Oyin Handmade

The Oyin Handmade product line is as good as it gets. They offer something for every naturalista from bath and body to hair products for your fro, braids, twists, locs, and maybe even your baldy if you’re rocking a skin-​top! Oyin has lotions and potions that smell good enough to eat (I love the disclaimer that warns you not to taste on the packaging!!). The customer service in-​store is top notch and you will be helped to find the right products for your hair or body. There’s so many fun things to try there that I would strongly recommend a store visit to local Oyin-​virgins over use of their website for your first time around but their website is equally awesome! I loved it here. I hope they get more t-​shirts in stock soon. Among my favs here: (1) Whipped Pudding (shea body butter that smells like cocoa spread — soooo great on your skin for subtle glisten and full coverage moisturizing) (2) No-​Ash-​at-​All — this is the go-​to lotion for all right here! (3) Greg Juice — leave in conditioner w great smell and perfect for styling (4) Boing! — great for twist outs and afro-​action (5) Burnt Sugar Pomade — works wonders for retwisting locs and rivals the scents of Bath and Body Works with it’s all natural/​organic properties (5) Honey Wash — my absolute fav body gel and shampoo all in one product — I keep this one in my gym bag! (6) Honey Water — a heavy spritz of this subtle moisturizing product after a shower w the Honey Wash and you’re surely feeling/​smelling like a goddess.
Overall, I recommend Oyin and the creators are friends in my head for the wonderful boutique and online store they’ve created. They also host events and that is just downright dope for Baltimore City! Gotta love it.

Being a up and coming naturalista I decided to walk to this place (it’s a few blocks from my house, how convenient !) They conveniently have these ‘snack packs’ in a few different options for you to try out their most popular hair products. I must say, I have become a fan! I do wish they were open much more than they are, because I’d much rather come here then to go to Target and purchase their products. Every time I think about going, it’s a day that they aren’t open! It’s a nice small little shop and the staff seem very welcoming! And for natural hair products, they are moderately priced! I love using their products on my hair!

High quality (great smelling) products for an affordable price. Their funk butter line is super effective and all natural. Also love the whipped shea butter products. The sales associates are very friendly and accommodating as well!

Who doesn’t like awesome handmade goodness that smells good as well as is good for your hair and body? No one!
On a recent trip to Station North I visited their shop, which is currently only open on Saturday’s right now.
I love that they sell smaller sizes in addition to the larger sizes so that you can try all their products before you commit.
All of their items smells exceptional good and work extremely well.
If you are unable to get into the store, their products can also be found at Walmart and Whole Foods.

I have tried 80% of the products that Oyin offers. I love the scents, consistency and quality. The customer service is awesome! Ashley and Derek especially are great and go above and beyond to ensure your satisfaction. Shipping is fast and easy. I highly recommend OYIN :)

Just got my @oyinhandmade #oyinhandmade GOODIE BOX (see pic)!! All of these items smells sooo DIVINE, drives me wild! I just twisted a few of my locs w/​the Sugar Berries pomade & it felt great while giving my locs some great SHINE but NOT greasey, plus I used the Juices & Berries spray, which is a BIG WINNER too! I can’t wait to use the Boing curl cream on my baby girl’s afro since her hair loves the Honeydew lotion already, which is why I got another 2 oz bottle!
Lastly, I want to send a BIG THANKS to Ashley in the @oyinhandmade Customer Service group since there was a mistake made regarding my shipping & she totally rectified the problem w/​the upmost professionalism I’ll certainly continue to be a @oyinhandmade customer!

I had the opportunity to sample some of their products and absolutely loved them! I was interested in restocking with full sized products and went online to do just then when… wait, they have a store in Baltimore! They’re only open one day a week, Saturdays from 12 PM –7 PM so you have to plan accordingly.
The boutique is super cute and the sales associate (and co-​founder) was super friendly! She answered all of our questions, walked us through the product’s use, and allowed us to sample and smell everything to our hearts content (and by the way, all the products smell amazing!!!).
I’m definitely a Oyin fan and so is my hair. I’ve found my hair’s new best friend!

After reading raves for Oyin products on hair care forum and youtube videos, I decided to order some online. When I realized they had a store in Baltimore I changed my mind and decided that I’d rather smell and see what the products were like before buying (they’re semi expensive) so I ventured to the Oyin store. They’re only open one day a week on Saturdays from 12 – 7.
The Saturday I decided to go we got a dusting of snow the day before, and it was kind of slushy out. I arrived at around 1:55pm and they were closed! As I was in the process of complaining to my boyfriend «How is this store going to be closed when they’re only open one day a week?!» A lady crossing the street overhead me, and asked if I was there for Oyin, I said yes and she told me that because of the snow they were opening at 2pm that day… oops.
I knew exactly what I wanted and she was super friendly. She even looked up directions to Ikea for us. I haven’t tried out the products yet, but they all smelled absolutely devine, and the store was really cute. If they work out for me I’ll definitely be back!
