… good mashed potatoes and peas… would not go again.

Food was very good and reasonably priced. Outside patio is great but the chairs get stuck between the paver stones and it is hard to move your chair around. I would still go back.

Weeknight dinner after a long day. Restaurant located on the west side of Main Street so parking easier. Didn’t have reservations but seated quickly at the downstairs bar. Atmosphere cozy and casual. Staff a little frazzled with a new computer system but still very accommodating. Manager/Owner actively present meeting customers needs. Decided on Caprese Salad for an appetizer. Our entrees included the Lobster Fra Diavlo and the Lobster & Shrimp Alfredo. Food was tasty, portions big, prices reasonable. House Merlot to wash it down. We’ll be back.

Went here for a group meal with friends. I only got chicken parm but it was delicious! My friends got the chicken Alfredo and pasta primavera both looked great. The blueberry daiquiri was also ordered and that seemed to look and apparently taste amazing. All in all a cool place indoors and out that I would recommend in Bar Harbor!

This restaurant is Great as well as the service… we were visiting from Florida and left prescription glasses there, .contacted the restaurant and«Dennis» and he said he would make sure they were sent back to us and they were, …we sent a pre paid envelope and the glasses arrived very quickly. This was so nice of them to do this, and we will certainly visit them again next yr… loved the scallops and the Blue Berry Martini.yummo.

Out of the way. It’s what we were looking for in a place like BBH. Parked right out front… no wait. Great service good food. I had linguine and clams. Very good wife’s salad looked good. Cool old house very eclectic and well done. Hell the painting on the wall right by my head was $ 5800! I had to lick it. Never know when you can do that again huh?

Decided to try this on our third day in Bar Harbor mainly as the menu seemed quite extensive and offered some alternatives to the ubiquitous lobster — although they do have a pretty large range of crustacean-related items on the menu. It was pretty busy, but the staff were friendly and attentive and before too long we were ushered to a table upstairs by the window. Being a bit lobstered-out at this point, I went for the Mediterranean pasta, which had artichoke hearts(one of my favourite vegetables), peppers and chopped garlic. It was okay, but not as special as I was expecting from the description, and I could have done without the present owner(decidedly under-dressed in shorts and sandals) bragging about his business model to friends at the next table. The service was good, the food average. We had much better evening meals at Café This Way so probably wouldn’t return here.

A very busy restaurant near the bottom of Main Street, with both indoor and outdoor seating, there’s not much to complain about here. We took the precaution of making a reservation, and even at 1930 of an October evening, places were limited. It’s not terrifically fancy, being a series of connected rooms in what looks to have been a large house, but it’s comfortable enough, easy on the eye and ear. Service was prompt and efficient, especially given how full the place was, and the food was wholesome, well prepared and presented. Wine and beer selections are fair and prices not too bad.

Solid meal, staff were friendly(if a bit frenetic). Rolls brought out to accompany meal I would rate as just ok — somewhat flat, couple of them a bit hard. For the entrees I had the stuffed scallops. A huge portion of scallops — the breaded topping was quite good, I didn’t see much of the shrimp/crab stuffing they advertised. My mom had the linguine with clam sauce and said it was perfect — I tried it and it had great flavor and tons of clams. Wine list pretty minimal and overpriced. Blueberry pie for dessert was fantastic! Good choice in Bar Harbor — the night we were there quite a few locals dining there. Would eat there again.

I had the lobster scampi with a side of garlic peas. The bread was great. The scampi was great. The peas were meh… i didn’t taste any garlic… they just tasted like thawed peas to me. The service was great. The staff was very friendly and attentive. Overall, I’m a fan.

On entering we headed to the bar, but were told we could also enjoy happy hour pricing in the dining room or the semi enclosed patio. We chose the latter and ordered mojitos. I asked the waitress if fresh mint was used by the bartender and was it muddled? I received an affirmative response, but the drinks still turned out to be mediocre. This restaurant offers an extensive early bird menu from which we both ordered the baked stuffed haddock with Maine crab meat & shrimp stuffing. We never detected any crab meat and the haddock was topped rather than stuffed, but it was a generous and tasty entrée. My wife chose a baker while I opted for the butterfly pasta topped with a delicious and chunky marinara sauce. Pricing was very reasonable. A couple of side notes: The day was unusually hot and we discovered there was no air conditioning in the restaurant though a few fans were scattered about the upstairs dining room. The only restrooms were discovered were adjacent to the second floor dining room so I don’t know if there is any provision for handicap people.
