It wasn’t a good start when arriving at this place, the staff had a really bad attitude. Almost walked out. If I had read the reviews upon arriving at the place I would not have gone in. Their food wasn’t awful but not wonderful. Just adequate. I really wanted more than just a plain bagel but it was such a struggle to find out what other ones they had I had to settle with plain. It was a hot day and their aircon was non-functional or so pathetic it didn’t really have any effect. Pleased to get out of there.

The reuben was really fresh and tasted great. The fish and chips had little to no flavor. Inside was very hot and pretty dirty. Overall, it was a little pricier than it should have been and we will probably not go back.

LMAO! Nothing«deli» about this place. Miserable. Miserable staff(especially the cash register guy), miserable food(think raw), miserable atmosphere, and miserable experience. Stay away. Stay far, far away. There is nothing here for you but abuse. The price may be right, but nothing else is.

Not as good as past visits. Typically love delis. We have enjoyed Lenny’s in the past and have enjoyed other locations. Food was ok — slightly disappointing. Someone was smoking in the bathroom which was also disappointing.

Great place if you have 25 minutes to wait for a mediocre sandwich. I wouldn’t mind waiting if it was busy or if the food was amazing but it was 2pm on a Monday.

Not worth the money! For the price of our meals we should have gone some where else. The quality of our sandwiches were poor and for the price I was expecting one of those sandwiches that you can only eat half of it and maybe feed two other people with the other half. It just was not what we were expecting, we will not be back anytime soon and I wish I would have read the reviews before going!!!

The worst service I have ever experienced. I went for breakfast with my brother and WEFOUND A METALSCREWINMYCUPOFHASHBROWNS!!! The manager only offered to give me a fresh cup, but when we asked for a refund he only refunded the price of the hash browns and didn’t give us the new cup. The place is dirty, and the food is overpriced and very poor quality. I’m writing this review so that others avoid wasting their time and money on such a terrible place. Seriously, just go to Panera. They will at least make it right if they screw up, no pun intended.

This place is an insult to the idea of a Jewish deli. The matzo ball soup is made from the cube, everything is not fresh and you can pound nails with their bagel. Don’t waste your money.

Last week the family and I saw this place and thought why not. We enjoy good sandwich shops so we went for it. The food was way over priced and the food was good but not great. Staff was good. We might try this place again soon or not.

The two egg breakfast was all I ever wanted while I waited for the aquarium to open. The potatoes were particularly good. The coffee left something to be desired.

This was a mercy try on my part as I was in Baltimore on business, up and hungry before lunch due to a time zone change, wandering around the inner harbor tourist zone trying to entertain myself before my work stuff started, and did not want to go to some recognizable chain. Saw Lenny’s advertising a «delicatessen» and decided to stop in. Mostly a breakfast crowd in the place but they impressed me that they told me they could easily accommodate my request for a sandwich outside of lunch hours. The cashier steered me towards pastrami on rye with mustard(served with a great peppercorn and caraway studded pickle) but several others on the menu were tempting(Bologna, Corned Beef, and Brisket). They only get 3 stars for the expense($ 9 – 12 for meat, bread, mustard and a pickle spear), the lack of other true deli items(like chicken livers), the slow preparation(many of the line cooks seemed bewildered by the electronic order board spitting out incoming orders), and the greasy feeling run-down interior. Otherwise, the food was tasty and appropriately heart-stopping in true deli fashion and the window seating overlooking the harbor is a nice people watching view(the windows open in good weather for a great patio dining sense). I can recommend it if you are in the area and have an immediate urge for fatty meat on bread but I would not travel out of my way to seek it out.

Turkey sandwich: edible, but far overpriced at 9 bucks. I coulda made a far better one at home. Didn’t even include potato salad/coleslaw or chips, and those were not even offered to me but I saw them right behind the counter. Small«tube’ of apple juice was another $ 2-something. Service was abrupt and uncaring. Cashier, who also made the sandwich, was a snarky witch who couldn’t even make eye contact with me and just wanted me outta there and gone, as if I was taking up all of her valuable time by coming in and ordering something… Mind you, it was empty in there; it was me and one other customer at the counter, and two people sitting at tables. I will not be returning when I’m in Baltimore again.

