Leah has been doing my hair since I moved across the street three years ago. Admittedly, mine is an easy cut(#2 all over, thanks) but nothing beats Leah’s warm hospitality and local updates. She’s a great resource for what’s happening in Fells and the City. But most of all, she’s a great person and a super mom.

Leah George has been my stylists for over 5 years now and I have always had great cuts/colours and have been treated with the utmost hospitality on each occasion. Along with her years of experience and creativity, Leah brings liveliness and creativity into each appointment. I am very grateful to have found a stylist I can trust enough to give free reign over my hair and be more than pleased(and complimented) each time.

I’ve been here twice now. Once because I bought a Living Social deal for a haircut here, and the second time because my first cut was good. Both appointments were with Brandie. She is very sweet, and very good. As others have said, the salon has a laid back atmosphere, and the people in general are nice and welcoming. There is quite a bit of reading material(including sports magazines) available if you have to wait, although I have never had to wait. My first cut was just a general trim and reshaping. I was growing my hair out to donate, so I didn’t have anything major done. Still, I liked the shape of my hair after; I enjoyed the experience, and the salon is very convenient to me, so when it was time for the major cut, I went back. I LOVE my hair. I got it cut two days ago, and I’m still excited about it. Brandie did a great job reproducing the picture I brought in while also tailoring it to me. I will definitely be going back for my future hair cutting needs.

I was always a Hair Cuttery girl, I never felt the need to pay more than $ 20 on a haircut. I came to this salon after buying the living social deal and it has completely changed my outlook on who I want to cut my hair. I went in to cut my hair for a donation and I told them, «just fix it afterwards into whatever you think looks good.» They did a GREAT job and gave me a cute short cut for which I’ve received tons of compliments. The stylist also took into consideration my request that I didn’t want a style that would require a lot of effort to maintain, and said he would work with my hair texture and natural style to come up with something that matched my request. When I told friends that I was going to grow my hair out again, they even told me to leave it short because it looks good the way it is… and I don’t have to do anything to maintain it! The stylists here have good taste and produce stylish results for a reasonable price. This has become my regular salon now and I’m so glad I found it!

Like others, i too had a living social deal and went on a weekday around 4pm. I had no issues finding parking since Aliceanna St isn’t as busy as Eastern or Fleet. I didn’t exactly go with a cut in mind so Leah gave me a catalog and then consulted with me on what she thought would look good. My haircut turned out just perfect and I have received so many compliments on it. I found Leah to be attentive and not overly talkative which I prefer. I’ve been to a bunch of salons where stylists are trying to oversell you on color or give fake compliments — something Leah did not do and I appreciate. She seemed to have staff to attend the phone calls that came in and didn’t leave me until the end of the haircut. the salon was very cute and comfortable. All in all it was a pleasing experience and I would go back.

I had a LivingSocial voucher for a partial highlight and cut, and am very pleased with both. I have very long, thick, and difficult hair, but Leah was unfazed. In a nut shell: my appointment started on time, Leah did a great job fixing a bad haircut I had received elsewhere, the highlights look great, the rest of the staff was very personable, and everyone working was extremely accommodating(especially when my husband came in with my cranky children). Will return!

I bought a groupon for this salon and have been going back since. They do have a receptionist so I didnt experience any issues with having to answer phones or anything. Their stylists make great color and cut recommendations, they use awesome, new products and everyone is very nice. I highly recommend giving this salon a try, especially Eric, you’ll probably be hooked like I now am. Im often really indecisive about my hair and changes but he helped me figure out what and how I wanted it to look.

I also went in with a Groupon for a highlight and cut. I kept waiting for Tabatha to run out and save me! The two stylists shouted back and fourth to each other, answered phones and barely listened to what we wanted done to our hair. I asked for long layers and a clean up existing side bangs and face framing layers. I left without layers in the back and larger chunky layers just on the sides. They seemed to be kind people and I did get a thank you card in the mail, but I need to go for another cut to fix the damage.

I purchased a Living Social deal for a cut at Leah George as I’ve been endlessly on the hunt for a new salon. They are located in the heart of Fells Point, so you have to look for off-street parking. Something to keep in mind if you go during busier times of the day. My stylist and I had a quick consultation and he asked what was going on with my color. Admittedly, I had done a home color a couple of weeks prior and I wasn’t too happy with the result. He talked me into fixing the color, which I had thought about before arriving anyway. So I said yes. The staff was nice. The salon itself is cute, not fussy at all and it’s a pretty laid back atmosphere. If you’re looking for Red Door or About Faces/spa-like atmosphere, this isn’t the place for you. They don’t appear to have a receptionist/salon assistant, so they take turns answering the phones, which does take some time away from a client. They were apologetic about having to get the phone. Onto hair, I’m not loving it and didn’t realize until I got it home and had to style it myself. Also, my color looked great inside, but I did notice as soon as I walked outside in the natural light and in the light at home it’s really red at the root, which I told my stylist I definitely wanted to avoid as my hair tends to pull red when coloring. I do like the color towards the bottom of my hair. I just wish it was more like it at the top. The price is great but the level of quality falls a bit short for me.
