Overlea Station

PSA: This review is from about 2 years ago. I posted it on the wrong page, so now I’m moving it to its rightful place!
Anyways…
It actually wasn’t as horrible as I expected from a semi-​dingy bar/​restaurant.
Nothing was along the lines of ‘holy crap, this is great!’, but rather ‘hey! I think this is going to go down smoothly!”.
The crab dip pizza was exactly what it sounded like. I like crab dip, so put it on some pizza dough, cover it in cheddar cheese and voila! You’ve got yourself a lactose intolerant nightmare that tastes pretty good.
The caesar salad was middle of the road– nice greens, decent dressing.
The honey chessy wings were ok. A little tough, but like I said before: better than expected. I kind of wished there had been more imagination to the sauce, as it was literally honey and old bay. It could have used a little more of something else.
My friends got the nachos and chicken melt something or other sandwich, as well as french fries. They had no problem putting that stuff down, so I think we’re safe to say that most of the food items are good to go!
The drinks are standard, in case you were super curious.
I did, however, notice a lack of service… but you should assume that from the beginning when there’s one woman at the bar and no others in sight.

Two words… CRAB PIZZA! It’s some of the best I have ever had! The crust is perfect with the right amount of delicious crab dip and cheese. I’ve had just about everything else on the menu too and have always been pleased. The burgers are top notch, beer is always cold, service is friendly and the folks who patronize are always a good crowd. If it was closer to me I would be here a lot more. Did I mention that they have Resurrection on tap and it’s cheaper than downtown?

This place has plenty of old school Baltimore charm to go around (also this place used to be the original Della Roses). The service was alright. Friendly enough, but still slow. The food however was pretty solid. My turkey Rachel was delicious. Prices are reasonable. Worth a shot if you’re in the area.