Wow, lots of attitude from the staff. Small portions sandwich-wise, and high prices. So far I think the best value for your $$$ is the chicken pot pie or the fried chicken, but with RoFo right up the street why bother?

I sure hope the original store is better as I was pretty disappointed in this place. We went for a late lunch — the radar should have gone off when there weren’t many people clamoring to get in, especially when the other restaurants in the harbor area were packed. In any case, the burger we ordered was 2nd rate — wet/old/reheated(?) party on an old scraggly bun with fries that were perhaps cooked in a fryer used to fry everything — some cross flavors were noted. Next, there was the turkey dinner. Way too salty and not very appetizing, especially with the errant hair in the gravy. I like open faced sandwiches as much as the next person, but use of deli meat as the turkey dinner is not what I envisioned. Store bought Kraft Mac and Cheese would have been more appetizing than their version — must have been the last serving if the day. I was ok with the turkey club, but will note that I had a bit of GI discomfort post meal — not saying it was the sandwich, just saying it was a coincidence. I did think that the person taking our order exhibited good people skills, but that wasn’t enough to compensate for the food quality. Another signal for trouble? We were guided that the meals would take 10 min for the food to be prepared — and it was ready in 5… usually that would be a unexpected benefit, but today it was the warning before the«storm.» Very disappointed in the value at this price point. I hope the other inner harbor restaurants don’t take advantage of the visitors to the area.

Ordered the lox and bagel and compared to Cali, they gave a good portion of lox. East coast knows how to do lox and bagel with a huge cheese slice slab of cream cheese and all the trimmings. The one thing I was interested in trying and did get was the scrapple. No, not scramble or scrabble… scrapple. It’s like a sausage meat patty. But there is no way how I can possibly describe the taste, but the texture was interesting. Think of a grilled veggie patty but when you bite into it, it’s a pasty peppery feeling. Defineitly something new to my mouth.

My sister raved about their tuna and it is delicious. There is a bit of sweetness to it that makes it a little different. The location is right on the waterfront so it makes for good people watching, although I could have done without the two teenage girls who decided to smoke their cigarettes right in front of our window. The service was probably the downfall. The guy at the register wasn’t exactly friendly and seemed quite putoff about making small changes to my sister’s sandwich. I have been to places that say there are no additions/substitions and if that is the case, state that. If that isn’t the case, then check the grumpiness please.

I had here a very good corned beef sandwich with sauerkraut. It was really really good. I also had their greek salad, with huge chunks of feta cheese, tomatoes and cucumbers and olives. The view of the harbor from Lenny’s is spectacular. This is such a nice relaxing, unpretentious place. I would highly recommend Lenny’s for a quick bite downtown Baltimore.

*Baltimore Eats* *Yelp 365 Challenge x 2179/365* After the late night pizza and chicken wings, the island people had one day to acclimate to the East coast time(yeah right). I don’t know if it’s because we were away from vog or delirious from the time difference but we decided to WALK to the Inner Harbor to have breakfast at Lenny’s Delicatessen in 30 degree weather. Note: Unilocal indicates the distance between the hotel to Inner Harbor is .05 miles. Do you know what this means? Besides running, I am also walking almost a mile a day for dinner during weekdays as well as weekends! We reached the Inner Harbor and looked around. We seen the sign, stepped in and thank goodness, it was not crowded! Our order was taken quickly and we sat by the window overlooking the harbor with a view of the USS Constellation with a tall building to our left with office windows displaying«Ravens» showing their support. In fact, activity was going on outside on Pratt Street because there was a parade for the Baltimore Ravens the next day. Our food came quickly and the portions were just right. I ordered a Belgian waffle with bacon, which hit the spot. The coffee was hot and it was perfect for me. Overall, service was quick, friendly with the prices being reasonable. I’ll probably have to return here for the sandwiches but our experience was pretty good especially since this was our first meal of our first day in Baltimore. Overview: Food: pretty good Prices: reasonable Service: Quick and friendly Ambiance: Sunny and bright Recommend: Of course! Location: Perfect location by the harbor fof locals and visitors

Good spot in that building for a casual lunch. not as good as the NYC sandwiches you would expect at a deli. The salads are super filling and big, homemade chicken noodle soup is good, but sandwiches(pastrami) is a bit too fatty. Pretty expensive for what it is!
