One word — phenomenal! I went to Spoons Café this morning with my husband after picking up something in the area. We are big breakfast lovers, I especially love a good pancake. I had the Cinnamon Bun pancakes with bacon inside and he had the Risotto Pancake Benedict. SOAWESOME! The pancakes were the perfect balance between sweet and salty, the bacon were spread throughout in just the right proportions/places, and the syrup was just right amount. The Risotto Pancakes were also very tasty, the eggs were poached perfectly; the risotto pancakes– how did they do that? The whole combination just works. Potatoes were very well seasoned; coffee was also great. Had to take away one star because no one came around to ask if we wanted more coffee till we were practically done with our breakfast. Overall, a really nice place and a great experience. Of course, we went on a Wednesday right before noon, so it wasn’t that crowded. A little pricey for breakfast, almost $ 36 for two before tips… it was worth the splurge though.

There is ALWAYS a wait on Sat and Sun AM for a reason. Excellent coffee selections, unique combos for breakfast, and friendly servers. The food comes out on the slow side so know that coming in. A true federal hill brunch staple. You just can’t be in a rush!

Friendly waiters and staff. Good coffee. Different food options. Try the eggs Benedict or the French toast cream is a small quaint restaurant. The area around the restaurant is nice. A great place for brunch.

Very yummy food! Fresh and original. I had the deep fried stuffed French toast and it was delicious. Very heavy. The 3B burger was original and flavorful. Big portions. We would definitely breakfast here again.

I really enjoyed the chicken and waffles!!! It was delicious. There are a few other items on the menu that I would like to try as well. The service was a little slow but the waitress was very friendly and helpful. I went on a weekday so I imagine that it’s extremely busy on the weekends and because it’s a smaller restaurant the service would be even slower then. I like the ambience of the restaurant. It was small and very family friendly. I will definitely be back! You will enjoy the food here so definitely give it a try! I’m going to give one of those omelettes on the menu a try!

We dipped in this spot for a late breakfast. Its a great spot with great staff and food. We got a carafe of their grape fruit and thyme mimosa. The waitress saidi it would be the equivalent of 5 glasses but i swear it was waaay more than that :) There are tons of super tasty sounding options on the menu. I went with the breakfast sandwich and loved it. The shape/size of the turkey sausage makes it a little awkward to eat but it was delicious. We also got the O’nuts and they were SOOOGOOD! OMG They were dangerous! Its like churro beniets. The cinnamon on it just gave it the right bit of flavor!

Excellent and friendly service. Coffee is really good and decently priced. Creative and unique menu options — asked for recommendation for breakfast and ended up with The Beast. Definitely wasn’t disappointed. It’s not the healthiest option, but if you’re looking to splurge a little calorie wise, this is the way to do it. Good selection of craft beer. You can tell this is a community driven local café.

For being the only place I had breakfast while in Baltimore, Spoons set the bar really high for the city. Cinnamon roll pancakes — oh my god. They weren’t overly sweet, and had the perfect texture with a little cinnamon crunch in the every bite. Others in my party had omelettes, and the eggs were cooked to perfection. The turkey sausage I had as a side wasn’t too chewy and had a great, bold sausage flavor. Overall, if you’re looking for a solid brunch spot, Spoons is an excellent choice. Just be prepared for a little wait, with a small space to wait in; our party of 5 had to wait about 30 minutes around 11am Sunday morning. However, we were able to order coffee at the bar which made the wait much easier.

Spoons is the kind of place you can always count on. Its dependable. Its authentic and will never steer you in the wrong direction. I am a true fan of any restaurant that serves a proper cup of coffee so for that spoons you get a 5!

Great brunch spot to order original and tasty breakfast. The coffee is good, brunch cocktails were good, and the menu was tons of fun to order from. There was a 40 minute wait, but they text you and let you know when your table will be ready. As a visitor though, didn’t know that there was a bar which was first come first serve. The hostess should have mentioned that to us. Because after 10 minutes of us sitting there, I went straight to the bar and realized that these were open seats! We ordered #dabeast and the cinnamon roll pancakes! They were both so goood. Dabeast! Chicken was crispy, lots of flavor, bacon was flaky, biscuit was fluffy, and the gravy was delish. It is def. A once in a while meal though. The cinnamon roll pancakes were so good. Tasted like cinnabuns! Would def go back to this spot and get both items when back in Baltimore!

Super cute spot! Located in Fed Hill, Spoons whips up some yummy brunch items and great coffee. I got the 3B Burger and breakfast potatoes. The burger was juicy and topped with cheese, bacon, and an egg… what more could you want in a savory, delicious brunch? My friend got The Beast(fried chicken, egg, biscuit and gravy) and loved it! Also, kind of random but if you are into ginger drinks, they have a really great ginger punch/beer! Our server was also incredibly friendly and really responsive to any of our requests. They get pretty crowded around noon on the weekends so come a little earlier if you don’t want to wait for a table. Overall, it is a really cozy café and definitely a great brunch spot. Will return to try other items!

My favorite breakfast place in Federal Hill. I’ve tried almost the entire menu and have never been disappointed and their coffee is top notch… HOWEVER, they have the most heinous pieces of art on their walls. My lady friend and I argue about who has to face them while we’re eating. I can’t fathom their rationale for hanging these atrocities. There is also a creepy horse from a carousel or something in the middle of the place that you have to look at if you aren’t staring at the hideous canvases. I’m not exaggerating, Spoons has possibly the worst décor I’ve ever seen in an establishment.

I came here with some friends on a friday for brunch. The service was good but could have been a little better. We had to remind our waiter of the things we had only asked him for just moments ago. The food was typical but tasty and served promptly. The prices were average. I think we each spent about $ 15 for our meals. Also, parking can be a bit of a hassel.
