First off the view is definitely hard to beat! I give 3 stars mostly because the soup. My husband said the clam chowder was extremely boring and I did not try it but it did not look to have much substance. My French onion soup was«so so» not the worst, but definitely not the best, and did not have much effort in the crusted top we all hope for in a French onion soup. Once we got over that, though, the rest of the meal was great! I had the filet and my husband had the lamb chops and we were both very satisfied! I would go back if we are in town again, but would skip the soup and go for salad. The service was great too!

One of the best seafood meals we have had in a long time. The service was spot on. Staff very friendly. The view is tough to beat and prices were very reasonable. I would definitely go back.

Great view and pretty good food. Can’t really complain, just a nice restaurant a little dated in decorating as well as food. Kumamoto oysters were the best I’ve had. The staff was absolutely lovely as well.

Nice setting. Immediately sat down and given a glass of water and bread. I wanted crab cakes but it was only an appetizer, when I asked if could be made into a meal it was no problem. Crab cakes tasted great, clam chowder was good, vegetables were perfect, service was awesome. I only drank water and was given a small glass which is normally a problem. In this case they kept filling it faster than I could empty it. I had dessert, chocolate mousse with chocolate shaving and toasted nuts on top. Also very good. Food was very good, best I have found in abandon so far. Service alone is a reason I would come back! It was friendly, fast, and they did great at anticipating needs.

This hideaway was a very pleasant surprise for me and my Lithuanian wife. The service was impeccable, the portions humongous, and the ambiance sophisticated without being snooty. The prices are very fair.

I’d give this less than one star if I could. For starters, extremely rude hostess. Before we sat down she asked us if we read the specials in a snotty way. My husband asked if the waiter would repeat them and she said she supposed so. When we sat down we asked if there were any happy hour specials(the reason we were here was for just some small plates) and she said no. The waiter came to the table and didn’t read any specials, so we ordered clam chowder and prawns. Later in The evening we overheard the waiter telling everyone else the specials(which was for happy hour). Service, horrible. Food… Clam chowder was bad. Couldn’t tell there was chowder, hugs potatoes but I didn’t order potato soup. Nothing special about the chowder, somewhere between a Campbell’s and a restaurant you would find in the Midwest. Prawns were ok, I make better sauce than that and this close to the ocean, they were fresh. Veggies were typical restaurant veggies, nothing special, and same for the rice. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. Especially for the $$$$ price tag.

Sunset Specials included smaller portion meals of their most popular menu items. We were a party of three and two of us had great meals. The fettuccine with prawns — great. Nut crusted halibut — delicious. London Broil — diner thought it might be mutton, it was awful. French Onion soup — yummy Clam Chowder — very good House salad — very good Bottle of wine on special for $ 13 — So all together a great view, EXCELLENT service, and most items delicious. Sunset Specials were a great portion. Also the bread basket has fresh cranberry bread or a dill bread. Both are very, very good.

Loved this place. Food was delicious, service was very good, sunset was spectacular! And, the bathroom was sparkling(I figure if the bathroom is clean, the kitchen is probably in order).

2 stars because the service was good. Food was terrible for the price. I had the halibut… very bland and my vegetables were burnt. Will not go back. $ 33 for a 2 star meal. Ugh!

I had the seafood Caesar, comes with crab and shrimp. It was HUGE! MY husband had the garlicky crab fettuccine. He is still talking about the veggies, grilled to perfection and slightly charred on one side. Can’t wait to try the bloody Mary’s!

We had take out, but the view is to die for. Food was good although the seafood combo was on the small side. My wife’s chicken Marsala was excellent.

Lord Bennett’s is upper echelon dining with a full bar and a quality menu. The restaurant isn’t very large so reservations are recommended, especially on weekends. Menu items are somewhat limited due to size of the kitchen, but what they offer is usually very well executed. Tonight I had the Steak and Maine Lobster with asparagus, rice pilaff and roasted veggies. Clam chowder was excellent and creamy. Dessert was a marion berry cheesecake that was very rich and the berries were at full ripeness. One of my guests was torn between the lamb and salmon, but the king salmon won out. Another at my table had a salad with a cranberry vinaigrette dressing and a very rich French Onion soup. All in all, dinner for 5 was about $ 145 and very much worth it. I stay at Sunset Oceanfront Lodging every time we come to Bandon. Having at least one dinner at Lord Bennett’s every visit is a must. Window seats are nice, but the setting sun over the ocean can really be strong, so don’t feel slighted if you get a table by the wall, just look at the window table people wearing sunglasses and shading their eyes.

Were one of the first customers of the day on a Sat. morning. The people who greeted us were very nice and interested in our satisfaction. I was wanting a bloody mary and they came through. Served with olives instead of celery or green beans. Very tasty; I had another! My meal was the smoked salmon salad. It was kind of take on a caesers salad, but with pieces of salmon added. It was so huge I couldn’t eat it all. In fact everyones dish was so big they couldn’t finish it. No problem. They let you take anything home that you want to. Glasses were kept full. Can’t comment on their dinner menu, but the lunch menu was quite appetizing. Everyone enjoyed their dish.

Great view off Beach Loop Drive, clearly the best restaurant of it’s type in the area. CIA chef /owner always creates great dishes, and while London Broil may not sound exotic, his take on everything works well. The french onion soup is of the classic variety, and if you enjoy a Caesar salad, order a small… it’s enough to split. During the off season they have«early bird special» dinners for like fifteen bucks, I really don’t see how they can put the meal on the plate for that. You can’t go wrong here, I hope we have the opportunity to try their Sunday brunch at some point. All the staff is great but ask for Coleen if she is in. And don’t forget to look out the window.

My date and I came here as per recommendation of hotel. There about 6 things on the menu and they are basically the same thing with different spices. Portions are medium to small. I ate the Alfredo with shrimp. It was $ 28. I ate it all and left hungry. Mind you I’m fit not fat. A dinner for 2 with wine came to $ 117. And left hungry. The furniture was cool in 1994. Seating is close to where you have to listen to everyone else. And the servers act like they can’t wait to get out of there. I was asked 6 times if they could take my plate from me and I have plenty of food on it still. I was so annoyed. Next time I go to Bandon I will just pack a lunch

Still top notch! We eat here every time we get to Bandon. Service was slow last night as only one waitress was scheduled to work the shift(but she is a good one) and made the most of it.

Its a beautiful place with a gorgeous sunset view. Subdued lighting, classical music, etc. good place for a romantic dinner if you dont care aboht the quality of what you eat and are mostly an atmosphere aficionado. Service– good, as would be expected of a place this fancy. No complaints there. Drinks-REALLY disappointing. Bartender cannot follow simple directions. Sadly, the creation of food and drink is a semi technical skill that requires some amount of attention and effort. She seems unable or unwilling to apply herself to the task. its OK to be new and inexperienced, but a manager worth their salt would never compromise service by placing an incapable person in a position where they will fail. She ought to be washing dishes, or bussing tables, or something else other than tending bar. Perhaps that would be a better career choice. Food. Medium at best. Not terribly well flavored, not exceptional in any way. Maybe as good as Red Lobster. Way below what I expect from a place such as this. Not worth it by a long shot. Try someplace else.
