Food was really good. Got the lunch special which was cheap most specials are 6.95 and have a good amount of food. Recommend the drunken noodles. The owners were very nice too.

They have the best yellow curry and chai tea latte’s! I live in Los Angeles and everytime I’m out this way I absolutely have to stop here! Plus the service is always nice. You are always greeted with a smile when you walk in the door. Always a pleasant experience.

This place is actually incredible. Not gonna lie, it looked a little sketchy on the outside(sorry!) but I was completely blown away by the food. First of all, the menu is HUGE! I don’t even think I looked through it all. Since it was my first time, I just went with one of the classics, pad thai(?) while my boyfriend got something a little different and unusual, well to me. It was delicious. And the staff is extremely attentive and nice. I’m already wanting to go back again. Thank you!

Randomly dropped in here while I was in town for the Arcade Expo. Very nicely decorated restaurant. Service was good. I got the yellow curry. The flavor of the curry was quite good. The texture of the chicken and potatoes weren’t great though.

Hands down the best thai place around! The owner here is so welcoming, it is like eating at their home. The food is so fresh and delicious. I love the green curry and the spring rolls. the homemade peanut sauce is the best sauce I have ever had.

Dinner could have not gone better! The owners are amazing people and hold great conversation. In my opinion they have some of the best customer service I have seen in a long time. The location is very clean inside and out. They even have a coffee/tea bar! The food is healthy, tastey, quality, great presentation and absoluteley rich in flavor. I had the Drunken noodle style noodle with tofu and beef well done. With chicken Satay which includes their peanut sauce. We also got a soup that complimented everything well. The Thai Iced Tea is perfect! Not too sweet but full of amazing flavors. Overall we had a pleasant evening can’t wait to take the rest of the family. Thank you Papaya Bay for providing a quality product with excellent service. Keep up the great work!

Thai restaurant in Banning?! Where’s that you may ask? It’s a city next to Cabazon Outlet as many Unilocalers have pointed out — lunch/rest/dinner stop for some good Thai food on the way back/from some outlet shopping or gambling or both: p. A place that I least expect to find a good Thai restaurant, but I was wrong! What I liked about this restaurant: 1. «healthy» options 2. friendly service First, they offer many«gluten free» and low-fat dishes for those who are health conscious. They also have a unique Thai ice tea that has a hint of sweetness to it — not too sweet like most Thai restaurants I’ve been to that simply taste like sweet water. We ordered a noodle dish that reminded me of Pad see ew w/soy sauce. Surprisingly it was very delicious and I would recommend it. We also ordered an eggplant dish. It was different from what my bf and I were used to. I appreciate that the dish was not as oily and overwhelmed with soy sauce. At the same time, I did not like the vegetables that accompany with the eggplant. The vegetable was hard, so it seemed like it was not fully cooked. Overall, despite the eggplant dish, my bf and I were pleasantly pleased with our dining experience. The service was great. We felt that we were attended to and the server checked in with us to make sure everything was okay. We also got fortune cookies after we paid and was getting ready to embark on a day of outlet shopping. Funny enough, the fortune cookie read«buy what you need, not what you want.»

This is the best thai food I ever had in the US. Seriously. We found this place by chance on our way back home. It’s a small place but it’s lovely inside. The person who took our orders was very nice, but the food was even better. Everything we ordered was so delicious! I wish I lived closer to go more often!

Eaten here once before & decided to try it again today after leaving the outlets. We ordered the Kee Mao lunch special which is a steal at $ 6.95. It was decent & had a good amount of sautéed vegetables in it. My only issue is that I asked for the chili tray & didn’t notice that the fish sauce chili that I love so much had a fly in it until it was too late! I had put it on my food & ate most of it prior to noticing the dead fly. I’m sure someone before me left the lid off & that’s how it happened, kinda kills the appetite though.

There was so much traffic on the way back to LA from the Cabazon Outlets that we detoured and kinda just ran into this place since we were hungry and wanted to take a break from all the traffic. This was the most delicious Thai food I’ve ever had, and I’m pretty picky about my Thai food since I used to live near Thai Town in LA. The food was perfectly seasoned and wasn’t greasy. It felt healthy and I liked that our orders had a lot of fresh veggies. I also really appreciated that they had a healthy Thal tea sweetened with agave and honey instead of sugar. I wish other places adopted the same concept. The owner was so kind and personable. I felt like he was an uncle. The restaurant has a very comfortable atmosphere, like you’re in someone’s home. I overheard the owner speaking to other patrons about how he recently picked up some of the décor in Thailand. I highly recommend this place. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in the area.

Overpriced Thai Food in my opinion. My friends and I were on our way to Joshua Tree for the weekend and decided to eat halfway before getting there. Through Unilocal we found Papaya Bay. It was off the ten so it was convenient. Inside, the restaurant is actually decorated nicely. Feels very Thai and homey. They were only two people working at the moment– most likely a pop and mom so service was SUPER slow. But I won’t knock off stars for that . Everything on the menu was a few dollars more than what you would expect to pay in a city like Los Angeles. Food: Pumpkin fried rice: the winner. It was pretty good and I wanted more. Duck curry: curry was very watery. And there were only a few sad pieces of duck. For $ 16, please pass. Papaya salad: it was weird to me that the salad came out warm. Usually it’s cold. Portion was small but it was pretty good. Pad see ew: nothing special. Didn’t like that they used a combo of American broccoli and Chinese broccoli. Mango sticky rice with ice cream: dessert is actually better without the ice cream. Will not come back again… mostly because I’m rarely in this area.

Super awesome food, very friendly staff. Mango sticky rice is a must !!! Most amazing pad Thai and Tom yum soup. It’s a family run business so you might need to wait for food but trust me it’s worth it. Food is fresh and cooked when you order so super yummy n tasty. If you are shopping at dessert hill mall at palm Springs this is the best place to eat after that.
