So the other day me and my coworker were trying to find something to eat. We came across Marty’s as we were walking around, and thought why not! Also not to mention that this was the only deli nearby (a deli in baltimore is rare). My coworker and I thought this place would be a bust judging from the looks of it but it ended up being pretty decent. The owner was really nice. We both had turkey club sandwiches and a half and half to go. Place was packed with locals. Would go again if I’m ever around.

Considering all the other eateries around this area are dingy, rat-​infested and contain grease in over 90% of the menu items, Marty’s Deli is a hidden gem. A shrimp salad sandwich on wheat toast with a fresh chef salad on the side is a favorite of mine. But if you’re not a health-​nut like me, this place is famous for their chicken-​boxes (4 wings and fries). Their menu extends to way beyond what you would expect from a deli. Sukiyaki platters, French toast with eggs and bacon, etc. Exceptional find in an otherwise unexceptional neighborhood.
