Matt N’ Mel’s Sewer Scoping Services

Matt went above and beyond when we were purchasing our home. They did a sewer scope and radon test on our soon to be home. Having been built in 1910 with quite a bit of patchwork repair done over the years they took the time to explain what they saw and what to expect out of the current condition. There ended up being a problem with one of the newer ABS sewer lines not having enough pitch. Matt went well out of his way to help us understand the issue, how to correct it, and essentially saved us from failing to get our city permit after we had already purchased the house. He even did an extra sewer scope after the repair to ensure it was correct. Throughout the whole process they were efficient and friendly, answered all our questions, and returned our calls quickly. I only wish all the other trades had been as awesome as our experience with Matt as I’d recommend him without a second thought.

Matt N’ Mel’s were amazingly easy to work with, communicate with and were efficient. We had a bit of a complex «secondary» scope that had to be done (per the city) and Matt came back to not only re-​scope the line for free, but put an immense amount of work into fixing the «problem» identified by another plumber. Matt went well above and beyond and I would recommend this service to anyone!

Nice guys. Got the job done, I guess. I don’t feel like the price was appropriate for the service. I would have let this one go as kind of ho-​hum, unremarkable type of experience (price and all), except that after the sewer scope on the house I was buying, the guys said there’s no need to replace any piping — but decided to mark where the sewer line was on the porch and the street. They marked it with spray paint — on top of a beautifully done brick entry way… Very poor decision. Very disappointing…

Thorough, courteous and efficient. Matt showed up on time, set up his equipment, explained the images appearing on the computer screen and provided an honest appraisal of the sewer. He’s easy-​going and easy to work with.
After confirming that he had answered all my questions, he provided a video of the service he had performed for our records.

Had to give them one star cause they would not let me do zero. Used these idouts when I bought my house in the NE and a few years later went to sell it and they found oil tank in are backyard that matt and mel missed. Now the thing is, are backyard was only 30’x40’ the tank they missed was 4’x8’ thats 32spft (500gal). I have all documentations from matt and mel’s that the preformed a metel detector scan and found nothing and I have pictures of the huge tank they MISSED. Cost me hundreds of dollars and amost lost the sale to are house. Worst part of it was they said they would rectify the situation and did nothing after repeatedly telling me they would take care of it. Do yourself a have and NEVER WORK WITH THIS COMPANY!
